The Simpsons

The bumbling father of the Simpson family. Homer is available from the very beginning of the game, having caused the accident that resulted in Springfield's destruction. It's the player's task to help Homer rebuild Springfield in whatever manner they choose.

- And Your Reward Is Clothes: Obtaining the Strongman Homer costume is as simple as correctly answering a question based on the 2013 Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode.

- Mistaken for Cheating: During the Valentine's Day 2014 storyline, Lisa suspects Homer is cheating on Marge when he spends an awful lot of time hanging around picnics and restaurants with Mindy. Turns out she's helping him prepare a romantic surprise for Marge instead.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Has this reaction in the Holiday 2014 event when Russ Cargil explains in loving detail what his feds are going to do to Santa's elves.
- Narcissist: The Cool Homer costume.
- Rage Against the Author: In the "Simpsorama" promotional event, he tries to force Matt Groening to cancel the Simpsons-Futurama crossover, on the grounds that Simpsons crossovers never end well.
- Rewarding Vandalism: Ninja Homer's four-hour task is to Smash up Flanders House.
- Santa Claus: The Santa Homer costume.
- Sole Survivor: At the start of the game, Homer is the only Springfielder left after he accidentally blew up Springfield. The main plot of the game involves him trying to bring everyone else back.
- Tag Team: If the player has the Open Air Stage, Homer can perform a three-hour task with Apu, Barney and Skinner.
- Strongman Homer's task, Piggyback Mr. Burns.
- The Un-Favorite: Despite his iconic status, Matt Groening admits to him that he prefers Bender.

- Amazonian Beauty: The Muscular Marge costume.
- Evil Costume Switch: The Marge the Witch costume, made available during the Halloween storylines.
- Evil Wears Black: The Marge the Witch costume.
- Eye of Newt: Marge the Witch's one-hour task is to Buy Eye of Newt from the Kwik-E-Mart.
- Feminine Women Can Cook: During the Christmas 2012 storyline, Marge had a sixteen-hour task, Prepare Christmas Treats. This was the only task she had that rewarded the player with Christmas Coins.
- Flying Broomstick: Marge the Witch's task, Do a Victory Lap, features Marge flying around Springfield on one of these.
- Making Love in All the Wrong Places: Her one time twelve-hour task Snuggle in the Golf Course with Homer during the Valentine's Day 2013 storyline.
- Missing Mom: Until the player reaches level 15. Maggie aside, she's the last member of the family you unlock, which leaves Homer, Lisa and Bart to their own devices for quite a while (when she comes back she's horrified to find that without her reliable home cooking they've mostly survived by looting the fridge at the Brown House).
- Wicked Witch: The Marge the Witch costume.
- Would Hurt a Child: The message shown when obtaining the Marge the Witch costume implies this."I'm here to eat your kids!"
- "Get bent!"
The mischievous eldest child of the Simpson family. Unlocked when the player reaches level 12 and places Bart's Treehouse.
- Abusive Parents: During the Halloween 2013 storyline, Bart has a one time task, Get Strangled at Home, after he mocks Homer in dolphin language.
- Bratty Half-Pint: Some of the things Bart says when the player taps on him will evoke this trope.
- Cool Board: Bart's four-hour task, Skateboard, features one of these.
- Nightmare Fetishist: He's upset when the rebuilt Krustyland is no longer an Amusement Park of Doom, urging Krusty to make it unsafe again as he doesn't want to grow up without any stories to tell about a kid he knew who died at an amusement park.
- Walking Shirtless Scene: The Kamp Bart costume.
- Wild Child: The Kamp Bart costume.
- "Hey, everybody!"
The intelligent middle child of the Simpson family. Unlocked when the player completes the tutorial stage by placing the Simpsons House.
- And Your Reward Is Clothes: In a fashion; in order to obtain the Lisa Sacagawea costume, the player must complete the Thanksgiving 2013 storyline, in which Lisa must stop Springfield from eating turkey on Thanksgiving.
- Bookworm: A lot of Lisa's tasks reflect this, such as Read a Book, Read to Old People, and Do Next Week's Homework.
- Also, the message shown when obtaining the Gymnastic Lisa costume references this too.

