James Robertson Justice, born James Norval Harald Justice, (15 June 1907 — 2 July 1975), was a British actor best known for playing Sir Lancelot Spratt in the Doctor... Series.

His acting career began when he joined the Players' Theatre in London and was established as a major supporting actor in comedy films being made in Britain at the time thanks to his domineering personality, bulky physique, and booming voice. His first leading role was as Dr. Grimstone in the 1948 film Vice Versa.

Justice was the only actor to appear in all seven Doctor films. He was cast as Sir Lancelot Spratt in Doctor in the House (1954) after Robert Morley wanted too much money and played the role in all of the sequels barring Doctor at Sea, where he played Captain Hogg. He was supposed to be Acting for Two in Doctor in Trouble as Sir Lancelot and his brother, Captain Spratt, but was too ill to play both parts.

He and Gregory Peck starred in several films together such as Captain Horatio Hornblower, Moby-Dick, and The Guns of Navarone. Other films he starred in include Anne of the Indies, Upstairs and Downstairs, Very Important Person, Raising the Wind, Murder, She Said, A Pair of Briefs, The Fast Lady, Father Came Too!, and Zeta One.

After a series of strokes in his later years, he died at the age of 68.
