The Celestials
The Celestials were created by Project Eternity, run by the ancient centaurs. Extremely powerful, and extremely secretive, they were murdered by Grogar a long time ago. This hasn't stopped them, merely driven them from being Physical Gods to The Powers That Be. Celestia and Luna, Celestials themselves, are both descendants of the originals.

    General
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: All of the original Celestials and their descendants represent an abstract concept.
    • Pale represents death.
    • Chronos represents time.
    • The Nameless One, formerly known as Eternity, represents magic.
    • Terra Firma represents the entire world.
    • Celestia and Luna represent the sun and moon, respectively.
  • Badass Family: The original Celestials consider each other siblings, and Celestia and Luna descend from them.
  • Deity Of Pony Origin: Deliberately created in the Skyreach facility.
  • Posthumous Character: They were killed by Grogar, but have remained as shadows of their former selves, Eternity even lost her name in the transition.
  • The Powers That Be
  • Un-person: They have a standard procedure of inflicting Laser-Guided Amnesia on anyone who knows about them, and the means to carry it out.

    Pale
The Power that guards the boundaries between life and death, keeping thieves out and the dead in. He appears to be the Anthropomorphic Personification of death. He was murdered by Grogar during a previous attack. Brother to Chronos.

    Terra Firma
The Anthropomorphic Personification of the Earth. Tarnish is her champion. She was murdered by Grogar during an earlier attack.
  • Demonic Possession: She is capable of possessing any Druid at will.
  • Mother Nature
  • Soul Jar: Every Druid is one for her, making killing her a very difficult prospect, requiring the simultaneous murder of every Druid and the destruction of the Druid's Grove.

    The Power of Magic
The Nameless One, formerly known as Eternity and later, as Twilight Sparkle Who Will Be. Twilight Sparkle is her champion, and she has an interest in Shēdo and Dim Dark as well. The Nameless One is dying from the corruption of magic, but her book, recovered from Skyreach by Tarnish, permits Twilight Sparkle to take her place and repair the damage, meaning that this is actually two separate characters in several guises: Eternity, who died and destroyed her name to become the Nameless, who then actually died. The role was then taken up by Twilight Sparkle, who spent several thousand years shadowing Eternity to successfully claim the role, and becomes Twilight Sparkle Who Will Be.
  • Cool Old Lady: The Nameless One, in the brief time we know her.
  • Deader than Dead: The Nameless One passes into Pale's realm during Ink.
  • A Death in the Limelight: The Nameless One's first appearance was in Ink.
  • Do Not Go Gentle: Sumac's empowering is Eternity's last defiance to the uncaring universe.
  • Dream Walker: Appears to Shēdo and Dim Dark in dreams as Twilight Sparkle That Will Be, apparently intentionally.
  • Fallen Hero: The Essence of Night Who Might Be seems to think this of the Nameless One, who has fallen from being pure Harmony to a more neutral stance.
  • Logical Weakness: Her command over destiny covers everything that lives. Guess why Grogar is a Necromancer.
  • Mama Bear: The Nameless One claims to have done terrible things to protect her daughters, and there is no reason to disbelieve her.
  • The Nameless: As the Nameless One. Eternity deliberately destroyed her name, because if she had a name to be assumed by her replacement, the taint would claim them too.
  • Non-Linear Character: As Twilight Sparkle that is, as she goes back to fix the problems that occurred before she became who she is now.
  • Rewriting Reality: Uses this motif when conveying a dream message, living in a world of paper and claiming to want to write a new chapter for Shēdo. This is because the powers are tied to the Ink, the force of destiny that writes the destiny of every living thing.
  • Sentient Cosmic Force: As suggested by the title, the Power is intimately tied to the Background Magic Field, and Grogar's corruption of it is killing her as the Nameless One. Her death and replacement by Twilight arrests the corruption.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Twilight Sparkle That Will Be is the result of Twilight Sparkle That Is using Eternity's book to repair the corruption that kills the Nameless One.
  • The Slow Path: How Twilight Sparkle That Is becomes Twilight Sparkle That Will Be
  • Tomes of Prophecy and Fate: Her book grants access to the Library of Souls, which contains the updating biographies of every living thing.
  • Winds of Destiny, Change!: One of the powers of the Librarian Of Souls, although one that must not be misused.

    Chronos
Watches over time, and also takes Flicker as a champion. He was murdered by Grogar in an earlier attack. Brother to Pale.
