Golurk
A towering, muscle-bound softie, Golurk is the textbook definition of a gentle giant. Strong, sweet, and just a little slow on the uptake, he’s always eager to help those around him, even if he’s not the best at spotting bad intentions. His trusting nature has gotten him roped into more than a few shady situations, but no matter how many times life knocks him down, Golurk keeps going with that same smile.

Contestants
The Flying Magikarp
Doduo
A walking contradiction in twin form, Pom and Perry are a conjoined Doduo who always have each other's backs... More or less by default. Pom is the brash, hot-headed half, always ready to chase the next big score, while Perry plays the cooler, more even tempered sane man behind their antics. Together, they’re a dysfunctional but inseparable team, equal parts crooks and clowns. Motivated by greed, survival, and a twisted sense of fun, the brothers thrive on making trouble, but their loyalty to each other is the one thing they could never fake.
Flygon
Hiding behind the grand persona of a noble king to cope with the overwhelming pressures of social interaction, Flygon realistically shouldn't have signed up for this. Always striving to be a strong, dependable leader for others, Flygon acts with confidence, fairness, and compassion... To herself. Around literally anyone else she is absolutely terrified of rejection and desperate for connection. The “king” is a fantasy brought to life to shield a fragile heart, and though the act may seem over-the-top or bizarre, it’s driven by a genuine desire to belong.
Frogadier
Quiet. Disciplined. Honorable. That is who Frogadier is... Or at least wants to be. A traditionalist raised with a strict warrior’s code, guided by honor and self-control, Frogadier... Is basically an act. Not an inaccurate one, but certainly exaggerated at it's core. He avoids drama, actively socially awkward, and often baffled by modern customs he's unfamiliar with. Struggling to relate yet dedicated to serve, Frogadier is very likely completely out of his depth. But good luck getting him to admit that.
Mismagius
Feared and respected in equal parts across the seas, the self-proclaimed "Pirate Queen" Mismagius is not the sort to be trifled with. With a love for adventure and a knack for spinning tales, you'd be forgiven for believing the girl invincible. But beneath the bravado lies a restless heart, one desperately longing for something more, a truth she'd never dare let slip. To the world, she's a fearless legend; to herself, she's still searching for something real.
Nidorina
Nidorina is an eager, brainy go-getter with big dreams of glory. A self-proclaimed "superfan" of reality tv, she's constantly planning, analyzing, and preparing for any challenge that comes her way. Though hardworking, her book smarts and training can only carry her so far; when it comes to real-time pressure, she’s prone to freezing up or overthinking. Driven by a deep desire to prove herself and avoid disappointing others, Nidorina's ambition often clashes with her own deep-seated anxiety.
Samurott
A confident, no-nonsense kinda guy, Samurott is the definition of keeping to yourself and staying out of trouble, unless the trouble finds him. Naturally distant, arguably even a little self-absorbed, he’d much rather enjoy peace and quiet than deal with drama. But don't mistake his aloof nature for weakness, cause behind the reserved exterior is a fierce competitor with years of fighting experience under his belt (and a real knack for showmanship at that). Protective of the people he cares about, Samurott's gruff, standoffish front hides a loyal heart.
Shieldon
A cheerful, wide-eyed optimist, Shieldon is all about making friends. Their biggest goal? Getting everyone to smile, because a happy crowd is a peaceful crowd! Playful, creative, and always ready with a kind word, Shieldon has a gift for reading the room and picking up on thoughts left unsaid, whether it’s a lie, or a crush. While they can be a bit naive, their sincerity is totally real. They really do just want to make the world a happier place.
Xatu

An old hermit seemingly at the end of his rope, Xatu is far from your typical frail elder. While he prefers to lurk in the background, this is just because he's conserving his energy and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Years of experience have made him a master of stealth and survival, something he's glad to embrace in a game like this. With his days numbered, he's here for one last challenge, and if someone manages to outsmart him, all the better.
