The Main Character

    Renya

Renya Kagurazaka

Voiced by: Satoshi Hino (Japanese), Sam Riegel (English)

An Ordinary High-School Student who sulks about the fact he has never won a single lottery, until he does win one that grants him the position of God in Celestia.

  • Berserk Button: He will guide his believer's fate to a revolution. Stopping him is not an option. Also, do not hurt Minamo or make her sad.
  • Big Brother Instinct: In Lesson 3, Lilliel has noted that part of the reason he's so determined to grant Eleanor's wish is because she reminds him of Minamo and feels compelled as an older brother to help her. The instinct comes out in full force in Lesson 6 when Minamo's future self becomes the Lesson's believer.
  • Born Unlucky: The entire game starts with him talking about how unlucky he is and his ascension to God can only mean his luck became worse, ironically.
  • Can't Stay Normal: He finds his normal life, while uneventful and boring, rather relaxing and gets a little annoyed when he has to be pulled out of it.
  • Catchphrase/Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: "I will guide your fate to a revolution."
  • Deadly Upgrade: Though he's fine for most of the game, toward the end of the game, the cost of his God powers becomes more clear. His body is unable to contain his growing power, leading to headaches and even passing out for three days. To combat this, Mysiel deletes his memories one by one. By the end, the only thing he can remember outside of his mission to defeat Satanael is Lilliel, and that's only because he tried to keep it from being deleted. And even that couldn't stop him from dying after defeating Satanael. Luckily, when Lilliel sacrificed all of her angel powers to revive him, he regained most of his memories in the process.
  • Deity of Human Origin: Became God after winning a lottery.
  • The Determinator: Once confronted with a problem, no matter how impossible it may be, he will make sure his believer's fate is guided to a happy ending.
  • Establishing Character Moment: For most of Lesson 1, he seems to be exactly the same kind of loveable loser as the Main Character from ZHP... then the Prince fails to reassure Cinderella when she needs it most, and Renya hits him with a charging uppercut powerful enough that the prince is launched into the air before chewing him out and deciding to make sure things end happily no matter what.
  • Expy: Since this is a invokedSpiritual Successor to Zettai Hero Project, there are similarities with Renya and the Main Character. Both are losers, a single event changes their lives (for the worst), get the word "temp" added to their titles, and they obtain important roles that they can barely handle without outside help. Also, when they really get going, it's impossible for anyone to put them down.
  • The Fettered: Once he starts carrying out his believer's prayer, he will make sure that he leads everything to a happy ending. Any attempt to dissuade him from this is sure to piss him off, Lesson 4 being a prime example. His believer defeats the villain and his princess is safe, but he tells her to run to safety while he returns to the battlefield, with his death being a possibility, which Renya can't accept despite the Fate Revolution Circuit declaring that the wish has been answered.
  • A God I Am Not: After Lesson 7, he tells the angels that he's no god and he takes the revelation pretty well.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite looking like your average student, he is shown to be capable of making rational and logical deductions on more than a few occasions.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: While he will do anything to guide his believer's fate, ultimately, he wants to return to his normal life. Even more so after Lesson 7, when the possibility of him dying becomes real and doesn't want his Minamo to experience the loneliness of her Bad Future self.
  • Ordinary High-School Student: Even after becoming God, he notes how he still looks like a stereotypical high school student among the oddly-dressed angels and creatures.
  • Physical God: He's an Ordinary High-School Student that happened to win godhood from a lottery.
  • Super Mode: His God-Mode.
  • Took a Level in Badass: The Fate Revolution Circuit pretty much was built so that God can become more and more badass, and it really shows. In Lesson 7, Renya and Lilliel get ambushed by a pack of aberrations and Renya single-handedly takes out all of them with ease. Not bad for an Ordinary High-School Student.
  • Unlucky Everydude: Subverted. When Renya complained about his luck, he means it in the statistical sense, as the opening narration points out. Otherwise, he has a stable life and proves to be a capable individual.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: He's never fought before the events of the game. He also, at minimum, is strong enough to destroy a boulder with his bare hands. His fighting abilities improve as the game goes on, however, becoming more of a plain old Strong and Skilled Lightning Bruiser.
  • Theme Music Power-Up: The game's main theme, God and the Illusory Garden, which plays every time he enters God Mode.

