Kaitlyn Helena Howard (born July 23, 1998 in New York City) is an American actress. She is of African-American and European ancestry. Howard gained widespread praise over her first role as the main character in Madeline's Madeline, playing an actress (ironically enough) whose own role begins to blur with reality.

Since then, she's taken the lead in Don't Look Deeper and joined the cast of The Wilds, gaining recognition for the latter.

She always goes by Helena, professionally and personally, never Kaitlyn, which results in her name being alliterative.

Filmography:

  • Madeline's Madeline (2018) as Madeline (lead role)
  • Twist (2019) as Hannah (short)
  • Don't Look Deeper (2020) as Aisha (lead role)
  • Social Distance (2020) as Sally (1 episode)
  • The Wilds (2020-22) as Nora (main role)
  • Shoplifters Of The World (2021) as Cleo (main role)
  • Reunited (2023) as Arina Volesky (supporting role)
  • I Saw the TV Glow (2024) as Isabel (supporting role)

Tropes in her work include:

  • Actor-Shared Background:
    • Madeline from Madeline's Madeline has a white mom like Howard does (presumably her unseen dad is black).
    • Nora on The Wilds is biracial like Howard, with a black mom and white dad (though the opposite from Howard's actual parentage).
    • Arina in Reunited is also multiracial, of African-American and Ukrainian heritage.