- Child Prodigy: Lisa's three-hour task is to Attend Mensa Meeting.
- Friend to All Living Things: During the Whacking Day storyline, one of Lisa's tasks is to Release Snakes from Another Town, which allows the player to lower the number of snakes whacked from a friend's Springfield by claiming them as their own.
- She also kidnaps all the turkeys from the town during the Thanksgiving 2013 storyline, in an attempt to save them from being eaten.
- Meat Versus Veggies: See And Your Reward Is Clothes.
- Mistaken for Racist: Homer's reaction to the Lisa Sacagawea costume.Homer: "A white girl dressing up as a Native American? I don't know, that sounds a little racist to me."
- Pink Means Feminine: The Gymnastic Lisa costume.
- Tag Team: While unnecessary before, her Babysit Rod and Todd task now requires both Rod and Todd Flanders to be available for Lisa to perform this task.
- "And that's how you do it!"
The senile grandfather of the Simpson family and Homer's father. Unlocked when the player reaches level 19 and builds the Retirement Castle.
- False Teeth Tomfoolery: During the Halloween 2013 storyline, whenever Grampa is possessed by a poltergeist, he is shown floating around Springfield with his false teeth just in front of him.
- Good Costume Switch: The Honest Abe costume is the face to the Gorgeous Grampa costume's heel.
- Grumpy Old Man: When being given certain tasks, Grampa may say something that implies this."Ooh, this is better than complaining!"
- I Was Quite the Looker: The Gorgeous Grampa costume.
- Retired Badass: The Gorgeous Grampa and Honest Abe costumes.
- Senior Sleep-Cycle: The animation for when Grampa completes a task has him falling asleep, before waking up in alarm.
- Temporary Online Content: The Gorgeous Grampa costume was only available during a promotional event that coincided with the premier of the Simpsons episode Gorgeous Grampa, and the Honest Abe costume was likewise only available during the "Simpsons Wrestling" event. While the Gorgeous Grampa costume was eventually made available as part of the Yearbook Mystery Box, the Honest Abe costume has not (having been released after the Yearbook Mystery Box was added).
- Walking Shirtless Scene: The Gorgeous Grampa and Honest Abe costumes.
- Ascended Extra: Originally only present during Marge's eight-hour Walk Maggie task before being promoted to playable in the Christmas 2015 event.
- Demoted to Extra: For the first three years of the game she was only present as a cameo.
- Straying Baby: The object of the "Where's Maggie?" minigame is to find her as she wanders around Springfield.
Churchy Joes
- "Let us pray."
Springfield's local reverend. Unlocked when the player reaches level 14 and builds the First Church of Springfield.
- Canine Companion: Lovejoy's one-hour task is to Walk the Dog.
- Cool Train: As shown during the Ride 1.5" Scale Train task.
- Holy Halo: The animation for when Lovejoy completes a task portrays him as having one.
- Preacher Man: Well, he is the reverend, after all.
- Rail Enthusiast: Lovejoy's six-hour task, Ride 1.5" Scale Train, has him riding around Springfield on a train.
A Roman Catholic priest. Unlocked during the Easter 2014 storyline only, as a random prize each time the player received a Golden Egg.
- Badass Preacher: Father Sean's twelve-hour task is to Be Cool on his Motorbike.
- Christianity Is Catholic: Father Sean's attire is complete with the traditional Clerical collar, in contrast to Reverend Lovejoy's pink shirt and blue tie beneath his white robe.
- Temporary Online Content: Was only unlockable in Easter 2014 and the 2014 Yard Sale (the latter of which upgraded him into a premium character), but currently averts it as one of the many Yearbook Mystery Box prizes.
Gossipy wife of Rev. Lovejoy. Unlocked when the player reaches level 50 and builds the Municipal House of Pancakes.
The Lovejoy's rebellious daughter. A premium character that the player can unlock after purchasing the Lovejoy Residence.
Villains
- "Excellent."
Springfield's richest and most powerful citizen who owns and runs the nuclear plant. Unlocked when the player reaches level 11 and builds the Cooling Towers segment of the Nuclear Power Plant.
- Angry Guard Dog: Burns' twelve-hour task is to Walk the Hounds.
- Dark Is Not Evil: The Fruit-Bat-Man costume.
- Fangs Are Evil: The Count Burns costume, in which Burns is portrayed as a vampire.
- Good Costume Switch: The Fruit-Bat-Man and UBO costumes.
- Mean Boss: Burns' task, Fire Random Employee, only takes 45 seconds to complete.
- Money to Throw Away: Ebenezer Burns' day-long task, Money Fight!, shows Burns and Smithers carelessly throwing money at each other.
- Old Superhero: The Fruit-Bat-Man costume.
- Our Vampires Are Different: The Count Burns costume.
- The Scrooge: The Ebenezer Burns costume.
- Tag Team: His Ride the Ferris Wheel and Money Fight! tasks require Smithers to be available.
- Temporary Online Content: The Fruit-Bat-Man costume was only available during a promotional event that coincided with the premier of the Simpsons episode Dark Knight Court. This is not a problem when it comes to the Yearbook Mystery Box, however.
- Vampire Vords: The message shown when obtaining the Count Burns costume features this."No Smithers, I vant to suck your BLOOD!"
Evil genius and owner of Globex Corporation. A premium character that can be unlocked at any time when the player purchases the Volcano Lair.
- Doomsday Device: When the player gives Hank a task that takes place in the Volcano Lair, the building's animation shows a large laser emerging from the side of the volcano.
- Evil Genius: Just in case the Volcano Lair didn't give it away.
- Kill It with Fire: Hank's eight-hour task, Test Flame Thrower.
- "Dude, that's harsh."
Springfield's recurring criminal. Unlocked when the player reaches level 19 and builds the Springfield Penitentiary.
- Hustler: During the level 33 storyline, Snake's Con Money From Old People task is used as part of a life-insurance scam.
- Shouldn't You Stop Stealing?: Some of Snake's tasks include Rob the Kwik-E-Mart, Rob the Krusty Burger, and Con Money From Old People.
- What Could Have Been: Originally, Snake was planned to be a Moving Target Bonus, as suggested by some of the Dummied Out data in the game.
- "America's not a place for seat belt-wearing cowards."
A stereotypical rich and selfish business owner, and a premium character that the player can purchase at any time.
- Cowboy: Of the Rodeo Rider variety, with his twelve-hour task, Ride the Mechanical Bull.
- The Gambler: The Rich Texan has a three hour task, Visit the Track.
- Reckless Gun Usage: The Rich Texan's day-long task, Celebrate, Cowboy Style!
- Non-Standard Character Design: Due to her only major appearance in the show having been in the very first season, when the animation was more loose and cartoonish.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Her 4 hour "Avoid Springfield PD" task has her put on a lampshade and a Charlie Chaplin disguise.
School Workers
- "This is a gross misuse of school property."
The principal of Springfield Elementary. Unlocked when the player reaches level 10 and builds Springfield Elementary.
- All Love Is Unrequited: The level 22 storyline shows Skinner hopelessly trying to impress Ms. Krabappel...in all the wrong ways.
- Intergenerational Friendship: Shown to have one with Bart during certain storylines.
- Mommy Issues: As shown during the level 29 storyline with Agnes.
- Retcon: When the game was originally launched, he wore a dark blue suit and had darker hair, as pictured in this article. The Level 55 update changed this color scheme to be more accurate to the show, with a special dialogue where Skinner tells Agnes he's going to join a gym, which Agnes responds to by telling him to act his age instead of like a teenager, adding, "And, while you're at it, you should look your age, too."
- Shouldn't We Be in School Right Now?: "Shouldn't You Be In School?"
- Tag Team: If the player has the Open Air Stage, Skinner can do either a three-hour task with Homer, Apu, and Barney, or a ten-hour task with Agnes.
- "Ooh, Willie likes that!"
Springfield Elementary's Scottish groundskeeper and janitor. Unlocked when the player reaches level 11 and builds Willie's Shack.
- The Caretaker: Willie's tasks include Rake leaves and Wax the Floors.
- Man in a Kilt: Willie changes into Scottish attire when performing his hour-long task, Play the Bagpipes.
- Redhead In Green: Willie has green overalls and red hair.
- Third-Person Person: Willie frequently refers to himself in third person.
- Violent Glaswegian: The Bare Chested Willie fits this trope.
- Walking Shirtless Scene: The Bare Chested Willie costume.
4th Grade teacher at Springfield Elementary. Unlocked when the player reaches level 22 and builds the Krabappel Apartment.
- Even the Girls Want Her: Patty Bouvier has a one-hour task called Hit on Edna.
- Everybody Smokes: Krabappel has a ten-minute task, Smoke Break.
- Spared by the Adaptation: She was already in the game when Marcia Wallace passed away and The Character Died With Her, and remains a living member of Springfield's community, unlike Maude Flanders, who appears as a ghost.

