Boundary Mountain Range Nations

    Gizania

An Arachne of the Zanalpadna nation who, after accidentally giving Van a proposal, becomes one of his many suitors. Though a daughter of the queen, for political reasons she is no longer considered a princess. However, she remains on good terms with her entire family.

  • Accidental Proposal: She gives Vandalieu a necklace of deep-friendship not realizing his gender, which for their race is treated as a proposal.
  • Amazonian Beauty: She has well-toned muscles thanks to her training as a warrior, and Van loves when she does poses for him.
  • Big Little Sister: She might be younger than her sister Kurnelia, but because she's a large-build Arachne and Kurnelia is a medium-build Arachne, she's much taller.
  • Breast Expansion: Her breasts grow a bit larger after becoming an Ushioni, going all the way to 11th in bust rankings.
  • Horned Humanoid: After evolving into an Ushioni she grows a pair of small bull horns.
  • I Owe You My Life: After being saved from a band of Orcs by Vandalieu.
  • Massive Numbered Siblings: She has seven other sisters besides Kurnelia.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Thanks to her spider body, she stands at three-meters tall.
  • Spider People: She's a large build Arachne.
  • You Didn't Ask: Only after her sister tackled her into the ground that Van and his followers realized she's technically a princess, since that's common knowledge in their nation.

    Kurnelia

Eldest Princess of the Zanalpadna Nation, who is betrothed to the heir of the Noble Orc Empire Budarion.

  • The Glomp: Greets her sister whom she thought dead with a hug that would crush the bones of a smaller creature.
  • Interspecies Romance: She's very much in love with her fiancĂ© the noble Orc Budarion.
  • Regal Ringlets: Her hair is arranged like drills, and she's the first princess of the Arachne.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: She has pink-blonde hair, and is a princess who loves her younger sister and betrothed.
  • Sickening Sweethearts: Many think her dynamic with Budarion is this.
  • Spider People: She's a medium-build Arachne.

    Myuze

An Empusa from the Zanalpadna nation who aspires to become a true Ninja Mantis. Like Gizania, after accidentally proposing to Vandalieu, she becomes one of his many future wives.

  • Accidental Proposal: She gives Vandalieu a necklace of deep-affection not realizing his gender, which for their race is treated as a proposal.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: She's an Empusa (mantis-women) and she has two normal human arms and two scythe-like arms.
  • Ninja: Wants to become a true ninja mantis, so she's very interested when she finds out Talosheim has ninjas.
  • Samurai Ponytail: Has her hair arranged this way.
  • Slaying Mantis: She's an Empusa, which means she has two arms ending in mantis scythes.
  • Verbal Tic: Like a stereotypical ninja, her sentences usually end with "-de gozaru".

    Budarion

Crown Prince of the Noble Orc Empire, who was usurped by his younger brother Bugitas and forced to take shelter in the Zanalpadna Nation with his fiancee Kurnelia. Like most of his line before him, he is noble, kind and charismatic, cementing his position as High King of the boundary mountain nations.

  • Abdicate the Throne: While he regains the control of his nation, he relinquishes the title of Emperor to Van.
  • Badass Transplant: After receiving a transplanted arm and eye from Van, his Rank greatly increases.
  • Cain and Abel: The Abel to his brother Bugitas' Cain.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: He has golden hair like most Noble Orcs, and he's an incredibly friendly guy.
  • Interspecies Romance: He's very much in love with his fiancee the Arachne Kurnelia.
  • Nice Guy: He's a very nice guy, which surprises Vandalieu and his friends since their image of orcs was nothing but savage monsters.
  • Younger Than They Look: He's actually only fifteen years old, which while young for a human is a full grown adult for a Noble Orc.

    Bugitas

Second Prince of the Noble Orc Empire. The Evil God Ravovifard took advantage of his feelings of inferiority towards his brother Budarion, granting him power and turning him into a deranged tyrant intending on conquering all the other nations of the Boundary Range.

  • Always Second Best: Apparently he never surpassed his brother in anything other than strength, and Ravovifard fed that resentment to turn him to his side.
  • Cain and Abel: The Cain to Budarion's Abel.
  • The Caligula: After dethroning his brother he and his subordinates sink into depravity.
  • This Cannot Be!: His reaction when he realizes that thanks to Vandalieu's Guidance Skill, he has already reached the same Rank and skills he obtained by making a deal with Ravovifard.
  • Deal with the Devil: His deal with the Evil God in exchange for power turned him and his followers into depraved versions of what their races represent.
  • I Have Your Wife: To keep enslaved those who might try to rebel against him, he took their families as hostages.
  • The Resenter: The only reason why Ravovifard managed to convince him was because he resented his brother for being better at him at basically everything.
  • The Starscream: Usurped his brother's throne and became a cruel tyrant for the Noble Orc Empire.
  • Unwitting Pawn: He was nothing but a tool for Ravovifard to enter the world.