Perceived as useless for his old age and tendency to sleep, Xatu was quickly disregarded by his team. In spite of this, he proved crucial to the Magikarp's success in the first few challenges of the season, managing to take out multiple players in the sleeping challenge, and managing to delay the Feebas during the challenge after that. However, as a result of his hunts largely being unknown to his fellow players, and grudges from Snorunt/Mismagius pushing the vote toward him, he was narrowly eliminated at his team's first official vote for the sake of team strength.
- Beneath Notice: By the time he leaves, only Grafaiai and Snorunt had managed to catch onto how dangerous he actually was, with most underestimating him as your standard old man.
- Cool Old Guy: Xatu is nearly cracking 100-years old, and is also easily among one of the best combatants in the cast.
- Crazy Survivalist: Shows himself to be very capable out in the woods, managing to set several traps and ambushes for his fellow players at varying points.
- Expy: Of The End, from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, with both being older folk nearing the end of their lives seeking out one final challenge who primarily use rifles.
- Friendly Sniper: Friendly might be pushing it, but he's shockingly affable following Grafaiai defeating him.
- Graceful Loser: When Grafaiai manages to beat him in his hunt, all Xatu can do is smile and laugh to himself, happy to have challenged himself one final time in his old age. All he does afterward is lay down and smile up at the sky.
- He also takes his elimination fairly well, not putting up much of a fuss as he never really cared too much about the game to begin with. He even manages to end things off on a tentatively friendly note with Grafaiai.
- Kick the Dog: Nobody what way you slice it, calling Mismagius a "ghoulie" (an In-Universe slur against ghost-types) was entirely uncalled for.
- The Last Dance: The crux of why he's even competing; he's nearing a hundred and knows well he's going to die soon, so he wants to find someone who can truly challenge him in a hunt before his body is no longer able to support his passion.
- Odd Friendship: With Grafaiai, oddly enough, who he seems to grow a fondness toward after he manages to beat him in a hunt.
- Old Soldier: Implied; while we never learn much about Xatu's life outside the game, he's an older fellow handy with a rifle who is still very good at using it well into his later years.
- The Quiet One: Largely keeps to himself and doesn't say much beyond a single sentence at a time. Somewhat justified in that he's usually sleeping around crowds, but even if he wasn't he tends to not care much for conversation.
- Politically Incorrect Villain: While calling him a villain might be pushing it a tad as he's largely a neutral force more than anything, he was an early antagonistic figure in Radical Island, and he's rather openly racist toward the handful of ghosts competing. In particular Mismagius, who he calls a "ghoulie", an old-school slur against ghosts, which is part of why she goes after him at elimination.
- Sleepyhead: Seemingly just drifts off at random for long periods of time. This, along with his age, is a big part of why his competition goes on to underestimate him.
- Starter Villain: One of the most prominent antagonists in the first few episodes of the series, but finds himself eliminated at the very first official elimination of the season.
- Technical Pacifist: Shockingly, Xatu never seems that intent on actually hurting anyone (well, too badly at least). His rifle only uses tranquilizers and he doesn't seem particularly fond of using his moves, in spite of the fact he's a psychic-type, which has been proven to be arguably the most dangerous by the world's standards.
- Worthy Opponent: Of all players, he manages to find someone who outsmarted him in Grafaiai of all people, who after getting chased around all day, manages to lure Xatu into one of his own traps.
- Downplayed but present with Snorunt as well. While she never officially beats him in a hunt, and likely would have lost on a rematch, she did manage to outlast him till he fell asleep, and he seemed excited at the idea of getting another chance to take her down.
Grafaiai
A trickster through and through, Grafaiai is a devious wildcard who lives to stir the pot. Manipulative to a fault and always playing some elaborate mind game, he thrives on getting under people's skin. Winning? Losing? He couldn't care less, what matters is messing with these dopes and having a good laugh about it. With a love for psychological warfare, Grafaiai is as much a headache as he is a master of strategy. You never really know when he's being genuine, or if he ever is.
