Jacobo Morales (born November 12, 1934 in Lajas, Puerto Rico) started out as an actor in radio and theater when he was just 14. Afterwards he developed his talents as director and writer. His writing work includes essays, poems, plays, and scripts.

He was one of the founding members of musical comedy group Los Rayos Gamma.

He appeared as rebel leader Esposito in Woody Allen's Bananas. However, the majority of his acting work has been in local productions.

His film Lo que le pasó a Santiago (English: What Happened To Santiago) holds the honor of being the first and only note  Puerto Rican film to be nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Foreign Movie category.
