Jack Skellington
Voiced by: Chris Sarandon, Danny Elfman
Sad over the cancellation of the Halloween special, Jack sets out to conquer the Christmas special by any means necessary.
- Adaptational Villainy: In the film he heralds from, he was the main protagonist. Here, he's the Big Bad until he pulls a Heel Realization.
- Affably Evil: He's not quite malicious enough to not qualify as this.
- Badass Bookworm: He resorts to using a book called "The Olden Guide to Conquering Christmas" to summon the Hiver.
- Badass in a Nice Suit
- Bad Boss: Shown by how he belittles the Mayor and later has him imprisoned along with the other denizens of Halloween Town.
- Big Bad: He drives to conquer the Christmas special and is willing to kill the heroes to make it happen.
- Disney Acid Sequence: Brings one upon himself after making crack.
- Evil Is Not a Toy: Santa reveals to him almost too late that Black Hiver will not stop after conquering Christmas.
- Heel Realization: Just in the nick of time, too.
- I Just Want to Be Loved: The reason why he wants to take over Christmas is because his Halloween specials keep getting cancelled in favor of the former.
- Jerkass: As pointed out by several characters.
- Kick the Dog: His treatment of the Mayor stands out, among many, many other examples.
- The Kindnapper: As in the film, sees kidnapping Santa as doing him a favor.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Has a hilariously bad one when masquerading as Santa to SpongeBob and his friends.
- Slasher Smile: Has a few throughout, notably when he decides to conquer the Christmas special, and when discovering the Hiver.
- Unwitting Pawn: It's eventually revealed that Black Hiver was just using him for its own ends.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: All he really wants is to get him and his friends the holiday special they've worked so hard for after they have repeatedly been denied one over the years.
Black Hiver (unmarked spoilers)
Voiced by: Alistair McGowan
to see Black Hiver
The true main antagonist of the special; a murderous demon determined to conquer all of reality itself.
- Deadly Gaze: He can use his eyes to suck out the soul from his victims, then reforge them into a minion.
- Dragon-in-Chief: At first it seems he's just a henchman hired by Jack, until Santa makes it clear he's far greater a threat than it seemed at first.
- Eldritch Abomination: In both of his forms. Though mixed with Animalistic Abomination a bit thanks to his bunny head.
- Evil Laugh: An incredibly chilling one.
- Hair-Raising Hare: First appears to Jack in the form of an anthropomorphic rabbit, and still has a rabbit head in its more demonic form.
- Hero Killer: He's behind the death of every single protagonist bar Jack.
- Killed Off for Real: We certainly hope so.
- Knight of Cerebus: The poop starts out as funny as any other poop, with only occasional hints of what's to come. When he's finally unleashed upon the heroes, the special gets dark.
- Leitmotif: "Holiday Trash Hill", the theme from the first stage of the final fight with Oogie in Oogie's Revenge.
- The Man Behind the Man: To Jack.
- Mix-and-Match Critters: Shows traits of a rabbit and an arachnid in his main form.
- Noodle Incident: He mentions that the past must be "paid for" when professing his desire to conquer both Christmas and Halloween.
- Original Generation: Other than taking visual cues from Bugs Bunny, he is an entirely original character made for the special.
- Spiders Are Scary: It has some elements of a spider in its main form.
- Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: Played shockingly seriously for a YouTube Poop villain.
- Your Soul Is Mine!: He collects the souls of his victims in his belly, though they rebel against him in the climax and give Jack enough time to kill him.
Patrick Star
Voiced by: Bill Fagerbakke
SpongeBob's best friend who isn't too bright.
- Eaten Alive: Well, not exactly alive...
- Gory Discretion Shot: Gets stabbed in his nether regions during the musical number, and we only hear his scream afterwards.
- The Lancer: To SpongeBob.
- The Load: He's one of the few members of the group with no powers or weapons, and as a result makes no effort to fight the Hiver.
- Misfit Mobilization Moment: Post-mortem, he leads the other disembodied souls in stalling the Hiver long enough for Jack to defeat it.
- Too Dumb to Live: His lack of intelligence does him little good once the Hiver comes into play.

Patchy the Pirate

- Elite Mook: To the Hiver.
- Humanoid Abomination: What he quickly reveals himself to be.
- I'm a Humanitarian: Tries to eat Patrick, Ed, and Fluttershy, though he only gets to eat Patrick after he's fallen to his death.

The Mayor of Halloween Town
Voiced by: Glenn Shadix
- Butt-Monkey: He gives Squidward a run for his money.

However, the next look at Halloween Town shows that the Mayor is still alive, trying to convince Jack to not take over Christmas.
Santa Claus
Voiced by: Ed Ivory
- Butt-Monkey: Not as much as the Mayor or Chris, but it's there.
- Cassandra Truth: He tries to warn Jack about the Hiver, but Jack doesn't listen.
- Defeat Means Friendship: As in the film he hails from, he becomes a friend to Jack once Christmas is saved. Unlike the film, however...
- Gainax Ending: While the main plot is tied up and ended, apparently he's a flying walrus who takes Jack to fly around in the air with him once the day is saved. Totally makes sense.