Angels

    As a group
  • Adventure Duo: Each of the first seven Lessons involves Renya being paired up with an angel, but in gameplay you're free to stick with any of them past their debut Lesson.
  • Angelic Beauty: The angels are either beautiful maids or beautiful butlers.
  • Battle Butler: Galtion and Rakiel present themselves as servants of God, and either can fight alongside Renya.
  • Cryptic Conversation: They engage in this pretty much every time Renya and Lilliel are out.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Their actions range into this at times, Lanael and Cheriel especially; Lanael being batshit insane and Cheriel being a former devil, both are rather unnerving in their own right. All around, none of the angels barring Lilliel and Kuroiel have much issue with the basic idea of what they've done to this poor kid: they yanked him off the street and forced him to be their general in their personal feud with the demons under pain of being eaten alive. Renya calls them out on this, especially after he hears of his many failed predecessors.
  • Naïve Newcomer: Both Lilliel and Kuroiel are the newest additions to Celestia, and neither of them were truly aware of the many Gods who have been forced into the angel-devil war and died. This is also why Renya is not angry at either of them.
  • Ninja Maid: The female angels present themselves as servants of God, and any of them can fight alongside Renya.
  • Our Angels Are Different: Male angels dress like butlers/earls while female angels dress like maids. They do have wings and halos.
  • Sesquipedalian Smith: All the angels, with the exception Galtion, has their name end in "-el"note , which is typical angel Theme Naming. However, they all surprisingly have last names, which Renya lampshades, and said last names are Japanese.
  • Theme Naming: All of their names end in "-el", except for Galtion's name.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: The angels are well aware that they were selfish in forcing humans into the war to defeat Satanael, but it's either that or complete annihilation of the angels, with humans potentially being next. None of them are expecting any forgiveness for their actions.

    Lilliel

Lilliel Saotome, the Exclusive Angel

Voiced by: Nico Yazawa (Sora Tokui) (Japanese), Michele Knotz (English)

The first angel Renya met during his lottery drawing. She kidnaps him and brings him to Celestia to take him to his new job as God.

  • Battle Couple: She and Renya grow into one over the course of the story.
  • Brought Down to Normal: When Renya is on the verge of death in the ending, she revives Renya, but at the cost of her angel powers and thus becomes unable to return to Celestia.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: Forget being unable to spit it out: she has trouble acknowledging that she has feelings for Renya.
  • The Ditz: Her explanations are somewhat vague at times, especially the fact she doesn't know how Renya will get consumed if he quits his job.
  • Exposition Fairy: Being Renya's personal angel, she's the one explaining everything to him.
  • Heroic BSoD: After hearing that angels were created from black wing demons and the fact that angels and demons are just names attached to them, she goes through this throughout Chapter 8. Just to compound it, players can't use her at this point (although players are still able to edit her stats at the Divinigram).
  • Lethal Chef: According to one of the angel servants, she once confused black powder for pepper. It doesn't get any more lethal than that.
  • Naïve Newcomer: She's the newest angel in Celestia. Because of her lack of experience, she often consults her handy dandy manual when something odd happens, and most of the time said manual offers no help.
  • Really 700 Years Old: In the ending, she tells Renya that she's 1,609 years old. (In the Nippon Ichi multiverse, she's basically 16 in "angel years".)
  • Relationship Upgrade: Implied. In the ending, she becomes Renya and Minamo's "transfer student" housemate after accepting Renya's indirect Love Confession.
  • Survivor Guilt: She was sent away from the part of Celestia she was previously residing in when Satanael attacked. It's why she was so determined to find and help the new God. Upon hearing that her future self died at the hands of Frunetti, she feels a little relieved that she stood her ground and didn't run away.

    Rakiel

Rakiel Ijuin, the Handsome Angel

Voiced by: Noriaki Sugiyama (Japanese)

One of the angels who supports God as he guides fates. He apparently doubts Renya's abilities as God, giving him the most prickly attitude of the angels. He is harder on himself than anyone else. Everyone secretly believes he is a beautiful man.

