Donald Patrick Murray (July 31, 1929 – February 2, 2024) was an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter, known for his roles in Bus Stop (1956), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor; Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972); and Knots Landing (1979–82).
He was married to Hope Lange and Bettie Johnson, and has five children — two with Lange, including Christopher Murray, and three with Johnson, including composer Sean Murray.
