Spider-Woman is a 2020 comic book series from Marvel Comics. It's written by Karla Pacheco with art by Pere PĂ©rez. The series is the sixth volume of Spider-Woman and the fourth starring Jessica Drew.

The series is set in the shared Marvel Universe and part of the main Spider-Woman comic continuity.

When Jessica Drew takes a simple security job, she finds herself under attack by unknown enemies seeking to destroy everything around her.

Spider-Woman (2020) provides examples of:

  • Badass Normal: When facing the Anti-Arach9, Lindsay McCabe actually holds her own against Las Espadas Gemelas de Toledo thanks to her stuntwoman training.
  • The Bus Came Back: Issue #13 finally sees the return of Lindsay McCabe, Jessica's former roommate and business partner. It also features the return of C-list villain Fireball, who hadn't been seen since 1995.
    • Issue #18 sees the surprising return of Veranke the Skrull Queen, who had been presumed dead since Secret Invasion.
  • Breast Attack: While fighting off a Thunderbolt Unit, Jessica punches Coachwhip in the boob.
  • Breather Episode: Issue #20 is less serious than most of the run, with Jessica hanging out with her friends and family while villains with a grudge towards her try to assemble a coherent force, separating the competent ones from the Goldfish Poop Gang.
  • Clothes Make the Superman: Rebecca Marchand's suit and years of training make her a pretty competent sidekick for Jessica.
  • Combat Hand Fan: Ronnie upgrades Jessica's suit so that the glider wings are now detachable for use as these.
  • Cool Aunt: While their relationship didn't begin in the best conditions, eventually Jessica becomes this for her niece Rebecca.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Jessica. Though Octavia sarcastically talks about the 'sparkling wit' of the Drew family when Jessica comes out with a less original one.
  • Differing Priorities Breakup: After Jessica continues to neglect their relationship, Roger finally decides to call it quits and breaks up with her.
  • Driving Question: How and why is Jessica sick? How is it related to her childhood illness and her family?
  • Everyone Is Related: There aren't that many main characters in the first few issues, but several turn out to be related to Jessica.
  • Has a Type: Vincent Stegron, a humanoid dinosaur, happens to like other reptile-like women, like a mutated Octavia Vermis, which is why he helps her in revenge on Jessica.
  • Missing Mom: Jessica's mother. She turns out to be alive, or is she?
  • Parental Abandonment: What Jessica accuses her 'mother' of when she meets her again.
  • Plaster Cast Doodling: Jessica goes to Night Nurse's Clinic after Aeturnum breaks her arm where Linda Carter has her arm encased in a cast that already has writings on it, including "I hope it hurt! JK JKnote  (mostly)", a couple "feel better soon, bestie", and "I made all my spaceships stick shift, so you can't steal them" each signed with their names.
  • Series Continuity Error: The Grimes Brothers Grimm are treated as longtime enemies of Spider-Woman, even though she only fought the Dolly Brothers Grimm.
  • Villain Team-Up: Issue #20 features many of the villains Jessica has faced during the run teaming up to create the Anti-Arach9. Their formation is less impressive than it sounds.
  • Wham Line: "Then hop on, loser. We're going to space", to Carol at Carol's first appearance in this volume.