  • Broken Ace: According to Kuroiel, Cheriel said that Rakiel's battle skills are the highest among the seven of them. He's also pained that none of Renya's predecessors ever reached Satanael.
  • But Now I Must Go: In the ending, he leaves to assist any angel who's suffering, feeling that he should not waste Renya and Lilliel's apparent sacrifices (unaware that they're still alive on Earth).
  • Dub Name Change: Originally named Rekiel.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Towards Renya for becoming God.
  • Informed Attractiveness: That bit above is from his character blurb in the manual. Even Renya notes he's very handsome.
  • Jerkass: He may be bitter over the Lottery Machine of Destiny choosing Renya and has a Freudian Excuse for it, but he could be a little nicer to his new God.
  • The Lost Lenore: Prior to Renya, a girl was chosen to be God, whom Rakiel loved. She sadly failed her duties and was ultimately consumed.
  • Revenge Before Reason: He secretly wants to avenge all the fallen Gods, including his lover, by killing Renya, taking his Godhood, and striking down Satanael himself. He finally gives up on it after Renya defeats him and Kuroiel confronts him about his reluctance to accept Renya.

    Kuroiel

Kuroiel Ryuzaki, the Spirited Angel

Voiced by: Honoka Kosaka (Emi Nitta) (Japanese), Ashly Burch (English)

One of the angels who supports God as he guides fates. Has a bright, nurturing personality that helps her to give the other angels a pleasant home to return to. She is an amazing cook, and her special tea blends are in high demands amongst the other angels.

  • Action Girl: She beats up a motorcycle gang all by herself on her way to picking up Renya.
  • Can't Catch Up: Despite the above, she laments that her potential power is nowhere near the level of the other angels, making her feel useless outside of her cooking.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Take out the -el, and her name translates to black. She's still a good girl through and through.
  • The Heart: Renya tells her that the other angels would not have been able to get along as well as they have without her efforts.
  • Hopeless Suitor: She falls for Renya after he tells her that she's The Heart of the seven angels serving him, but he and Lilliel vanish from Celestia in the ending. She thinks they died, unaware that they're on Earth and have become a couple living in his and Minamo's house.
  • The Load: She feels that her cooking is the only thing she's good at, especially compared to Rakiel's battle skills. Renya convinces her otherwise.
  • Supreme Chef: Easily the best one in Celestia. Even Lanael, who she is at odds with, will not pass up on her tea and cooking.

    Lanael

Lanael Shiratori, the Deluded Angel

Voiced by: Eli Ayase (Yoshino Nanjo) (Japanese)

One of the angels who supports God as he guides fates. Her youthful, adorable appearance does not match her sharp tongue at all, giving her a unique presence. Her second names change daily, and it is said that she has 1,000 of them. Rumors are she has a real second name, but nobody knows what it is.

  • Deadpan Snarker: Has a very sharp tongue.
  • Hidden Eyes/Red Eyes, Take Warning/Slasher Smile: If she's feeling particularly mischievous, all three tropes will come out in creepy fashion.
  • Jerkass: Can come off as this, especially to Kuroiel and Renya.
  • Karma Houdini: "Well-intentioned" or not, she barely gets a What the Hell, Hero? when she's found out by the other angels due to the urgency of the situation. Heck, had Renya not changed his fate by beating Varael, her actions would have led to the Bad Future.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Supposedly, according to one of the angel servants, the Shrinking Violet act was Lanael's original personality, with the many setbacks the angels faced turning her into what she is today.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Leaning a little too much towards extremist, but she has been aiding the devil's infiltration of the Fate Revolution Circuit to hasten Renya's development. Ultimately, she wants to know if she should remain an angel and follow Renya or switch over to the devil's side and consider Satanael as God. Despite all that, she's still hedging her bets on Renya.

    Cheriel

Cheriel Ayanokoji, the Impish Angel

Voiced by: Nozomi Tojo (Aina Kusuda) (Japanese), Karen Strassman (English)

One of the angels who supports God as he guides fates. A mischievous woman who causes a scene by using her dynamite bod and sexual humor whenever possible. Sometimes what she says causes people to shiver out of awkwardness. She is actually quite powerful and is highly respected. Formerly a Demon.

  • Ascended Demon: She was originally a demon before becoming an angel.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: They're, as Renya puts it, "Old Testament" huge. However, they're not as huge as Frunetti's, which she's clearly jealous of.
  • Cool Big Sis: To most of the characters, but especially towards Lanael.
  • The Hedonist: Her reason for switching sides? She thought it would be more fun to side with the angels than the demons.
  • Ms. Fanservice: With a rack that's "Old Testament" huge, a tight-fitting maid outfit to accentuate her curves, and flirty dialogue, what else can she be?

    Galtion

Galtion Himekawa, the Regal Angel

Voiced by: Akihito Kimura (Japanese)

One of the angels who supports God as he guides fates. Acts as a mediator for the angels with his gentlemanly manners. He shows more respect for Renya than anyone. Similarly, he is well-respected by the other angels. His beard is just fantastic.

