After the success of Dabl, CBS Media Ventures decided to expand and create a general purpose entertainment channel for various Paramount series. Like with Dabl, the channel originally launched as a digital subchannel under networks owned by CBS directly.
Originally the channel focused on lower tier syndicated shows as well as relatively recent movies (such as the first three Michael Bay Transformers films), but while popular movies still get played, they have been reduced to a single weekday afternoon slot, with reruns of syndicated shows taking over most of the rest of the lineup.
