    open/close all folders

    In General
Most of them have a common goal and are fixated on it; they have strong wills and often seek to be there all the time for the princess, not to talk or indulge in fun activities, but to perform their princely duties. They are usually open about their feelings but for many, it tends to focus on that one goal they have in their lives.

    Adiel

Voiced by: Toshiyuki Toyonaga

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/498s.png
Xmas Circus version - Sun awakening
Country: Country of Judgement - Arbitro
Age: 23
Adiel has an honest and straightforward personality. He was helped by Lecien a long time ago, and since then has always held gratitude towards him. He was childhood friends with both Lecien and Micaela.
  • Childhood Friends: With Micaela and Lecien. They were in a choir and used to practise singing together before Lecien's wings turned black.
  • Innocence Lost: After Lecien's wings turned black, Adiel stopped being the same mischievous little child and became more serious instead.
  • It's All My Fault: Because of what happened to Lecien, Adiel blames himself heavily for it, saying it should have been his wings to turn black. His deep admiration towards Lecien's character was sparked from that point on and Adiel often uses Lecien's character as a role model and basis of comparison for his own and everybody else's characters.
  • Pillars of Moral Character: A central theme for Adiel is 'gratitude' or On or Gimu. He admires and respects Lecien who saved him. He also mentions his gratitude to the Heroine for awakening him from the ring and saving him. For Adiel, his gratitude is a recurring subject.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Holds a secretarial position. Adiel documents records of the trial process, and manages the documents and official papers related to a case. Micaela also has said that he assists him when examining case laws.

    Akito

Voiced by: Takehito Koyasu

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/212_4.png
Country: Country of Flower Fairy - Virastin
Age: 22
As Akito is from the family of a poisonous flower, he isn't thought very well of by people around him. He is quite self-conscious, and wants to do something about it.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: While he has poison powers, he uses then to protect the country from those who want to steal and exploit the country's plant-based poisons. He also tries to undo the negative reputation that surround red spider lilies by enumerating its medicinal properties and breeding differently coloured spider lilies to rid it of its association with blood.
  • Clear My Name: In his 'Outings' version, someone with a vendetta against Akito accuses him of poisoning them.
  • Flower Motifs: Spider lilies
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Justified. Because spider lilies are poisonous, people are very wary around him. Because of that, he has low self-esteem, is surprised when others say that spider-lilies can be beautiful, and gets worried about whether he should attend public events or go anywhere at all.
  • Kind Hearted Cat Lover: In his bio, he admits that he considers himself a cat person and there is even a Memory Piece that shows him holding a cat and smiling. Also overlaps with Introverted Cat Person due to his low self-esteem and him worrying about whether to attend public events or not.
  • Klingon Scientists Get No Respect: Despite their role in protecting the country, Akito and the rest of the poisonous flowers are feared and treated with suspicion; many would run away at the sight of him. He's considered to be 'unlucky' and is barred from participating in the ceremony offering prayers to those who departed during the war.
  • Poison Is Evil: Akito and the other poisonous flower fairies typically use their poison to protect the country. They don't see poison as evil, but as a tool for protection. However, many citizens in the country believe otherwise and so they're afraid of them. This sounds unfair until you realise how easily the poison can be turned against them such as what happens in the Main Story Part 2, Chapter 4 when the poisonous flower fairies, controlled by one of the antagonists Ivan, ruin the country's flowers and hurt people.
  • Poisonous Person: As a member of the spider lily family, Akito's body contains its poison.

    Apollo

Voiced by: Daisuke Ono

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/540s.png
New Dream version - Sun awakening
Country: Country of Sun - Flareruge
Age: 23
Apollo is feared by those around him because of his power to ignite flame at will. He has a sun and lion tattooed on his chest. As the youngest brother, he only reigns over a small area of the country, but believes that in the future he will rule the whole country.
  • Had to Be Sharp: Apollo is used to being plotted against and backstabbed by his family. He's always ready to deflect their schemes. In his original version's story, Apollo tricks his family into believing he is engaged with the Heroine, knowing that her status would make them anxious. Lo and behold, they soon send Apollo away to suppress a territory. While he is gone, Apollo's older brother then invades Apollo's land and gloats that he'd steal away the Heroine. Of course, this was all part of Apollo's plan; Apollo had only needed half a day to subjugate that territory and he'd been lying in wait for his family to manoeuvre against him ever since then.
  • King of Beasts: Apollo, with his regal aura, self-confidence and intimidatingly powerful strength, is associated with lions. He even has a tattoo of a roaring lion on a blazing sun across the entire length of one side of his torso.
  • Personality Powers: Fire powers and a personality that embodies fiery assertiveness and aggressiveness.
  • Playing with Fire: He has fire powers.
  • Power Limiter: His father and his older brothers put a wedge in his heart so that whenever he uses his power, it begins to heat up and cause him great pain in that area. This wedge is a point of contention for Apollo because his father and brothers put that in his heart out of fear of his fire power and that with it, he would come to rule the entire country.
  • Protectorate: Would sacrifice himself to protect his land and his people; eventually, as his feelings grows, the Heroine as well.
  • Religious and Mythological Theme Naming: He has the same name as the Greek god of oracles, music, the sun, healing and many other things in Classical Mythology.
  • The Usurper: What Apollo plans to be.

