Håkan Nesser, born on Febuary 21st 1950 in Kumla, Sweden, is a Swedish author and former gymnasial teacher. He mainly writes crime novels and is one of Sweden's most famous authors. He wrote more than thirty books; among his most famous works are the Van-Veteren-Series and The Barbarotti Series, as well as the novel Kim Novak badade aldrig i Genesarets sjö, which is a common reading matter in schools.
