Aquaplus is a Japanese media company founded in 1994. Originally named U-Office, Ltd., it was known as Aqua from 1996 until 1998. The company's headquarters have been located in Osaka since 2000, though the development offices have moved to Tokyo.
Aquaplus is primarily concerned with the development of the adult PC Visual Novels that are sold under the brand name Leaf, with games for all ages being published under the parent company name. Leaf's visual novels have been frequently adapted for consoles and anime series since 1999. Besides maintaining a record label, F.I.X. Records, and a recording studio, Studio Aqua, Aquaplus has dabbled in such odd side businesses as restaurants and an automobile specialty shop.