    Azalee

Voiced by: Yoshitaka Yamaya

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/641m_4.png
Bird Song version - Moon awakening
Country: Country of Gold Dust - Salyusa
Age: 20
A free-spirited prince, Azalee believes everything is for the best. He tries to resolve every issue with money, but no ill-will is harboured against him. He has a kind heart and reaches out to those he thinks are in trouble. He has a habit of giving people sheep. (?!)

    Creto

Voiced by: Yoshitaka Yamaya

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/496m.png
Xmas Circus - Moon awakening
Country: Country of Chocolate - Shocoluna
Age: 17
Creto really wants to be cool, so is always doing research by looking in magazines and observing cool people, such as Rica. He likes chocolate and sweet things, but hides it because he thinks it's embarrassing. He is a masterful chocolatier. He was raised with Martin, Colorer, and Rica, and is close to them.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: As the only one of his 'siblings' not yet old enough to even drink, Creto is (usually) doted upon and his feelings protected by his older 'brothers'.
  • Practically Different Generations: There's 23 years between Martin and Creto, yet their introductory event insists that they view themselves as siblings.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: He works as a chocolatier.
  • Real Men Hate Sugar: He believes this to be true. Though he likes sweets, he tries to hide it as he doesn't want to be seen as less manly.
  • Supreme Chef: Has participated in competitions for his chocolate confectioneries. Creto can also make wine, having made and given his alcoholic concoctions to Martin and Rica for taste-testing.
  • Sweet Baker: Makes chocolates and is a sweet, kind-hearted person.

    Edmond

Voiced by: Ryōta Ōsaka

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/466s.png
Trick or Tea version - Sun awakening
Country: Country of Black Tea - Darjeelburg
Age: 22
With a serious personality, Edmond spends his time diligently doing government work and fulfilling his duties as a member of the royal family. He has adopted a peculiar relationship with the problem of slums in the country. He speaks his feelings frankly.

    Eins

Voiced by: Yukitoshi Kikuchi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/38_72.png
Country: Country of Time - Forrant
Age: Forever 20 (Actually 30)
Eins is a hot blooded and cocky prince who is somehow impossible to hate. Though he is 30, he refuses to stop insisting he is Forever 20. People flock to him because of his effervescent personality.
  • Chuunibyou: Insists that he is 20 despite being 30, makes up names for his attacks and moves, says grandiose statements, and has a flair for the dramatic; his imagination can approach delusional.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Downplayed. Eins sometimes shows a very err... unique way of thinking. For example, he has wondered before if his castle was a fake castle from an alternate dimension when he was in the middle of finding the Heroine and failing.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: Very downplayed. Eins isn't crazy at all, but he can get quite clingy and jealous. He once intercepted a handshake between the Heroine and his younger brother. It is usually Played for Laughs because of how candid he is about it and his comedic reactions.
  • Creepy Shadowed Undereyes: Inverted. Cheerful, open-hearted Eins is the last person to be considered as creepy. His eyebags could be because he has no objection to staying up all night when he wants to do something.
  • Endearingly Dorky: Awkward and a little strange in mannerism, but he endears himself to those around him easily.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: He seems to have this dynamic with his younger brother where in contrast his extremely excitable personality, his brother seems to be more serious and in touch with reality.
  • Futureshadowing: In his Clock version. Eins mentions meeting a goddess when he was a young boy. It becomes clear that the goddess is the Heroine after she goes back in time and meets a younger Eins.
  • Genki Boy: Always cheerful and energetic, doing everything with great gusto.
  • Gratuitous English: He tends to insert English into his sentences especially when he's making up names for his attacks and other things. Some key examples include: "The Holy Eins", "Eins Holy Night Miracle Power" and "Eins Brilliant Attack".
  • I Call It "Vera": Calls his sword "The Holy Eins" in his Clock version.
  • Incorruptible Pure Pureness: Helps out old ladies on the street, sociable and friendly with all, never putting on airs and is honest to a fault. The Heroine has remarked that it feels like her own heart is cleansed when seeing Eins' pure soul.
  • Large Ham: He tends to be very dramatic and makes up names for his attacks.
  • No Indoor Voice: His voice can get quite loud sometimes. Many of his spoken sentences end like this!!
  • Numerical Theme Naming: Like the other Time princes, Eins is named after a number. Eins means one in German.
  • Straight Man and Wise Guy: Eins is the Wise Guy to his little brother's Straight Man as the latter often has to keep his Cloudcuckoolander tendencies in check.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: In his Clock version after the Heroine picks up a tourist guide, that had dropped from Eins' pocket, titled "Ways to Advance Your Relationship With Your Lover".
Eins: Urk, that's... T-this! I only read it to learn more about the country! It's definitely not because I was going to be your guide that I was awake all of yesterday night reading this!