Springfield Elementary's bus driver. A premium character that the player can unlock after purchasing the School Bus.
- Everybody Smokes: Otto's thirty-minute task, Smoke Break.
- Metal Head: Otto's four-hour task is to Jam on the Guitar.
- "Oh... well in that case, let's do it."
Superintendent of Springfield's school district. Unlocked when the player reaches level 34 and builds Springfield High School.
- Big Word Shout: Chalmers' one-hour task is appropriately named Shout at "SKINNERRRR!"
- Cross Dresser: Chalmers' ten-hour task, Break Character, has Chalmers walking around Springfield wearing a frilly pink ballgown while spinning nunchucks.
- Horrible Camping Trip: Chalmers' day-long task is to Survive Off The Land, which can only be carried out if the player has placed at least one campfire.
- Pimped-Out Dress: See Cross Dresser.
Springfield Elementary's cafeteria chef. Unlocked when the player reaches level 52 and builds the Springfield Slaughterhouse.
- Mystery Meat: Her 8-hour task has her rummaging through a can of mystery meat for the students' lunch.
- "BOMBARDMENT!"
Springfield Elementary's sadistic gym teacher. A premium character that the player can unlock after purchasing the Springfield YMCA.
Civil Servants
- "Someone call 911!"
Springfield's lazy head of police. Unlocked when the player reaches level 17 and builds the Police Station.
- Cross Dresser: See Disguised in Drag.
- Dirty Cop: Wiggum's four-hour task is to Collect Bribes.
- Disguised in Drag: Wiggum's day-long task is to Go on a Stake Out, where he dresses up as a woman.
- Police Are Useless: Proven in a number of different storylines.
- "Vote Quimby, a lot!"
The mayor of Springfield. Unlocked when the player reaches level 20 and builds the Town Hall.
- Big "YES!": "YAY!"
- Corrupt Politician: Quimby's four-hour task is to Collect Bribes.
- Money to Burn: During his day-long task, Embezzle Money, Quimby can be seen walking around Springfield carrying two large sacks of money.
- "I'll knock this thing into yesterday!"
One of the two officers under Wiggum's command. Unlocked when the player reaches level 33 and places the S.W.A.T. Van.
- Black Is Bigger in Bed: Tapping on Lou will sometimes cause him to say this:"Aside from my gun, all that makes me feel like a man are my enormous genitals."
- Token Minority: Lou is one of the few non-Caucasian characters in the game.
- "Eddie likes to hurt people!"
The other of the two officers under Wiggum's command. Unlocked when the player reaches level 33 and places the S.W.A.T. Van.
- Police Brutality: Tapping on Eddie will sometimes cause him to say this:"Let's crack some civilian skulls!"
- You Do Not Have to Say Anything: When the player sets Eddie a task, he will sometimes say this:"I'm using my right to remain silent."
A police dog, and a premium character the player can purchase at any time.
- Living MacGuffin: The K9 Officer has no tasks, and tapping on him will cause him to bark.
- "It's CHOW-dah, say it right!"
Mayor Quimby's obnoxious, entitled nephew. Unlocked when the player reaches level 47 and builds the Quimby Compound.
- Berserk Button: His 4-hour task is "Say Chow-dah".
- Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: More or less his entire storyline in the game revolves around this.
Business Owners
- "Ooh, loneliness and cheeseburgers are a dangerous mix."
Overweight, geeky proprietor of Android's Dungeon. Unlocked when the player reaches level 13 and builds Android's Dungeon.
- Big "NO!": On occasion, when the player taps on him.
- Cosplay: The name of Comic Book Guy's twelve-hour task.
- Genius Slob: Comic Book Guy's three-hour task is to Attend Mensa Meeting.
- May–December Romance: Agnes Skinner has a two-hour task, Go on a Date with Comic Book Guy, which he must be available for her to do. Then it was changed to Get Help Crossing the Street.
- "Ah, geez..."
Proprietor and bartender of Moe's Tavern. Unlocked when the player reaches level 15 and builds Moe's Tavern.
- Chivalrous Pervert: To Marge. The quote, mentioned above, is more commonly heard when starting his twelve-hour task, Spy on Midge.
- The Gambler: Moe's three-hour task is to Visit the Track.
- Sharp-Dressed Man: The Respectable Moe costume.
- Shotguns Are Just Better: Tapping on Moe's Tavern will trigger the sound of a shotgun being cocked.
- Suit Up of Destiny: The Respectable Moe costume.
- Temporary Online Content: The Respectable Moe costume was only available during a promotional event that coincided with the premier of the Simpsons episode "Whiskey Business".
- Watering Down: Moe's day-long task is to Water Down Beer.
- "Ahaha-a!"
Proprietor of Luigi's with an "Italian" accent. Unlocked when the player reaches level 18 and builds Luigi's Restaurant.
- Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Luigi's two-hour task is to Practice Fake Accent.
- "Stop wasting my time!"
Gymnastics instructor with a thick European accent. A premium character the player can unlock at any time after purcashing Lugash's Gym.
- Drill Sergeant Nasty: Lugash's eight-hour task is to Intimidate Children.
- Tame His Anger: Lugash's twelve-hour task is to Attend Anger Management Class.
C-List Celebrities
- "Newsflash, I'm not speaking to you!"
