But not even death has ever been able to keep me from the thing I know in my heart I am meant to know and have and be. So I found a messenger — Malekith the Accursed. He brought Angela my plea. "I am in Hel. Come find me." So now this is Angela, Queen of Hel. And this is me, her royal consort and red right hand.
— Sera

Angela: Queen of Hel is a seven-issue Marvel Comics comic book published in 2015-2016. It was the Sequel Series to Angela: Asgard's Assassin. It was written by Marguerite Bennett, with art by Kim Jacinto and Stephanie Hans. It has been collected into a single volume, Angela: Queen of Hel - Journey to the Funderworld. It was part of the All-New, All-Different Marvel relaunch.

Tropes:

  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: The #6 issue of Queen of Hel references the writer, its own comic and other comics directly.
  • Canon Immigrant: The Leah who is now living with Angela and Sera turns out to be the Leah from the Secret Wars: Siege miniseries, and issue 6 brings Angela up against the Faustian Queen, who is really Angela from 1602: Witch Hunter Angela, who was brought into the main Marvel universe due to the cursed play written by Lady Serah somehow falling through the cracks when the Multiverse was reborn. Said play is now believed to be a lost Shakespearean play that is common knowledge, and even Thor recalls reading it in high school.
  • Deadpan Snarker: In contrast to Angela, Sera is a lot snarkier and frequent remarks on the current situation.
  • Rescued from the Underworld: The basic premise of the Queen of Hel series. Sera, Angela's love interest from Asgard's Assassin, was dead all along, and the "Sera" we meet outside of flashbacks in was Malekith impersonating her.