    Elfen

Voiced by: Show Hayami

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/276_4.png
Country: Country of Coffee - Crema
Age: 26
Elfen has a strong and passionate commitment to coffee. He is often invited to demonstrate his considerable skills both inside and outside his country in order to spread coffee to the masses. However, he can often be interpreted as being rather pushy, and as a result the people who live in his own city feel irritated.
  • Edible Theme Naming: Considering the fact that Elfen is from the Country of Coffee, his kingdom's name seems to refer to the thin layer of foam on that is found on top of expresso shots.

    Foia

Voiced by: Tomoaki Maeno

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/440s.png
Sentai version - Sun awakening
Country: Country of Spirit - Secundati
Age: 26
Foia is the prince of the Flame family of the Country of Spirit. Passionate and full of self-confidence, he chases his ideals wholeheartedly. If he breaks down, he is very sensitive. He has a high body temperature.

  • Elemental Hair Colors: Foia has the shorter red hair often associated with characters able to control the element of fire.
  • Flaming Sword: Is seen holding one in the original version's Sun awakening.
  • Gift-Giving Gaffe: Averted. Foia, Shao and Ritz used to give each other presents. Ritz recounts the times when Foia gave him such amazing gifts that they shocked him. If he were to give gifts like Foia, Ritz wouldn't know where to start.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: The person behind the engineering of a facility that he calls the Ark Plant, a plant that combines magic and science to generate energy.

    Fruys

Voiced by: Hiro Shimono

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/442s.png
Sentai version - Sun awakening
Country: Country of Spirit - Secundati
Age: 16
Prince of the Wind family of the Country of Spirit. Fruys spends his days doing whatever he wants and controlling the power of the wind. Though he can be fickle, he is also kind-hearted. He likes strawberry juice.
  • Blow You Away: Can use wind-based elemental powers. He uses his powers a lot to float around and he can also carry people into the air with him (though they'll have to hold on).
  • Elemental Hair Colors: Due to the fact that Wind Is Green, Fruys' wavy and unruly green hair fits his control of the element of wind.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: It's technically a drink but he likes strawberry juice.
  • Wind Is Green: As the prince of the Wind family, Fruys' colour palette heavily features green.

    Gerber

Voiced by: Jun'ya Enoki

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/353.png
Gift version - Unawakened
Country: Country of Flower Fairy - Virastin
Age: 26
Gerber has a bright and positive personality, and is committed to helping out and cheering up the people around him.

    Graysia

Voiced by: Yoshimasa Hosoya

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/59m.png
Original version - Moon awakening
Country: Country of Snow - Snowphilia
Age: 19
The second prince of Snowphilia. His older brother is Frost, and his younger brother is Synny. He does everything in a cool way, and is very clever. However, his personality is awkward, and he looks down on those who don't have the blood of his country running through their veins.
  • Always Someone Better: No matter how much he tries, he feels like he can't ever compare to his brothers.
  • Ambiguously Absent Parent: His parents are never mentioned and it's up in the air what happened to them. Even the country's affairs are being handled by Frost with no mention of where the king and queen are.
  • An Ice Person: Has snow powers, though not as powerful as his brothers. It is one factor for his inferiority complex.
  • Lap Pillow: In the moon route of his Dragon Knight version.
  • Middle Child Syndrome: In the eyes of the citizens, Graysia is nothing compared to his brothers. Frost is The Ace and rules over the country, while Synny is a Child Prodigy, leaving Graysia forgettably average.
  • Running Away From Home: Has disappeared from the castle for a year, worrying Frost and Synny. Graysia ran away in secret to train after he botched up an annual ceremony that required their snow powers to cease the snowstorm. He returns after a year to attempt it again.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: The Snowphilia family, including Frost and Synny, all have white hair and red eyes with the same vertically slitted pupils.