  • Appeal to Flattery: By the end of episode 6, this is what Renya feels all of Galtion's compliments really are. He even says that they feel so rehearsed.
  • The Last Of These Is Not Like The Others: Regarding the fact his name doesn't end in "-el".
  • The Lost Lenore: Mysiel sacrificed her life to create the Fate Revolution Circuit and Galtion has been doing everything to see her again. It's more than implied he really cares more about seeing Mysiel again than about making Renya strong enough to defeat Satanael. At least, until Neliel slaps it out of him.
  • The Stoic: Very soft-spoken and composed, which Renya takes a liking to. It's also why he's surprised Galtion would choose a zombie's prayer of all things.

    Neliel

Neliel Tojo, the Shut-in Angel

Voiced by: Hanayo Koizumi (Yurika Kubo) (Japanese)

One of the angels who supports God as he guides fates. Always shut up inside her room, making her rather mysterious as she is rarely seen in person. She only lets certain people into her room. She is very good with machines.

    Mysiel

Mysiel the Clever Angel

Voiced by: Yui Itsuki (Japanese)

The angel who now exists solely as data. She is very frank and thinks about things logically. She had a brilliant idea one day, and to make it real, she created the Fate Revolution Circuit all by herself. But it required her to sacrifice her body and soul... It appears she and Galtion were once lovers. She is the believer of Lesson 8, and her wish is for a certain angel to get a good slap in the face.

  • Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Mysiel's wish in Lesson 8 is for Galtion to get a hard slap to the face for being unable to let go of her. Ultimately, it's Neliel who delivers it.
  • Secret Character: She's unlocked as an ally after starting New Game Plus.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: She created the Fate Revolution Circuit, knowing full well that she will be dragging innocents into a war and forcing them through many difficult situations. However, she felt this was the only way Satanael could be stopped.

Devils

    Satanael

Satanael Kyogoku

Voiced by: Takuo Kawamura (Japanese)

Demon with immense power who holds an empty heart. Slaughters angels as a means to kill time. Almost pure evil, once he decides something is a bother, he will kill without question, even if it were a demon. However, he does not do any unnecessary killing.

  • Affably Evil: As mentioned above, he doesn't do any unnecessary killing. He is able to hold a normal conversation with Fio in Lesson 9 and at no point does he express the desire to harm her or the librarians in Lesson 5, though he does get rather annoyed at the librarians. He also wishes Varael and Frunetti would treat him more as an ally than a commander.
  • Big Bad/The Dreaded: Entire parts of Celestia fell to his feet before the game starts and uttering his name is enough to instill either fear or hatred amongst the angels. The focus of the game is to become strong enough to fight on the same level as him.
  • Dub Name Change: His original Japanese name was Satanadia.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: When facing Renya, he admits what drives him is beyond his understanding.
  • Friendly Enemy: He's as polite to Renya as he is to his allies.
  • Graceful Loser: Even as he's dying, he's as polite as ever.
  • Gone Horribly Right: The Creator considers him his ultimate creation, a creation that basically threatens the entire existence of the angels and potentially humans, and even he says that he can't beat him.
  • Lack of Empathy: Though he does not do any unnecessary killing, he will do so without a shred of regret and will consider it as nothing more than a way to kill time. This is because he was created this way. The Creator felt that purity comes from emptiness.
  • Meaningful Name: Appropriate for the Big Bad to be named for two of the most iconic demons in mythology, Satan and Samael.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Kind of expected when you have Satan and Samael in your name.
  • One-Winged Angel: Turns into a typical-looking devil before the Final Boss fight with him.
  • Wicked Cultured: Aside from being nicely dressed like the rest of the cast, he enjoys reading and carries himself with an air of sophistication.
  • Villains Out Shopping: Spends his time looking for new books when he's not fighting. He's so polite about it one might forget that he's evil.
  • You Are Number 6/Number of the Beast: What did you expect from someone called Satanael? To be specific, his creator called him "Triple Six".

    Varael

Varael Nikaido

Voiced by: Takeshi Hayashi (Japanese)

A giant devil with the body of a beast. He can be clumsy and a bit quick to anger. Formerly an angel, he feels his strength is godly. He came to idolize Satanael's power and became a devil to understand it better. He regards Frunetti as an unattainable flower.