News anchor for Channel 6. Unlocked when the player reaches level 23 and builds Channel 6.
- Delusions of Local Grandeur: As a Mythology Gag to newsreader Brockman's overinflated ego, the game puts him in the C-List group.
- Intrepid Reporter: Brockman's day-long task, Do an Undercover Report, which entails Brockman walking around Springfield wearing a trench coat and hat.
- "Viva la revolucion!"
Star of a Spanish-language TV sitcom. A premium character that the player can purchase at any time.
- Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Bumblebee Man's four-hour task is to Attend Lessones Espanoles.
- Scary Stinging Swarm: Bumblebee Man's thirty-minute task, Ay, Dios No Me Ama!, has him running away from a swarm of bees.
- Token Minority: Bumblebee Man is one of the few non-Caucasian characters.
- "Heyyy!"
Helicopter traffic reporter for Channel 6. A premium character that the player can purchase at any time after reaching level 23.
- Always Second Best: To Brockman.
- Butt-Monkey: As part of his storyline, Brockman orders Arnie to do reports in a manner that Arnie does not appreciate.
- Canine Companion: Arnie's eight-hour task is to Walk Newshound.
- "Oh, no!"
Krusty's current sidekick. A premium character that the player can unlock after purchasing Krustylu Studios.
- Human Cannon Ball: Mel's thirty-minute task is to Blast from the Cannon, and can only be carried out if the player has placed the cannon.
- The Smart Guy: Mel's three-hour task is to Attend Mensa Meeting.
Beauty pageant winner, and lover of Mayor Quimby. She can be unlocked by purchasing the Sleep-Eazy Motel. They were both introduced as part of the Whacking Day event in 2013 and both became permanent premium items after the event.
- Tag Team: Miss Springfield's three-minute task, Enjoy an Evening with the Mayor, requires Quimby.
Krusty's monkey companion. Unlocked when the player obtains enough Friendship Points to reach level 11.
- Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Mr. Teeny wears a hat, bow tie, and rollerskates.
- Ascended Extra: Mr. Teeny only ever appeared in the game when the player would give Krusty his twelve-hour task.
- Everybody Smokes: Mr. Teeny's unlock screen depicts him holding a cigarette.
- The Power of Friendship: It's the only way to obtain Mr. Teeny.
- The Voiceless: Unlike all the other animal characters, Mr. Teeny makes no sound at all when tapped.
Country singer at the Beer-N-Brawl bar. A premium character that the player can unlock after purchasing the Beer-N-Brawl.
B-List Celebrities
- "Get my producer to do it."
The entertaining clown host of his self-titled TV show. Unlocked when the player reaches level 7 and builds the Krusty Burger.
- Corrupt Corporate Executive: Becomes this in the Halloween 2014 Krustylu Studios storyline where he tricks the Space Mutant into helping him make yet another exploitative monster movie that portrays the Mutants as mindless killers.
- Purple Is Powerful: So powerful that he gets his own Amusement Park thrown into the game.
- "Duffman is here, to refill your beer!"
Mascot and spokesman for the Duff Beer company. A premium character the player can unlock after building the Duff Brewery.
- Mascot: For Duff Brewery, of course.
Vampire-dressed host of late night monster movies. A premium character that the player could purchase during the Halloween 2013 and 2014 events.
- Burn the Witch!: Booberella has a twelve-hour task, Burn at the Stake.
- How the Mighty Have Fallen: Booberella's storyline consists of her being dropped by her network for overusing her catchphrase, and resorting to carrying out mundane tasks such as Milk Cletus' Cow and Sell Peanuts From Her Street Car. The latter is what she finally settles for at the end of her storyline.
- Navel-Deep Neckline: She wears a black dress with a v-neckline that plunges to her navel.
- Shout-Out: While Booberella herself is a nod to horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark in the show, her twelve-hour task Burn at the Stake is a reference to the film Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988).
- "Hello, I'm heavyweight champ, Drederick Tatum."
Former boxer residing in Springfield. A premium character that the player can unlock after purchasing the Springfield Coliseum.
- Token Minority: Tatum is one of the few non-Caucasian characters.
- "Stupid paparazzi!"
Austrian-accented, musclebound action movie star. Unlocked when the player reaches level 31 and builds Wolfcastle's Mansion.
- Celebrity Star: An in-universe example.
- Grenade Spam: When Wolfcastle is given a task that takes places at Wolfcastle's Mansion, the building animation shows a series of grenades constantly being thrown out of the main doors, and exploding at the end of the path.
- Hypocritical Humor: Tapping on Wolfcastle will sometimes get him to say, "No autographs!" However, after setting him a task, he will sometimes say, "I would love to sign an autograph for you...in bed."
Oddballs
- "Oh boy!"
Stereotypical redneck with a good-natured personality. Unlocked when the player reaches level 5 and builds Cletus' Farm.
- Farm Boy: The player can grow crops from Cletus' Farm, and earn money and Experience Points.
- Hillbilly Moonshiner: Cletus' day-long task is to Brew Moonshine.