    Haldine

Voiced by: Kaito Ishikawa

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/55_61.png
Country: Country of Black Tea - Ticha
Age: 22
Haldine has little interest in the throne or politics, and prefers to act as free as a bird. This gives the royal family quite the headache. He is sociable and talkative, and enjoys giving people nicknames. His own nickname is 'Hal'.

    Hearts

Voiced by: Yūki Kaji

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/427_0.png
Splash version - Unawakened
Country: Country of Marvel - Wondermare
Age: 17
Hearts is from the family of the Queen of Hearts. He has a bad habit of ignoring what people say and behaving recklessly when he gets overexcited. Due to his age he has a slightly distorted, frenzied craving for the limelight. He idolises Mad Hatter, and longs for his own 'Alice'.

    Heldt

Voiced by: Kappei Yamaguchi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/472m.png
After Story version - Moon awakening
Country: Country of Red Hunt - Vealoth
Age: 23
Though he is cocky due to his optimism, his cockiness is balanced by his real strength, meaning he is relied upon heavily by others. He is friendly and sociable, able to speak amiably with people he's only just met. In order to fight off the Evil Beastmen and the Yumekui, he is considering forming an alliance with the neighbouring country of Besmaar.
  • Hunter of Monsters: Hunts the Evil Beastmen. Compared to normal Beastmen, they're more closer to wild animals than human and they feast on human flesh.
  • Little Red Fighting Hood: Heldt's past mirrors the story of red riding hood. He once hated fighting and would skip his firearms training. However, one day he was attacked by Evil Beastmen while skipping a lesson; he was saved by passerby huntsmen. From that day on, Heldt finally realised fighting wasn't about killing but about protecting. He became an expert gunsman and was given his red cloak, a special cloak only given to royalty.
  • Red Is Heroic: Red has a very special meaning to Heldt's country because the first person who felled an Evil Beastman was garbed in red. From then on, only protectors that is, royalty can wear red. Heldt once thought that Red Is Violent; he never liked the blood-like colour of red. However, being saved from Evil Beastmen served as a catalyst for him to realise its heroic connotation.
  • The Gunslinger: Displays outstanding skill with the gun. As such, he's famed among Evil Beastmen; just by himself, he can kill or scare off what a group of soldiers cannot.

    Hikage

Voiced by: Masatomo Nakazawa

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/63_9.png
Country: Country of Four Seasons - Hourai
Age: 23
The prince who controls summer is as bright and open as the season he represents. He has a kind and caring personality and is deeply worried about Oka, the prince who governs spring. Hikage enjoys entertaining children.
  • All Women Are Delicate: What Hikage believes. Hikage describes himself as someone who will dedicate all his attention and affection to the things he loves, but because he's direct and straightforward and can't make small talk, his well-meaning intentions end up hurting the other person. Since he considers women to be small, soft and tender, he is worried that this aspect of him might hurt or destroy them.
  • Empathic Weather: The weather is often written to reflect Hikage's mood. When he gets mad or sad, the sun will be nowhere to be seen and dark clouds will loom in the sky, casting a shadow over his face. Once his mood brightens, sun rays will break through the clouds.
  • Love Makes You Dumb: There is a huge contrast to how Hikage behaves around the Heroine before and after he starts liking her. One being that he blushes a lot and is constantly fumbling in his words and actions when before he was a lot more open and friendly and is the type of person to get along well with anyone. He even acts a bit tsundere.
  • Seasonal Motif: Summer. His smiles are often described as being 'like a sun' or 'like the summer sun'. His complexion has been said to be a 'tanned, wheat' colour, implying he spends a lot of time outside in the sun. His favourite place is also the seaside or the sea.

    Inami

Voiced by: Wataru Hatano

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/513m.png
Original version - Moon awakening
Country: Country of Calendar - Kuyou
Age: 24
Inami is from the family of the Ox. His specialty is the traditional stomping dance that focuses on the legs - 'Shuubu'. Though he is gentle and goes at his own pace, he has the strong determination to see things through once he's decided to do them. He doesn't realise it, but he is popular both inside and outside his country due to his faithfulness and unassuming personality.
  • Eastern Zodiac: As one of the Kuyou princes, Inami is based on one of the animals from the eastern zodiac - the Ox.

