James Swallow is an English writer.
His Warhammer 40,000 novels include the Horus Heresy novels Flight of the Eisenstein, Nemesis and Fear to Tread; the Blood Angels Deus Encarmine and Deus Sanguinius (in an omnibus), Red Fury and Black Tide (in a second omnibus); and the Sisters of Battle Faith & Fire and Hammer & Anvil as well as the audio drama Red & Black.
He's also written several novels and short stories for the Star Trek Novel Verse, including:
- Terok Nor: Day of the Vipers
- Star Trek: Titan: Synthesis
- Cast No Shadow
- Star Trek: The Fall: The Poisoned Chalice.
- The Slow Knife in Star Trek: Seven Deadly Sins.
Finally, he is a noted writer of video games, having worked on Killzone 2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, along with the tie-in novel to the latter Deus Ex: Icarus Effect and the mobile game Deus Ex: The Fall.