- Express Delivery: Brandine has a ninety-day task, Birth Another Spuckler. This is lampshaded when Lisa questions why it doesn't take nine months, to which Cletus replies that it's due to Brandine swimming near the Nuclear Power Plant.

- My God, What Have I Done?: After making everyone aware of the dialogue boxes, Homer discovers that tapping them makes them disappear, and proceeds to cut Database off every time he tries to say something, causing him to see the flaw in his plan.

- Card-Carrying Villain: He's genuinely surprised that he's not in the "Villains" collection, but rather the "Wise Guys" grouping.
- Disposing of a Body: Tony's twelve-hour task is to Get Rid of a Problem, which shows Tony burying a body bag in front of the Purple House.
- Temporary Online Content: Averted; Fat Tony was first introduced into the game as part of a promotional event that coincided with the Simpsons episode "Penny Wise-Guys", but was permanently added into the game at level 28.

Animals and Pets
The faithful dog of the Simpson family. He was originally introduced during the Christmas 2012 event, and became a premium character after the event ended.

An average, realistic salaryman who accidentally killed himself after being driven mad by the zaniness and stupidity of Springfield, Homer in particular. He is a premium character who can be unlocked once the player reaches level 51, purchases his grave, and does a little digging on it.
- Back from the Dead: Though he claims he was never actually dead, just in a coma. For 18 years.
- Big "WHAT?!": If asked to do certain tasks, he'll respond with a loud "WHAT?!"
- Butt-Monkey: Though in a much less dark fashion than in his debut episode.
- Harmless Electrocution: His 4-hour task, "Electrocute Himself" has Grimes walk around town while electrocuting himself with no debilitating effects.
- Hidden Depths: He's apparently a wine enthusiast, if the Homer vs the 18th Amendment 2018 Event is any indication.
- Lighter and Softer: His debut episode, "Homer's Enemy", is infamous for its dark tone and bitter, cynical ending. While he's still a major Butt-Monkey here, it's considerably more comedic and less mean-spirited.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Downplayed; all that time in the grave caused Grimes to become less of a Jerkass, to the point where he genuinely tries to accept Homer's friendship. However, Homer's stupidity eventually wears on Grimes to the point where he goes back to hating his guts.

Aliens
- "Kill! Destroy!"
One of two aliens from Rigel 7 along with Kang. Unlocked during the Halloween storylines only, after the player purchases a Ray Gun and uses it to shoot down the spaceship.
- Aliens Speaking English: They speak Rigellian, which by coincidence is exactly the same as English.
- Defeat Means Playable: If the player has already unlocked Kang during the Halloween 2013 storyline, or if they already have Kang and purchase a second Ray Gun, Kodos will appear in a spaceship and begin shooting lasers at it. Tapping on the Ray Gun causes a laser to shoot out of it, and if the laser strikes Kodos' spaceship twice, her ship will crash, unlocking her as a character.
- Harmless Villain: Kodos' day-long task is to Act Harmless.
- Twin Switch: Kodos' eight-hour task is to Impersonate Kang.
- "Maybe I'll take a human bride. That'll surprise mom."