    Jet

Voiced by: Kazuya Nakai

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/85_4.png
Country: Country of Movie - Bodible
Age: 26
A professional stunt double who supports action movies from the shadows, from a pedigree action movie star family. Jet takes pride in his stunts and doesn't like acting very much.

    Juri

Voiced by: Takayuki Kondō

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/117m_0.png
Original version - Moon awakening
Country: Country of Ice Treats - Shalyart
Age: 22
Juri has the mischievous personality of someone born and raised in the Edo period, but is also a trusted older brother who takes great care of his six brothers and sisters. Once he's decided to do something, he sees it through with focus and tenacity.
  • Anger Born of Worry: In his original story, his little brothers go out to play in the snow but don't return at the end of the day. This worries Juri as the snow has become a blizzard at this point and he and the Heroine head out to the mountains to look for them. Once there, the two of them find his younger brother Ichigo who tells them that he and the rest of them siblings were the ones to blame for the blizzard as they had befriended a young yeti and just wanted to see snow. Juri yells at him for doing something so stupid but after cooling down for a bit, both of the brothers apologize to each other.
  • Big Brother Instinct: He cares a lot about his younger siblings and is very protective of them.
  • Edible Theme Naming: His kingdom's name is based on "sherbet". His younger siblings also tend to follow this naming as their names include Ichigo ("strawberry" in Japanese), Lemon, and Mizore (which means "sleet" in Japanese but can also refer to shaved ice with honey).
  • Significant Birthdate: His birthday is Kakigori Day (July 25th), which is called that due to how the Japanese pronunciation of the date na-tsu-go, sounds like natsugori or summer ice.

    Leeya

Voiced by: Takashi Kondo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/468s.png
Trick or Tea version - Sun awakening
Country: Country of Rainbow - Oz
Age: 22
Contrary to his rough manner of speaking and appearance, Leeya has a deeply caring personality. After receiving wit from Oswald he became a genius and is therefore depended upon by his townspeople.
  • Berserk Button: Being called an idiot. After the Princess of Traumere says that she thinks that his idea of turning the castle into a scarecrow is a little ridiculous, he takes it as her implying that he's an idiot and he becomes extremely angry. Fortunately, she tells him that that isn't the case, and he apologizes to her.
  • Loved by All: In his original story, it is shown that all of the townspeople look up to him and say nothing but praises about him. Even after he accidently wrecks the town with a giant scarecrow in both of his endings, they hold nothing against him and are just happy that he managed to drive off the crows.

    Marchia

Voiced by: Tetsuya Kakihara

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/76.png
Country: Country of Marvel - Wondermare
Age: 20
Marchia is from Marchburrow, where the March Hares gather in Wondermare. He enjoys making fun of people, causing mischief, and telling trivial lies. He thinks anything is permissible if you enjoy yourself. Has a thing for butts.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Since Marchia is based on the March Hare from Alice in Wonderland, he has attributes of a hare including ears and a tail.

    Nayuta

Voiced by: Masaya Matsukaze

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/483s.png
Maple Leaf version - Sun awakening
Country: Country of Hot Spring - Kaiten
Age: 500
A descendant of Nekomata (two-tailed cats), with a free-wheeling personality to match. He almost never leaves his country due to his duties as manager of the mystical village of the hot springs, but he loves hearing stories about other countries from visitors to his onsen. To be seen in his cat form would bring dishonour upon his entire family. There are very few men in his family.
  • Gender Rarity Value: Male children are rarer than female children. Any boys born to the family are treasured.
  • Healing Spring: What the hot springs supposedly are. The hot springs are known for curing illnesses and healing injuries. There's even a hot spring that can supposedly help with love.
  • Partial Transformation: Nayuta can switch between his cat or his human form. Though he finds it shameful when his cat ears appear, Nayuta leaves his human form partially transformed with his cat tails, explaining to the Heroine that the tails have their advantages.
  • Really 700 Years Old: He's 500 years old
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: He's the manager of the Kaiten springs.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Coffee milk. To the point that he shouts 'coffee milk is the best!' after clearing a fight.

