What if the mob won their war against the U.S. government in the 1930s? That's the premise of The United States of Murder Inc., a creator-owned series written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Michael Avon Oeming, the creators of Powers. The book follows new made man Valentine Gallo and hitwoman Jagger Rose as they try to keep their lives together after a seemingly routine operation goes wrong. The book is published by Marvel's Creator/Icon Comics imprint.

  • Action Girl: Jagger Rose
  • The Mafia: One of the main characters has become a made man, and the book features a version of the Five Families
  • Murder, Inc.: In the title, and the modern Five Families of the book are the descendants of the 1920s-30s version.