- Men Don't Cry: Averted, as Kirk's four-hour task is to Cry Sitting Down in the Shower.
Successful mother of Milhouse and ex-wife of Kirk. A premium character that the player can unlock after purchasing the Cracker Factory.
- Missing Mom: Luann wasn't available until the level 37 patch.
- Purple Is Powerful: Luann is shown wearing purple pants. Luann also runs the Cracker Factory, owns the Fleet-A-Pita restaurants after coercing with Agnes and Mrs. Krabappel, and her tasks include Ride in the MegaGlobe, and Relax in a Jacuzzi Suit.
- Wearing a Flag on Your Head: Dress Up in the Flag, her 16-hour task, is pretty much straight out of the TV episode The Devil Wears Nada.

CEO of Itchy & Scratchy Studios. Unlocked when the player reaches level 42 and builds Itchy & Scratchy Studios.
- Everybody Smokes: Roger's four-hour task is to Relax With a Cigar.
- Mean Boss: Roger's eight-hour task is to Shout at the Animators, and his twelve-hour task is to Shout at the Writers.
- "Hajime!"
A waiter at The Happy Sumo sushi restaurant. A premium character that the player can unlock at any time after purchasing The Happy Sumo restaurant.
- The Food Poisoning Incident: During his storyline, the player has to send Springfield citizens to eat at the Happy Sumo. Upon completion of this quest, the Blue Haired Lawyer implies that everyone got food poisoning.
- Real Men Cook:
- Subverted; Akira runs a sushi restaurant, therefore actual cooking is almost non-existant.
- Subverted in that Akira's two-hour task is to Serve Questionably Prepared Fugu.

Owner of the software company ZiffCorp. Unlocked when the player reaches level 45 and places the ZiffCorp Sign.
- Rags to Riches: Artie's storyline sees him trying to rebuild his company from scratch, which includes scamming the Springfield citizens out of their own money.
- Tag Team: Artie's day-long task is to Propose to Marge, which sees Artie humorously chasing Marge around Springfield.
- "That concludes this portion of our treatment."
A psychiatrist specializing in family therapy. Unlocked when the player reaches level 51 and builds the Monroe Family Therapy Center.
- Mythology Gag: One of the premium items unlocked in his update is his gravestone, poking fun at the fact that the show heavily implied he died around season 7, only to have him revealed to be Not Quite Dead in season 15.
- Only Sane Man: He's the only one who realizes that dying horribly in a nuclear blast and being resurrected by an all powerful "Sky Finger" may have had some negative effects on the psyches of Springfield's citizens, and is rather disappointed when it turns out there actually weren't.
Homer's half brother. Was formerly the head of a hugely successful car dealership until Homer unwittingly destroyed the company, he is currently a successful business man and inventor. A premium character unlocked when the player reaches level 55 and purchases Powell Motors.
- Berserk Button: While he's (more or less) made peace with Homer, the Homer Car still remains a very touchy subject for him.
- Child Hater: One of her tasks is to fend off children.
Holiday 2013
Chairman of Costington's department store. Unlocked during the Christmas 2013 storyline only, after the player has collected the required amount of Gift Cards to build Costington's.
- Mean Boss: Costington's four-hour task is to Intimidate Employees.
- The Scrooge: During his storyline, Costington has a temporary four-hour task called Ruin Christmas.
A candy cane mascot. A premium character the player could only unlock during the Christmas storylines.
- Happy Dance: Tapping on Candy Kevin will cause him to dance on the spot.
A yeti with janitorial skills. A character that the player could only unlock during the Christmas 2013 storyline through the Spinning Wheel mini-game.

- Neat Freak: Tapping on the Snow Monster causes him to grab a broom and start sweeping for a short moment.

Springfield's most prominent lawyer, and a premium character that the player can purchase at any time.
- Amoral Attorney: During his storyline, the Blue Haired Lawyer tries to help Homer win compensation by advising him to fake a number of accidents at different locations, such as Moe's and the Kwik-E-Mart.
- Frivolous Lawsuit: After Homer completes the first task of his storyline, the Blue Haired Lawyer tries to place one of these on Apu due to Homer suffering from a brain-freeze.
Apu's Family

Indian operator of the Kwik-E-Mart. Unlocked when the player reaches level 3 and builds the Kwik-E-Mart.

- Frivolous Lawsuit: Becomes the subject of one during his storyline after accepting Homer as his agent, when Disney sue him for copyright infringement on the grounds of them making an movie based on the Easter Bunny, and also because in said movie, the Easter Bunny hugged someone.

- Shout-Out: An obvious one to cartoon character Bugs Bunny.

- Dead Person Conversation: With Maude Flanders, when the player gives Maude the Chat With Ned task, assuming that Ned isn't already busy with another task.
- Everyone Is Christian at Christmas: As part of Santa Flanders' storyline, Ned tries to force the citizens of Springfield to convert to Christianity, despite being dressed as Santa Claus.
- Evil Costume Switch: The Devil Flanders costume.
- Fauns and Satyrs: The Devil Flanders costume depicts him as being half-human, half-goat.
- Holiday Volunteering: Santa Flanders' hour-long task is to Serve the Poor.
- No Shirt, Long Jacket: The Devil Flanders costume has him wearing a long red jacket.
- Preacher Man: Mostly when the player sets him the Condemn Science and Emergency Bible Studies tasks.