    Nepenthes

Voiced by: Hiroki Takahashi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/96m.png
Original version - Moon awakening
Country: Country of Flower Fairy - Virastin
Age: 22
A gourmet who wants to taste everything in the world. And, of course, that includes the Heroine. He has the power to taste people's personalities with his tongue. His pheromones are intoxicating.
  • Bizarre Taste in Food: During Chapter 4 of Main Story Part 2, Nepenthes serves dishes such as the eye of one of Avalon's monsters and light earthworms grown in the soil of Pleia much to everyone else's reluctance. The Heroine had just overextended herself and fainted, so she got some normal soup instead.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: His personality is rather...interesting to say the least.
  • Consuming Passion: Too many descriptions of how the Heroine feels ‘hot’ or how her heart jumps when Nepenthes goes in to lick her skin. Nepenthes also talks a lot about how good she smells or tastes and how much he wants to consume her completely.
  • Creepy Good: He makes several cannibalistic innuendos, is prone to Perverted Sniffing around the Heroine and has even licked her before. In addition, his food preferences tend to veer into the weird and disgusting territory so much that it often has to be censored. That being said, he's friends with all the other Virastin princes and helps out the main cast in Part 2 of the Main Story.
  • Floral Theme Naming: Named after a genus of carnivorous plants, which matches well with all of his almost cannibalistic innuendos...
  • In-Series Nickname: Lyon calls him "Nepe-san".
  • Large Ham: He isn't subtle about how ecstatic the Heroine makes him and about the way she tastes to him. One should also expect him to go into a lot of detail about how amazing the food he's eating is.
  • Lecherous Licking: Nepenthes steals tastes of her with his tongue such as licking across Hime's hand to which she reacts understandably not well to.
  • Multipurpose Tongue: Nepenthes' tongue is able to analyse the composition of a person or object through its taste. During Chapter 4 of the Main Story Part 2, Nepenthes uses it to analyse what type of poison was used on the flowers and the citizens. He can also 'taste' a person's nature such as the Heroine being a warm person and having a attractive, warm taste.
  • Obsessed with Food: Nepenthes thinks about food a lot. You could consider him a gourmand of exotic and unusual flavours. He’s always hungry and always looking for the ‘perfect taste’. If Nepenthes pops up in a story, there will be mention of something related to either food or he’s absolutely starving for something to eat.
  • Only Sane Man: Inverted. While Akito, Gerber and Lyon are relatively normal people, Nepenthes is most definitely not.
  • Perverted Sniffing: Is prone to this when around the Heroine because according to him she has an unbelievably amazing smell.
  • Pixellation: Nepenthes’ foodstuffs that got stolen during April Fools' Day is pixelated as a visual gag because he has Bizarre Taste in Food and therefore his food choices are often unusual and disgusting.
  • Scary Teeth: Nepenthes has jagged, pointed teeth. This is most likely to represent the spines of a flytrap.
  • Smells Sexy: Nepenthes exudes a special scent, just like how a nepenthes plant does to attract prey.
  • Wingdinglish: Nepenthes' speech sometimes sinks into gibberish symbols in place of words. This usually happens when he starts rambling about the taste of something.

Country: Country of Pirate - Ancula
Age: 27
Rosso is a prince with a bright and playful personality, and his thoughts are always full of his comrades. He is called the 'Ghost Prince' due to his ship's ghostly, run down appearance. Continuing to use his dilapidated ship is extremely important to him.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: This happens to him courtesy of Miru and Lou in Chapter 1 of Part 3 and he attacks Douglas and the main group.
  • Ghost Ship: Subverted. Many stories have Rosso's ship, the Balenarossa described as a ghost ship due to its run-down and dilapidated appearance; however, the ship is still functional and the crew are all living.
  • Pirate Parrot: Rosso has a pet cockatiel named Pepe.

    Ruber

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/14_37.png
Country: Country of Star - Canes
Age: 23
Sirius has a rather rude, brusque personality. He worries about and tries to keep an eye on his young cousin, Procyon. If he senses someone is an enemy, he will snap at them. His tail accessory was a present from Procyon.
  • Big Brother Instinct: To his 8 year old cousin, Procyon.
  • Commonality Connection: Though he and Droite have an argument on whether Procyon or Gauche is better, the two of them eventually bond over the fact that they both have younger family member that they care a lot about. That, and the fact that Procyon and Gauche seem to get along.
  • Goggles Do Nothing: He wears a pair of goggles on his hair, which he doesn’t really need for anything.

Bungo Stray Dogs version - Moon awakening
Country: Country of Magic Science - Daten
Age: 25
Though Sky acts tough and may come across as a bad guy, deep down he is straightforward and shy. He always carries a gun and cigarettes with him, but he doesn't actually smoke. Though he is told it is quite a surprising thing about him, he likes to keep things clean. He has a special bicycle modified to look like a motorbike. He is the cousin of Makoto, and supports him while they are both in hiding from the corrupt government who executed the king and queen, Makoto's parents.