  • Affably Evil: Manifests itself most obviously with his relationship with Frunetti, but he sees Renya as a Worthy Opponent and has a rather sympathetic conversation with him after being defeated. Also, he's a demon of his word, and chooses not to hunt down Minamo in the Bad Future after she proves strong enough to wound him and Frunetti.
  • Beast Man: In a cast of humanoid angels and devils, Varael's beastly appearance really stands out, which he lampshades when Frunetti offers to get him coffee. Doesn't stop him from being as well-dressed as the rest of the cast.
  • Big Red Devil: He certainly looks most like your stereotypical devil.
  • Blood Knight: Really, the only thing keeping him from marching into Celestia and starting a fight is his respect for Satanael.
  • Fallen Angel: He was once an angel, but changed because he idolized Satanael's power.
  • Minion Shipping: With Frunetti. However, his pride gets in the way, and even during his death, he believed he cared only about Satanael's power and nothing else until Renya makes him realize that there was someone else he cared about.

    Frunetti

Frunetti Renzuka

Voiced by: Maki Nishikino (Pile) (Japanese)

A calm, composed beauty who is also a devil. Interested in Satanael's thought process. She harbors hostility towards angels, but she does not kill indiscriminately.

  • Affably Evil: Notable during her conversations with Varael, but she's also rather pleasant towards Renya, Fio, and Minamo. In fact, she shows no anger towards Renya in regards to Varael's death. Rather, it's more sadness over being unable to confess to him.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: Has a sizable chest that causes A-Cup Angst even to the already busty Cheriel.
  • Minion Shipping: With Varael. She's a little more honest about her relationship than Varael is.

Believers and Other Associated Characters

    Cinderella

Cinderella

Voiced by: Karen Strassman (English)

The supposed believer of Lesson 1 and the heroine from the popular fairy tale. Unfortunately, she doesn't want to be the heroine anymore.

  • Bait-and-Switch: While her insecurities are the main focus of the wish, it turns out she's not actually the believer. It's the little girl listening to the story, who wished for Cinderella's happiness.
  • The Cynic: Years of abuse turned her into one, to the point where she questions the meaning of her own story and how the Prince thinks of her.
  • Despair Event Horizon: She's been living it for years. Although each telling of the story ends with her happily ever after, she has to suffer the abuse at the hands of her stepmother and stepsisters each and every time the story begins.
  • Driven to Suicide: She tried to break the story's plot so that the story itself would erase her (replacing her with an entirely new Cinderella without her memories). That said, The Prince, and Renya, would have nothing of it.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: At her most cynical, Cinderella makes it very clear to the Prince that her story that is about seizing her own happiness can also be viewed as the Prince's hunt for a bride. She also proposes an Armor-Piercing Question about whether or not the Prince would still fall in love with her if they hadn't met at a ball and under her Fairy Godmother's enchantment.
  • The Pollyanna: The Prince thinks she's this. Cinderella thinks she's far from it.

    Weakling Zombie

Weakling Zombie

The believer of Lesson 2. A zombie (yes, even the undead pray to God) who completely lacks confidence in himself and is constantly scolded by his commanding zombie for his wimpy attitude. He wishes to be strong and not be bullied anymore.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: It takes awhile before the "hidden badass" comes out, but the thought of being completely rejected by God causes him to grow into a powerful zombie that gives Renya a lot of trouble. By the end, his Sergeant is so filled with pride that the Weakling is made a full-fledged zombie and later becomes "Rookie Zombie of the Year".
  • Despair Event Horizon/Rage Breaking Point: After trying so many methods to help the zombie, Renya "decides" to completely give up on him and gives him one big "The Reason You Suck" Speech for being such a quitternote . When he realizes that God is giving up on him and that God is even taunting him for his weakness, he loses it and becomes a powerful giant zombie.

    Eleanor

Eleanor

The believer of Lesson 3. A young mermaid whose sister, Thelma, has been acting strangely after a break-up with her lover.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: She gives one really epic "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Thelma for overreacting over her break-up and trying to take it out on the entire human male population.
  • Interspecies Romance: Toward the end of the game, Eleanor falls in love with a human boy but is hesitant to tell Thelma due to her break-up. Luckily, Thelma tells Eleanor that she'll support her even when things don't work out.
  • Little Sister Heroine: She fits the general character associated with the trope and Lilliel says that Renya may be projecting his Big Brother Instinct towards Minamo onto her.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: And she's capable of moving on land, it seems, despite having no legs.