The head of the Stonecutters. Unlocked when the player builds the Stonecutter Lodge during the Stonecutters event.
A Martian that the Stonecutters keep under wraps. A premium character that the player could purchase only during the Stonecutters event.
4th of July
A US Treasury officer. Unlocked during the 4th July storylines, when the player builds the Nighthawk Diner.
- Failed a Spot Check: During his storyline, Rex believes Homer's lie that Ned Flanders is the one smuggling fireworks into Springfield, distracting him long enough for the rest of the townsfolk to buy them.
- Tag Team: Rex's eight-hour task is to Interrogate Flanders, which of course requires Ned to be available.
The 16th president of the United States. A premium character that the player can only unlock during the 4th July storylines, after purchasing Lincoln's Cabin.
- Our Time Travel Is Different: Of the wormhole variety; according to Professor Frink, this is caused by the player cashing in on too much premium content.
- Screw Destiny: Abraham refuses to return to his own time period, deciding instead to remain in Springfield.
An Italian retired fireworks pyrotechnic. Unlocked only during the July 4th 2014 event, when the player builds Giuseppe's Workshop.
The first president of the United States. A premium character that the player can only unlock during the 4th July storylines, after purchasing the Ye Olde Cherry Tree.
- You'll pay!
The 37th President of the United States, famous for opening trade between the US and China, and infamous for his involvement in the Watergate Scandal. A premium character only available during the 4th of July 2015 event when the player purchases the Scandalgate Hotel.
- Alternate History: His storyline involves him claiming that the Watergate Scandal was in fact an elaborate scheme by communists to discredit him. Needless to say, Lisa doesn't buy it.
- Multiple-Choice Past: According to him, he grew up in a hippy commune on the slopes of Mount Everest. Lisa takes this with more than a grain of salt.
- President Evil: Treated as such by the townspeople. Quimby refers to him as "Vile Sachem", and Abraham Lincoln and George Washington are particularly cruel.
- The Rival: Immediately becomes this to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln if you have them.
- Third-Person Person: Always talks like this, and even tries to teach Quimby how to do it in order to make him seem more respectable as a politician.
Helpful Guest Stars
Manga artist who came to Springfield. Unlocked as part of a promotional event for the Simpsons episode Married to the Blob, as well as part of a premium bundle in the "Destination Springfield" event.
- Bribing Your Way to Victory: Players who don't already have her during the "Destination Springfield" event will have to pay 175 donuts for the bundle that includes her and her new Sailor Kumiko costume.

A bloodthirsty warrior. Unlocked at the start of the Clash of Clones event.
- Affectionate Parody: For starters, he comes from a game called Clash of Castles...
- Big Eater: He can Feast Until his Belly Becomes Bloated for his 8-hour task.
- Prince and Pauper: The main storyline of the event involved Homer and the Barbarian trading roles.
- Proud Warrior Race Guy: Drinks out of his enemies' skulls? Check. Has nightmares about peace (as his 4-hour task)? Check. Solves problems by swinging his axe at them? Well, you get the idea.

- Unstoppable Rage: His 24-hour task, Rampage! Turns out he doesn't do it when angry, but rather when he's hungry.
Bart's conjoined twin. Unlocked during the Treehouse of Horror XXV event, when the player crafts him in the Make-A-Thing Workshop.
- Butt-Monkey: His entire quest chain is basically being insulted and humiliated by his family until he has enough and moves into the Spooky House.
- Creepy Child: Even though he is more or less a good kid, he does have a rather suspect obsession with fish heads and taxidermy. His Pigeon-Rat is a good example of this.
- Evil Twin: Except not really, as the twist of his premier episode was that he was the good twin, not Bart.
- Only Sane Man: The fact that the Creepy Child with an unhealthy fixation on taxidermy and sewing is comparatively the most level headed of the Simpsons really says something.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: He was allowed to eat Thanksgiving Dinner with the Simpsons and the Flanders during Thanksgiving 2014, and he was later able to participate in several Christmas activities during the Holiday 2014 event.

Neglected daughter of Rainier Wolfcastle. A premium character that the player can unlock after purchasing the Preparatory School.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: She's considerably colder towards Bart here in contrast to how amicable their breakup was in the show. This may be because she's tired of Bart's constant flirting throughout her quest chain, however.
- Adaptational Villainy: She goes from a lonely, troubled Loving Bully to Bart in the episode in which she appears to a manipulator who rekindles her relationship with Bart as an opportunity to rob his family after they let her stay at their house.
- Enfant Terrible: Thought Maggie shooting Mr. Burns was bad? Gerald was the one who blew up Springfield.
- The Dividual: Treated as one character.
Winter 2014
Jolly ol' St. Nick himself. Appeared during the Christmas 2014 event.
- Drowning My Sorrows: Once Russ Cargil's feds start abducting his elves, he abandons his job, passes the torch to the Simpsons, and spends the rest of part 1 of the event getting wasted at Moe's.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Upon the start of part 2 when the elves have started partying all over Springfield, Santa was asked for help. He responds by jumping ship.
- Voice Grunting: Not even a "ho ho ho".
Santa's workforce who created presents during the Christmas season. After Christmas Day, they became obnoxious partygoers that had to be forcefully deported.
An icy monarch who feasts on children. A premium character that the player can only unlock during the Christmas 2014 event, after purchasing King Winter's Cave.
A robot Santa. Unlocked during the Christmas 2014 storyline only, after the player collected the required amount of elf bells.

Superheroes
Radioactive Man's plucky kid sidekick. Unlocked when the player builds the Superior Squad HQ during the Superheroes event.