    Stimma

Voiced by: Taishi Murata

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/31_7.png
Country: Country of Voice - Vox
Age: 23
Stimma has a bright and cheerful personality, and he loves his younger brothers, Flu and Rufen. He has difficulty saying what he wants to properly when the time is crucial. He is burdened with a lot of difficult expectations as the heir of the throne.
  • Bait-and-Switch Comment: In his original Moon route, he says that he originally thought that the Heroine was like a younger sister to him. She then waits for him to continue, expecting a love confession. However, Stimma instead says that she's actually more like an older sister.
  • Like Brother and Sister: How he views his relationship with the Heroine in his original Moon route.

    Tiga

Voiced by: Daisuke Kishio

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/45_9.png
Country: Country of Jewel - Gartina
Age: 20
Cheerful and openhearted, Tiga is faithful to his desires. His actions always get others involved, but it's difficult to hate him. He loves horseback riding, and is often going off on rides.
  • Childhood Friends: With Lid and Sai. In his original story, there is a man named Luca who claims to be this with Tiga but it turns out to be a lie.
  • Comic Trio: He forms one with Lid and Sai when he fills in the role of the leader as he's the one who comes up with plans that often end up with them getting in trouble. Or more specifically, he and Lid getting in trouble.
  • Curtains Match the Window: He has red hair and red eyes.
  • Friend to All Children: He, Lid and Sai appear to be on friendly terms with their countries' children and will play with them from time to time.
    • In the 'Dancing Shadows' event as well as in a 4-koma, it's shown that he's good friends with Rolf.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business
    • For the most part, Tiga is genuinely friendly to others and tries to include them in his activities and while he can be pushy at times, it's mainly because he wants others to have a good time when visiting the Country of Jewel. In his original story, there is a man named Luca who he is openly hostile towards and wants nothing to do with especially after the latter tries to get close to the Heroine. It is then revealed the only reason why Luca tried to get closer to her was because she was the Princess of Traumere and he wanted to use her to one up Tiga. He then goes on to say that he has no other interest in her and that he finds her unsophisticated. In his Moon ending, Tiga gets so pissed off by that comment that he straight up punches Luca.
    • In one of the side stories, he and Lid get into an argument regarding his maturity and having to grow up which results in him sadly running away when Lid gives him the silent treatment. Following said argument, there is a period of time where he doesn't meet up with Lid and Sai and he is shown to be very depressed. Thankfully the Princess of Traumere gets the three of them to reconcile and Tiga goes back to his usual cheerful self.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Is the excitable red oni to both Lid (at least in comparison) and Sai's calmer blue oni.
  • Rock Theme Naming: His kingdom, Gartina comes from "garnet". It is also possible that his name is based on "tiger's eye."
  • Stylistic Suck: Episode 2 of the anime shorts gives the viewers a glimpse into Tiga's writing abilities. While the concept behind his screenplay is solid (He, Lid and Sai becoming detectives in order to find out who stole a jewel), the plot quickly goes off the rails. Not only does Sieg die over a banana note , but Kies gets uncharacteristically emotional after eating some risotto and it turns out that the jewel (which turned out to be a fake made out of candy due to Kies losing the original one) was in Totori's mouth the whole time.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: While he and Lid do bicker from time to time, mainly because Lid gets angry at Tiga for dragging him into something stupid, they're still best friends. This also applies to his relationship with Sai at times when Tiga gets annoyed whenever Sai decides to tease him.
  • Wall Pin of Love: He does this in his original Moon ending where he tells the Heroine that the reason why he likes her isn't because she's the Princess of Traumere, but because he likes her as a person.

