The Avengers (Civil War)

Ajax Ouranos

Medieval Gallantmon

"Avengers Assemble!"

During the Digimon Civil War, Ajax served as one of the rebellion's greatest assets. He was the "Ultimate Dragon Slayer": he was an incredibly skilled fighter, a great tactician, and had tremendous power while in his higher forms. In the closing months of the Civil War, Ajax took command of a group of rebel warriors that became known as the Avengers. He led them on many missions in an attempt to thwart the Dramon Empire's plans and recruit allies. Ajax was the first of the rebels to push Imego's Paladin Mode to its limit, and prove to all that the Imperialdramon wasn't invincible, as he fought him nearly to a standstill.

Ajax is focused and determined; in his methodology, he’s absolutely brutal, though he takes no pleasure from his brutal deeds. In fact, Ajax is a far more reluctant killer than one would think. He has built himself up as the ultimate dragon-slayer and has refused to acknowledge his own past as a dragon; a concept derived from his belief that the Dramon Empire has betrayed him. Nevertheless, Ajax is truly a kind and noble soul, and while he is indeed brutal and merciless, he remains honorable and refuses to be cruel.

Tropes:

  • Heroic BSoD: Strom goes through one during the battle where Rai, Karasu and Valra die, Imego reveals his Kaiser Mode and Goliath is revealed to be alive and the traitor.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: His initial views on Ranney (to an extent, Ranney's not a bad guy, but was forced to betray Strom), Ishton, Ragna, Arahon, Hyperion, Goliath...
  • Natural Weapon: Though he hasn't so far, Strom can take the blades off his back and use them as a BFS or two.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Emphasis on Roaring. Strom's reason for joining the Rebels was to get revenge on the Dramon for the torture he recieved. Though before the interrogation, Strom's intentions for joining the Rebellion were much more benevolent. It's to the point where he blames Hyperion for killing Daehak before he could.

Imperialdramon Paladin Mode

Tropes:

  • A God Am I: After he gets his Kaiser Mode, he goes completely mad with power. By the end of the final battle, he's even equating himself to a god.
  • Big Bad: Everything in the plot is down to him, even the release of Gog and Magog.
  • Cool Sword: The Omni Sword.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: He unleashed Gog and Magog only for them to immediately turn on him and atomize him.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: At the Paleozoic Sovereignty by Karasu. Again at the Dramon capital, prompting his evolution to Kaiser Mode.
  • Karmic Death: To get his position of power, Imego betrayed the Three Great Dramon and killed them. His demise came about when Gog and Magog betrayed him and decided to kill him in turn.
  • Light Is Not Good
  • One-Man Army: By the time he gets Kaiser Mode, he's gained so much power he's able to take on groups of the world's strongest Digimon with relative ease.
  • Pet the Dog: In a sense, it's revealed in the sequel and supplementary fanfics that Imego had the horrific and immoral Super Soldier project shut down. Though, true to form, he did so because the super soldiers were seen as unnecessary due to his power.
  • Smug Snake
  • The Starscream: To the Three Great Dramon.

Commander Daehak

Chaosdramon X

A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.

Tropes:

Grand Marshal Gotungir

Tropes:

Ruatemn

Ulforce Veedramon

A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.

Tropes:

  • Et Tu, Brute?: In the backstory, he pulled this on Ragna after deciding he prefered the Dramon Empire to playing peacemaker mercenary second-in-command.
  • Evil Former Friend: Ragna's. He used to be second-in-command of the Dragon Guardians, their Mega-Dragon-composed group of mercenaries.
  • Killed Off for Real: By Ragna.
  • The Rival: To Ragna. They are thematic opposites, Ragna depends on strength and is a Warrior Poet, Ruatemn depends on speed and is a calculating fighter who often mocks Ragna.
