  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are:
    • After taking Crimson Star to the royal infirmary to recover from injuries given by Fanged Paw, Golden Scepter would call him out on his self-scapegoating behavior, telling him that even if he did act like an "arrogant, reckless hooligan", he's still no less deserving of love and praise because he is still one of his sons.
    • Due to being an Alicorn god of Perfection and Potential, as well as his general personality, Luminiferous is very encouraging to those he teaches and helps, and often assures them that even if they don't think so, they are a lot stronger and more powerful than they give themselves credit for. This would lead to many of his students gaining the self-confidence needed to tap into their own potential, becoming great individuals in the end.
    • After Moon Ray Vaughoof confessed he doesn't deserve the title of 'the King of Blues' because he felt it should go to the more experienced and talented musicians who inspired him as a colt, many of his friends, including B.B. King, encouraged him to keep the title. In their eyes, he did more than enough to deserve it.
Moon Ray Vaughoof: Ah don't wanna be the King of Blues anymore. You guys... y'all inspired me. Yer the reasons why Ah decided ta go play in Silicon Valley. Compared ta y'all long-time players, Ah'm just a colt who snuck into Big Brother Field's room to pick up 'is guitar. If there's any-Pony who should be 'King', it should've been one of you.
B.B. King: Don't put yourself down like that, Lil' Moon. Blues was dyin' by the time you came along. Loud noise and big hair was becomin' the norm, and no-Pony wanted to listen to a bunch of old stallions who played something that couldn't keep up. Then you opened them doors, and I swear to the King in Heaven, we were relevant again. If anything, YOU'RE the reason why the Blues survived for so long. You took our music and played it in ways we never could. So I'd say you rightfully earned that title as King. The King of Blues!
  • You Are Not Alone: After learning of Temnobog's emotionally abusive childhood, Golden Scepter would assure Temnobog that Evil or not, he'll still go out of his way to help someone in need, especially those he calls his friends, even if he might not fully understand the suffering and struggles they went through themselves. It's believed in-universe by many divines that this (among other things) is what allowed the two of them to become good friends, as Golden Scepter's many demi-divine sons would be found closely interacting with the Four Terrors, Temnobog's surviving hybrid children, years later.
Golden Scepter: Temnobog... even though I can feel everything that you feel, I cannot say that I truly understand your suffering and your struggles, because I have never been abused myself. However, that does NOT mean that I will abandon someone in desperate need of help, ESPECIALLY those I call my friends... even if one of my friends is someone who is supposedly 'evil to the core'. If you, or your brother, are in a dire situation or you simply just want to talk, do not be afraid to seek me out. I will try to give you everything that you need to the best of my ability.
  • You Are Not Ready: One major reason the Church of the Stars exists: They know Equus is nowhere close to ready for the day the Void Sovereign escapes his prison in the Cosmic Void, and are trying hard to prepare it for when he does. This is because a galactic scale civilization existed last time he escaped, and they just barely managed to seal him away...at the cost of most of their progress, the deaths of most of their allies and friends, and countless other lives being destroyed. The goal is to be able to best him this time without that happening to such a degree.
  • You Are Too Late: Much like what her great-aunt Scarlet Bell did in her younger years, Midnight Bell attempted to save Crystal Prism, then "Page Wheel", from being experimented on by Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, feeling guilty for having a direct role in Page Wheel's kidnapping and experimentation. Unfortunately, she arrived too late, as Page Wheel turned into a magic-eating monster that would rampage across the Grittish Isles. She did, however, help distract the corrupted Page Wheel by talking him down, allowing Luminiferous and the Equestrian Princesses to defeat and kill him. This trope is implied to have played a part in Midnight's guilt complex, as she deeply regretted ruining Crystal Prism's life until he forgave her.