    Tormari

Voiced by: Ayumu Murase

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/138_0.png
Butterfly version - Unawakened
Country: Country of Jewel - Malineglace
Age: 16
At first appearance, Tormari appears to be a cute girl. He has an innocent laugh and behaves in a free-spirited manner. He is very protective of his younger twin brother, Almari, and always takes care of him. Though he is the crown prince, he doesn't want the throne and is prepared to take drastic measures to make himself appear as unfit to be king as possible.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Has this in heaps and spades for Almari. Tormari is very overprotective of his brother, always accompanying him to wherever he goes. When Almari was sealed in a ring following a Yumekui attack, Tormari immediately left to go and save him.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Literally. Which part of him looks like a guy?
  • Effeminate Voice: Like some of the other characters that Ayumu Murase voices, Tormari's voice is high pitched and girly.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Tormari is more outgoing and impulsive than his quieter, more responsible brother, Almari.
  • Pink Girl, Blue Boy: Although they're both male, Tormari is the pink girl to his twin's, Almari, blue boy.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Many of his outfits feature pink in some way. If not, the colours also range from red to purple shades.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to both Almari's and Perla's blue. Compared to those two, Tormari is more energetic and impulsive. In addition, he is quite vocal about how Perla can't just stay in bed all day.
  • Rebel Prince: Tormari doesn't want to take the throne, so he tries to make himself seem unfit for it as possible. That being said, he does seem to genuinely enjoy crossdressing.
  • Regal Ringlets: Tormari's pigtails fall in ringlets, and he is a crown prince...
  • Rock Theme Naming: His name comes from "tourmaline".
  • Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: He's the manly man to Almari's sensitive guy as he's more assertive and outgoing than his brother. It's Played With however as he's also the more effeminate of the two.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: He enjoys wearing cute dresses.

Prison warden for prisoners who have committed the crime of 'Avarice'. Vashti believes everything in the world belongs to him, and is rather overbearing. He takes great care of all his possessions and cherishes them deeply, even his pens. He has Vedy's missing horn on his belt.
  • Animal Motifs: Fox. Like the other Votalia, he has a emblem with his animal emblazoned on it.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: He can come off as strange sometimes and in Episode 8 of the anime shorts, he even put a sticker of himself doing a thumbs up on a baby that he just found to mark it as one of his possessions. That being said, he can handle himself in a fight as shown in Main Story Part 3 where he fights Lou. In addition, once he manages to track down the people who kidnapped the baby from its mother, he punches them and later on, what he and the other Votalia princes do to them isn't implied to be good.

Prison warden for prisoners who have committed the crime of 'Envy'. Vedy has an obedient, honest personality. Though he has experienced a lot of jealousy in his life, he isn't familiar with jealousy about love. Vashti has his missing horn on his belt.
  • Animal Motifs: Sea snake. If you look closely at his versions, you'll be able to spot his emblems containing a super-stylised sea snake.
  • Butt-Monkey: Out of all the Votalia princes, Vedy seems to have the worst luck.
    • One of his horns has been broken in off and is currently in Vashti's possession.
    • In one of the 4-komas, he first gets scared by Rosso and then by Raven and in another one, Grad eats his pudding.
    • There is even a Memory Piece where he loses to Acedia of all people in a game of battledore.
    • In Episode 8 of the anime shorts, there is a brief gag where Vedy temporarily loses the baby that he and the other Votalia princes were takin care of.

Vio's role is to manage the various world records stored in Lecord. His fashion sense is bizarre, and his wardrobe is apparently the height of fashion in Fresian, Medi's country.

Xmas Circus version - Unawakened
Country: Country of Aspiration - Circo
Age: 17
The second youngest prince of Circo, Welger performs in the wild animal show in the circus run by his older brother, Nero. He hates people lying to him, but due to his aspirations to be a strong protector he often ends up lying to others to make himself appear stronger.
  • Adult Hater: He hates adults. He distrusts the Heroine when he first meets her just because she was an adult.
  • The Beastmaster: Works as the animal trainer for the circus. The beasts that he trains listens to all his commands and will attack if needed.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: In the second chapter of Main Story Part 2, he and Drole get possessed by Yzak's Yumekui causing them to attack Nero and Morta.
  • Circus Brat
  • Compulsive Liar: Welger lies quite often to make himself seem more better and dependable than he really is. For example, lying about being able to talk to plants or referring to the Heroine as his girlfriend to the circus kids. He lies because he wants to seem like his reliable older brothers. However, his lies are always something he eventually wants to become true.
  • Freudian Excuse: His hatred for adults and others lying comes from when adults lied to him and used him for experiments.
  • Straw Hypocrite: Lies but really hates it when other people lie to him. He also hates being doubted (Welger: 'Are you saying I'm lying?!'), called a liar or when he's caught out in a lie. Yet, at times he acknowledges the fact that he's well aware that he's a liar. Welger hates being lied to because of how adults in the past lied and used him during their research into drugs that could be used to make weapons.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: In his Bunny version, Welger is exposed by the circus kids to have been the most eager for, as described by Welger himself, his "girlfriend's" arrival. Cue Welger calling them liars and vice versa.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: Welger communicates with the circus animals and uses it to teach the children at their circus they aren't so scary.
