Team Natsume
Chiya

- Berserk Button: DON'T even think about proposing to cut her hair.

- Innocent Fanservice Girl: Thinks that showing one's bellybutton is the best way to apologize. Others think that's indecent exposure. She is also unfamiliar with the concept of underwear, and found clothing in general extremely uncomfortable.

A girl who specializes in kokkuri fortune telling.
- Always Second Best: Once had this complex towards Chiya since it's obvious that the latter is The Chosen One.
- Animal Motifs: Kitsune, due to the way she wears her ribbon. Also, her name is Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound of a fox's bark.

Teachers and Adults
Nina Natsume
Voiced by: Ai Kayano
Operator of Natsume-ya, a diviner/teahouse, and also the younger uraras' instructor. She's a fifth rank urara.
- Animal Motifs: A sheep.
- Cool Big Sis: To Nono.
- Fortune Teller: Part of her current job.
- My Sister Is Off-Limits: Nono recalled she and Saku forbade males from coming close to Nono.
- Sensei-chan: compared to Tokie, she's friendly and very immature, to the point her students can find her out at a time when all teachers in Meirocho were dressed as oni. Justified that she's 20, just at the Japanese age of majority and is extremely young for that profession.
- Seppuku: When Saku wanted to banish Koume,Chiya and Kon for what she considered indecent exposure, Nina had a fit of depression because of being deprived of her students and announced that she'll commit harakiri (Saku managed to talk her out of that by not banishing her students).

The boyish-looking leader of the watches in the 10th district.
- Animal Motifs: A deer.
- Berserk Button: Don't do anything indecent in front of her.
- Bifauxnen: She'd otherwise be confusable with a boy but for the way she wear her socks.
- Boyish Short Hair: She looked pretty feminine and had longer hair when she was a teen, but cut her hair short when she join the watches.
- Chick Magnet: Is popular among the female watches.
- Even the Girls Want Her: She has a pretty large Instant Fan Club.
- Gender-Blender Name: "Saku" is usually a male name. More so if the kanji is considered.
- In Vino Veritas: She comes out of the closet easier while drunk.
- Japanese Politeness: Averted; she is rather condescending to most people she addresses.
Tokie Tatsumi
Voiced by: Mamiko Noto
A second-rank urara, operator of Tatsumi-ya, another diviner/teahouse, and the mother of Kon.
- Noblewoman's Laugh: Breaks one out during the Rank 9 promotion exam.
- Sadist Teacher: Since she sees any urara as her potential competitors, she enjoys the suffering of the students—her daughter included— during their exams.
- Spock Speak: Generally well-spoken.
Familiars
Kurou
A mythical creature that becomes Chiya's guardian.
- Dark Is Not Evil: A dark creature that defends Chiya from greater danger.
Yureru/Cadence/Undulette
A spirit that hosts in Ko'ume's Dowsing Device.
- Phenotype Stereotype: Probably because of Ko'ume's Foreign Culture Fetish, she appears as a blond and shapely European girl.
- Spell My Name With An S: Both Sentai Filmworks and a major fansub group both translate her name. The problem is they use a different base word.
Matsuko
Nono's talking doll.
- Companion Cube: To Nono.
- Creepy Doll: She's a doll with dark, gloomy eyes that speaks in a really deep voice and can spin her head around 360 degrees, as shown in Episode 1. The background also changes to a dark blue pattern when focusing on her. Not quite Nightmare Fuel, but definitively uncanny.