The Sinking Feebas
Alcremie
A bubbly and eccentric chatterbox, Alcremie thrives on attention and validation. While her scattered focus and endless tangents may give off ditzy vibes, she's anything but dumb. She's just overflowing with too many interests to count, being wildly passionate, easily excitable, and always ready to try something new. Deep down, Alcremie is just a sincere, spirited girl who wants to be seen for more than just her looks, even if she can be... A lot.
Beautifly

Beautifly is a bold and headstrong dreamer with a fierce love for rock music and an even fiercer desire to prove themselves. Though they lack natural talent, especially when it comes to songwriting, their passion and work ethic keep them pushing forward. Beautifly has spent years fighting against expectations to live life on their own terms, and while their confidence sometimes masks the truth about their struggles, their heart is always in the right place.
Caterpie
A total fish (or rather, worm) out of water, Caterpie is the closest thing to a normal guy in the cast. He's quiet, kind-hearted, and clearly going through it, but still trying his best to keep it together. Though he's not exactly here by choice, he's determined to make the most of it, partly because he has something to prove, and partly because, honestly, what else has he got to lose? Behind the awkward energy and tired eyes is someone just hoping to catch a break for once, and who knows, maybe this'll be exactly that?
Dragonite
A hulking dragon with the heart of a doting dad, Dragonite may look fierce, but he’s a total softie underneath the scales. Kind, protective, and a little overbearing in that classic “dad who double-checks the map” sort of way, he’s always putting others first. He’s full of outdated wisdom, groan-worthy puns, and an endless supply of dad jokes, but it all comes from a place of hard-earned life experience. While he may struggle with the times, his empathy makes him someone you'd want in your corner, even if he's still figuring out how to use a smartphone.
Dusknoir
Jaded beyond belief with empathy to match, Dusknoir is a master detective driven more by a hatred of boredom than any sense of justice. With a twisted sense of humor and almost no moral compass, he’ll solve any case for just about anyone as long as it keeps things interesting. Emotionally detached and socially tone-deaf, Dusknoir isn’t exactly friendly, but his uncanny instincts and experience in both the natural and supernatural make him a force to be reckoned with. He’s not in it for the fame or the prize, he just wants something weird enough to keep his centuries-old brain entertained.
Floatzel
A ball of energy packed into a sleek, competitive frame, this Floatzel lives for the thrill of the challenge. Loud, fearless, and relentlessly driven, whether she’s in a heated battle, intense workout, or an eating contest, she refuses to stop pushing her limits. Her passion for competition is matched only by her refusal to ever give up, seeing every day as a new chance to outdo herself and everyone around her. While her determination can be inspiring, it also makes her reckless, stubborn, and not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.
Hattrem
An adventurous chatterbox with a knack for stirring up trouble, Hattrem is always eager to swap stories and dive into the unknown. She thrives on exploring new places, quick with a snarky comeback and even quicker to throw hands if pushed too far. While her smarts serve her well, her impulsive nature and total inability to keep a secret can sometimes trip her up. Still, her drive to uncover the world’s mysteries keeps her moving forward, no matter how thorny the path.
Noctowl
A cunning loner with a superiority complex, Noctowl is as calculating as he is cold. Analytical and self-serving, he views others as tools or obstacles in the way of his success, never hesitating to throw someone under the bus if it gives him an edge. Socially distant and openly unfriendly, he’s quick to provoke, slow to forgive, and struggles to stay focused if his pride takes a hit. Which is obviously never could cause he's no loser. And besides, he had an edge on his side that's sure to secure his victory.
Snorunt
Snorunt is the kind of girl who aces every exam, and makes you regret ever trying to get on her good side. Brilliant, bitter, and brutally honest, she hides behind layers of calculated cruelty; a deeply cynical loner who’s weaponized her brains to survive in a world she gave up trusting long ago. She doesn’t do friends, only allies, and even then, she’s the one calling the shots. Calculating, cruel, and cutthroat, Snorunt might be small, but her ambition is anything but.
