The television network owned and operated by Brigham Young University. It began in 2000 as a cable channel for BYU students and alumni, and started expanding when DirecTV and the Dish Network included the channel in their networks.
Around 2009, the purpose of BYUtv expanded to broadcasting Mormon media and more general family-friendly programming. The international version of BYUtv broadcasts in Spanish and Portuguese, and it was consolidated with BYUtv in 2018.