- Expy: Of Robin from the Adam West Batman live action show, right down to Mad Libs Catchphrase.
- Mad Libs Catchphrase: "Billowing Backpacks!"
- Took a Level in Badass: In the Superhero event's finale, he's the one who figures out how to defeat the Radioactive Man Monument and even delivers the final blow.
Homer's pet pig. A premium character that the player can only unlock during the Superheroes event, after purchasing the Crap Silo.
Radioactive Man

Springfield's most popular atomic superhero. Unlocked by completing the Superheroes event's main storyline by defeating the Radioactive Man Monument five times.
- Back from the Dead: Is killed at the very beginning of the event, comes back at the very end.
Supervillains
Lawbreakers that looted Springfield during the event. Tapping on criminals rewarded the player with inanimate carbon rods, pie bombs, and freeze rays. Felons were tougher criminals that required superheroes to battle them, but they rewarded greater numbers of rods, bombs, and rays upon being defeated.
- "Ahahaha! AHAHAHA! AHAHA-OW!!"
A self-styled Mad Scientist and Radioactive Man's archenemy. Unlocked when the player finishes Issue 2 of the Superheroes event.
- Bad Boss: His 12 hour task is Punish Minions.
- Evil Laugh: It's even his 4 hour task!
- Freeze Ray: The favored weapon of his minions.
- Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Homer even calls him out on this.
- The Man Behind the Man: He's the one who created the mind control ray and the trap that killed Radioactive Man.
- The Rival: To Hank Scorpio.
- Too Dumb to Live: He is completely oblivious to the Collider being a mole, despite the latter making little attempt to hide it.
- "I turn out to be a good guy!"
A cyborg who acts like Dr Colossus' dragon, but is in fact a double agent for the Superior Squad. Unlocked when the player completes Issue 3 of the Superheroes event.
- Captain Obvious: Both of his quotes have him loudly describing himself and what will happen to him.
- Disney Death: His 8 hour task is to Die and Come Back in the Credits.
- Right-Hand Cat: Mr. Boson.
The Fossil Fuel Four
Villain of Radioactive Man and member of the Fossil Fuel Four. A premium character that the player can only unlock during the Superheroes event, after purchasing the Springfield Tar Pits.
- Playing with Fire: Shoots fire from her head.
- The Smurfette Principle: Not only the only female in the Fossil Fuel Four, but the only villainess in the entire game.
Terwilligers
Krusty's former sidekick, now a criminal mastermind and Bart's nemesis. He occasionally appears in a Springfield (yours or someone else's), running around and hiding. Tapping him will apprehend him, rewarding you with money and experience. Becomes an unlockable character in the Terwilligers event once the player constructs the Opera House during Act 2.
- Reformed, but Rejected: In the "Flaw and Order" questline, he realizes that rematerializing in New Springfield has caused him to lose his grudge against Bart, and he gets a job teaching at Springfield Elementary. As always, he's Easily Forgiven for his past crimes by everyone but Bart, whose efforts to prove that Bob still wants to kill him wind up making it true again.
- Man of Wealth and Taste: His six hour task is to perform in the Opera.
Sideshow Bob's younger brother. Formerly a con artist who attempted to swindle Springfield with a faulty dam, he now claims to be reformed but is unwittingly roped into his brother's latest scheme due to his connections to Monsarno. Unlocked at the beginning of the Terwilligers event.
- Gone Horribly Wrong: His attempts to bring "safe" GMO's to Springfield result in, among other things, mutant plants and Sideshow Bob clones.
- Token Good Team Mate: Debatable. While he himself seems sincere about his intent to reform, he is shown to be blissfully unaware of Monsarno's corruption and how Bob is pulling the strings.
- Unwitting Pawn: Has no idea that everything he does throughout the event is secretly helping his brother's schemes.
Sideshow Bob and Cecil's mother, and retired Shakespearean actress. Unlocked once the player completes the prize track of Act 3 of the Terwilligers event.
- Unholy Matrimony: Her quest involves her getting together with Burns. They break up once Burns gets fed up with her obession with murdering Bart.
- Ye Olde Butchered English: How she talks.
Sideshow Bob's Italian wife. A premium character that the player can only unlock during the Terwilligers event, after purchasing the Italian Villa.
Toddler son of Sideshow Bob and Francesca. A premium character that the player can only unlock during the Terwilligers event, after purchasing the It's A Wonderful Knife store.
Sideshow Bob and Cecil's father. Like his sons, he is a criminal mastermind who specializes in mad science and dangerous medications. Unlocked once the player completes the prize track of Act 2 of the Terwilligers event.
- Mad Scientist: His quest first involves tricking Homer into unknowingly testing his latest "medicinal" concoctions.
- Man of Wealth and Taste: Like his son, he has has a six hour task at the Opera House.
Even More Kids
A sick looking child from Bart's grade in Springfield Elementary School. A premium character that the player unlocks after purchasing Zip Zap and 'Za.
A boy from fifth grade in Springfield's Elementary School and Bart's former friend. He is unlocked as a premiun character after the placement of the Dodgeball Court.
Snake's Jailbird son. A premium character that the player unlocks after purchasing Juvenile Correction Facility.
Lisa's friend and former rival due to her intelligence and sax playing skills. A premiun character that the player can unlock after purchasing Taylor's House.
- Easily Forgiven: During Allison's questline, Lisa was extremely unlikeable to her, constantly insulting her skills and making her feel sad. After Allison won the talent contest, she invites Lisa to play saxophone together despite Lisa's condescending behavior to her.