    Ryukan

Ryukan

The believer of Lesson 4. A brave knight in charge of protecting his country and princess from the invading Imperial Army. His wish is the protection of the princess and the defeat of the army's evil warlord.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: A very straight example.
  • Real Men Love Renya: The guy is absolutely ashamed when he mistook God and his angel as the enemy and is one of the few who show complete respect for Renya from the very beginning.

    Minamo

Minamo Kagurazaka

Voiced by: Rin Hoshizora (Riho Iida) (Japanese)

Renya's younger sister. While she considers him kind of lame, she still cares a great deal about him. She's especially worried now that Renya is constantly leaving and returns bruised and tired. In Lesson 6, Minamo from a year in the future makes a wish to see Renya again, who had mysteriously died (later revealed to have been killed by Varael).

  • Secret Character: She's unlocked as an ally after clearing 30F of the Survival Dungeon in New Game Plus.
  • Superpowerful Genetics: When granting the wish of the Minamo of the future, Renya learns that she also contains the Fate Revolution DNA, making her another possible candidate for God. It's because of this that Frunetti and Varael want her dead.

    Young Man

Young Man/The Creator

The believer of Lesson 7. A dubious and carefree young man who resides in a special garden. Unlike the other believers, the aberrations seem to be obedient towards him. He is also known as "The Creator". He is the creator of the Black Wings, who are labeled as Devils/Demons, and by extension White Wings (AKA Angels), who were born or transformed from Black Wings. His most notable creation is a rare and powerful Black Wing named "Triple Six", who eventually called himself Satanael.
  • A God I Am Not: He has the power to create life, but states he isn't the true God.
  • God Is Inept: The creation of the Black Wings eventually led to the Angel-Demon war, and the creation of Satanael led to the massacre of scores of White Wings, leading to the creation of the Fate Revolution Circuit, Mysiel's sacrifice, the deaths of many Gods, and Renya being forced to become the newest God. He didn't necessarily mean any harm (though he has no shame in taking credit for his creation), but pretty much all the problems in the game can be traced back to him.
  • God Is Good: He does have faith in Renya and encourages him to do what is right instead of trying to be completely empty like Satanael, and says that he will not use his power of creation anymore as he had promised to Renya. It's also implied that had Lilliel not sacrificed her powers to save Renya, he would have brought back Renya himself.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: While he's not evil, he did create Satanael.
  • I Gave My Word: Surprisingly. He made a promise with Renya to never create anything again if he succeeded in defeating Satanael. Despite Renya's apparent disappearance in the ending, he does keep his word without anybody around to force him to.
  • Inexplicably Awesome: Exactly who or what he is isn't revealed. He states he isn't the God despite his creation of Angels and Demons and that his powers aren't even unique.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Despite how silly he may be, the game becomes a lot more serious once he's introduced.
  • Never Given a Name: He's only referred to in-game as Young Man even after The Reveal. He himself says that he really has no name and the closest thing to one would be his title, the Creator. He even asks Renya to give him one, which he refuses.
  • The Maker: He has the power of Creation, but he doesn't necessarily control what he creates.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Introduced as someone Renya, Lilliel, and Mysiel automatically dub as sketchy. He turns out to be far more than what he seems.
  • Our Gods Are Different: He's more closer to an actual god than Renya, who, at best, is an abnormally powerful human. That said, he says that there are many out there like him and above him.
  • Troll: While ultimately good, he really, really loves to mess around with people.
  • Walking Spoiler: Let's just say he's a very important figure in the grand scheme of things.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Renya wastes no time in calling him out for creating Satanael and even punches him at the end of the Lesson.

    Fio

Fio

The believer of Lesson 9. A young girl who lives in a post-apocalyptic world where she is the only known survivor. She doesn't have a specific wish.
  • First Kiss: With Renya. It's just a peck on the cheek, but it's enough to get Lilliel really upset. Still, Fio was mostly teasing.
  • Last of Her Kind: She's the only known human in her world.
  • Plucky Girl: Despite her world in ruins with no one but herself, she keeps up a rather optimistic attitude. She gets more optimistic after spending time with Renya and Lilliel.
  • Shipper on Deck: She supports Lilliel with Renya and is hoping that Lilliel will one day be more open about her feelings towards Renya. However, that does not mean she won't steal Renya's first kiss from her.