    Bugogan

An exiled Noble Orc who made its way to the Devil's Nest inside the Mirg shield-nation, which he intended to take over using his Orc, goblin and Kobold minions.

  • Big Bad Wannabe: Saw himself as the future ruler of the entire Devil's Nest, only for his ambitions to come crashing down the moment he got in Vandalieu's path.
  • Bad Boss: Cuts in half a Kobold Shaman for delivering bad news. The kobold's ghost warns Vandalieu of his presence so he can start to make preparations to face him.
  • Did Not See That Coming: Orcs by nature never expect to be ambushed, so his base being stormed by Ghouls was completely unexpected.
    • He also didn't see that Van was deliberately letting him hurt him so he could poison him.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: When he and Van clash, they both use their mightiest attack against each other, but after fending off said attacks at considerable effort, come to the conclusion that the other party is probing them out, not being serious yet, so get more and more desperate as the battle rages, with Bugogan believing he'd won the fight when Van was left with a serious gash, that would likely have been fatal on anyone else, but was instead a trap where the very blood that was splashing around is highly poisonous.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: When he first appeared he was the highest ranked monster seen so far, but when Van and his friends (who had ranked up themselves a lot) visit the Noble Orc Empire, they realize he was nothing but average.
  • Orcus on His Throne: He only enters the fray after all three of his sons are dead and most of his forces are defeated, which allows Van to face him alone.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: The first enemy that actually makes Vandalieu struggle to defeat.

    Godwin

The representative of the Majin race and its king. Known for his love of alcohol and dislike for work, after meeting Vandalieu he intends to retire after his term as king is over.

  • Action Dad: Becomes Iris' second father, even if her original father is still around (in an unorthodox way).
  • The Alcoholic: He loves his booze. The only reason he entered the tournament to become representative of the Majin race was because of the extra price in alcohol.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: Majins choose their representatives this way, and he has held the rank for many years now.
  • Bash Brothers: He and Zod tag team against Gorn's forces during the battle for the Demon King Continent. And their teamwork is pretty efficient.
  • Big Red Devil: More like Big Blue Devil, but he looks like one.
  • Blood Knight: He loves a good fight, and was disappointed he wasn't allowed to take the Trial of Zakkart once more.
  • Really 700 Years Old: He's been alive for several thousands of years.
  • Retired Badass: His main objective at the moment. He wants to retire from being Majin King, but he's still their strongest.
  • Super-Toughness: He's at such a high-level he can take the punches of a true Colossus with only some effort. This is in part due to being literally punched, by Xerx the God of Battle Flags and his patron deity during his youth.
  • You Fight Like a Cow: During their exchange of blows, Godwin taunts Brateo the Thunder Colossus that his grandmother (who's still alive), punches harder than him.

    Oniwaka

The daughter of the chief of the kijin nation. She has a pretty face but an otherwise very masculine appearance, so she tends to be mistaken for a man. She is not considered an adult yet because she lacks the martial ability to complete the kijin nation's rite of passage.

  • Bifauxnen: She has a girl's face, but her tomboyish mannerisms make Vandalieu and his friends mistake her for a boy at first.
  • Birds of a Feather: Quickly becomes Van's friend because both love muscular bodies.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Her real name is Yuuma but she's usually referred to by her childhood name of Oniwaka.
  • Muscles Are Meaningful: Just like Van, she loves muscular bodies regardless of gender.
  • Tomboy Princess: She dresses and acts very masculine, loves muscles and fighting.

    Sylvari

The king of the Centaur Nation, who challenges Vandalieu to a friendly obstacle course race to determine his strength as Emperor. Like Godwin and Donaneris, he once challenged the Trial of Zakkart.

  • The Alliance: His nation formed one with the Lamia and Harpy nations to hold back the Noble Orc Empire's invasion led by Bugitas' subordinates.
  • Interspecies Romance: He's in a long distance relationship with the Queen of the Harpy nation.
  • Magical Native American: He looks like one.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: Rather than the brutes of myth, centaurs in the Boundary mountain range are perfectly friendly and have become well adapted to their unusual environment. It should be noted they're terrible while wasted, so much that drinking alcohol is forbidden at centaur weddings.

    Gizan

The King and representative of the Dark Elf nation that guards Vida's resting grounds in the Boundary Mountain Range, and one of the few to tried to clear the Trial of Zakkart alongside Godwin and Queen Donaneris.

  • Fainting: He apparently fainted in excitement, while standing, after Vandalieu announced he had freed Vida from her restraints.
  • In the Hood: He and the rest of the inhabitants of the Dark Elf Nation wear robes as uniform while doing their duties of keeping Vida's sacred grounds. Beneath the hoods they wear all sorts of casual clothes, including Stripperiffic outfits.
  • Our Elves Are Different: He's a dark elf, and like most of his kind, he's quite laid-back and a free spirit.
  • Nice Guy: He's quite friendly and welcoming towards Vandalieu and Darcia.
