Arthur Leslie Norman English, (9 May 1919 – 16 April 1995), was a British actor best known for playing Mr. Harman in Are You Being Served?.

Although his career started as playing Cockney spiv types on radio, he gravitated towards TV comedy in The '70s. He had a recurring role as Vincent in Doctor in the House and its follow up series (Doctor at Large and Doctor in Charge), and was cast as Mr. Harman the maintenance man in Are You Being Served? to replace the character of Mr. Mash after Larry Martyn had left the show.

He also had a large role as Arthur in the first five series of In Sickness and in Health, a sequel to '70s series Till Death Us Do Part, although he was unavailable for the final series due to health issues.

He died of emphysema at the age of 75.
