    Ace, The Pride of Tempra
Ace is a versatile melee hero capable of tanking, initiating, or dealing high burst damage. His ability to jump over terrain allows him to approach unexpectedly and dish out the pain. Plus, he's the baddest dude on Tempra.
  • Heroic Build: His arms are bigger than his head! Boasted about in his lines from leveling up his ultimate where he says stereotypical weight-training boasts.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: One of his skills can be used to this, when he leaps and damages everyone in landing point, even moreso that one of his possible yells is "YOLO!"
  • Meaningful Name: He sure as hell thinks he's an ace too. His title is about as appropriate.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: He might have managed to get into the trials of Strife, but his ego still greatly outstrips what that would justify. Must've taken tips from Draven.
  • Spin Attack: Spincicle, the token 'Spin To Win' skill of the game. Fewer spins, but low cooldown allows Ace to spam it, as long as he has enough mana.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: He seems to have skipped leg day.

    Bandito, Gambling Droid
Bandit.0 is a snarky droid who specializes... in a bit of everything. You could consider him a jack of all trades, as he's got versatility in spades. He may not be the best at any one thing, but he can do it all, and he always does it in style.
  • Cavalier Competitor: Treats the Trials of Strife as a tournament that he's certain to win.
  • Death Dealer: But of course! Courtesy of his Searing Cards ability.
  • The Gambler: Naturally. His basic attack is throwing dice at people, Token Toss throws a poker chip, Searing Cards throws bunch of playing cards, Gambler's Fortune heals and speed you up with a golden beam and money and, well, he's a sentient robotic slots machine.
  • Improbable Weapon User: He kills you with dice, poker chips and playing cards, and heals you with money.
  • Instant A.I.: Just Add Water!: Bandito came to life after one too many hacking attempts by cheating patrons.
  • Money Multiplier: Hitting a hero with Token Toss grants him some free gold.
  • Random Number God: A clear example, though not quite as severely as the notorious Ogre Magi. His ultimate passively gives him a chance of immediately refunding the cooldown and mana cost of his other abilities on their use. He can also activate it to guarantee a refund, as well as doubling the passive chance of it for 8 seconds, but after that 8 seconds, he loses the passive entirely until his ultimate cools down.
  • Shout-Out: His splash art, wherein he's playing poker with robotic dogs.

    Bastion, The Golden Child
Bastion excels at charging head-first into enemies, leading his team from the front. With his strong combination of survivability, damage output, and crowd control, Bastion has the potential to dominate a game.

    Blazer, Scout of the Stars

Bo, A Traveler on a Journey
Bo is an aggressive melee hero who excels at initiation. His skills provide the mobility and crowd control necessary to dictate both small skirmishes and large team fights.

    Buford, Slug Shooter
Buford specializes in utilizing his variety of bayou bugs to slow, burn and steal life from his enemies. With the ability to change his fighting style after each spellcast, Buford can handle any situation that may arise.

Caprice, The Pirate Queen of Lyrie
Caprice is an extremely mobile hero who focuses on getting in and out of combat. She brings excellent damage potential with a combination of her attacks and skills.
  • Anvil on Head: Except with an anchor. The indicator it's falling onto an area is, of course, an X marking the spot.
  • Booze Flamethrower: Of sorts - instead, her Fire Lager ability has her toss a barrel of liquor forward with a trail leaking behind it while tossing a bomb up into the air that will ignite the alcohol for more damage after it hits the ground.
  • Everyone Loves Blondes: It's probably not a coincidence Strife's Ms. Fanservice is a blue-eyed blonde.
  • The Gunslinger: Downplayed example, with her ultimate (which comes with two charges) having her shoot a single shot from her pistol.
  • Hand Cannon: Her pistol resembles a flintlock pistol, if a usual flintlock pistol's barrel was twice as long and the opening flared out like a blunderbuss.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Her usual weapons are not the large flintlock Hand Cannon she holds, it's incendiary bombs on her belt that she tosses at enemies. She shoot her Hand Cannon solely from her ultimate - possibly in a bit of a Gameplay and Story Integration of flintlock firearms being slow to reload and so her use of one was intended to be fairly limited.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: No. She's a pirate! While the harsher parts of piracy aren't really applied to her, she nonetheless started her career as a pirate by sinking her father's naval fleet.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She's quite curvaceous, which is easily seen by her clothing being tight on her. Games loading up show an icon which include a shot of looking to the right and her butt facing to viewers.
  • Pirate Girl
  • Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: She's a bit busy fighting in the Trials of Strife to do her day job, especially after she sunk her ship and marooned her crew to start doing the former. She definitely did her day job quite a lot beforehand though.
  • Talk Like a Pirate: Well, yeah.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: Her basic attacks.

    Carter, Goblins of Ambition
Carter offers extremely long range magic damage, and is perfect for the player who likes to bombard from afar. Often, he can give your team the edge before fully engaging in a fight.
  • Extreme Omnivore: The stuff of Carter's Yak Attack hitting the ground aside from the green vomit also includes a few cans...
  • Combos: All of his abilities do more damage when the projectile passes through his Ring of Fire.
  • Incendiary Exponent: You can tell his abilities went through his Ring of Fire and got pumped up because then they'll be glittering with blue fire.
  • Long-Range Fighter: The definite example in the game, given Carter's Rocket Barrage is a basic ability that can hit you while you're attacking his lane's first tower while he's hiding behind the second one and his Imminent Boom ultimate goes pretty far and then chases you. Naturally, the trio's weakness is a lack of mobility and survivability.
  • No Name Given: One of them is named Carter. They're not sure which one. No one's sure what the others would be then, as well.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: All of Carter's abilities save for Yak Attack.
  • Zombie Puke Attack: Yak Attack has the big maybe-Carter vomit over a long distance to damage and slow enemies in an area.

    Chester, Court Jester
Chester is a master tactician. His offers a plethora of powerful buffs for allies, and deadly area control abilities for his enemies.

    Claudessa, The Wounded Warrior
Claudessa is a versatile melee hero capable of tanking, supporting, or dealing area damage. Whichever role you choose, she will always be in the thick of things, causing chaos and turning tides.
  • Handicapped Badass: Lacking a left arm, not lacking in asskicking potential.
  • Smurfette Principle: In her order - she's the first woman in the Knights of Claudus, based in her home plane Gael.

Fetterstone is an aggressive attack damage hero who can chase down foes. His surprising survivability allow him to find the perfect opportunity to shell out destruction with Explosive Rounds.

    Flak, Bounty Hunter
Flak is an expert in attacking enemies from afar. With the ability to seperate herself from her foes and additional damage based on how far from her target she is, Flak can decimate enemies before they can even reach her.
  • Only in It for the Money: She joined the Trials of Strife because she's spendthrift enough to bother doing it with her normal bounty hunting being insufficient.

    Gokong, Alpha Krymate
Gokong is a trickster specializing in attack damage. His ability to be everywhere and nowhere on a battlefield makes him a lethal yet evasive threat.

    Hale, Outcast, Survivor
Hale is a melee attack damage hero who offers excellent mobility and initiation. He is unmatched in a head-to-head melee fight, and can sustain continuous farming of neutral monsters.
  • BFS: As tall as him, and wider than a strongman's arms.

Harrower is an attack damage hero who switches between ranged and melee forms. Extremely mobile, Harrower is able to chase enemies very effectively and escape unfavorable fights.

    Minerva, Myliobatoid-66-11- 15
Minerva is a melee hybrid hero who is constantly on the move. Her ability to dash around the battlefield makes her a difficulty target to crowd control and focus-fire.

    Moxie, "The Cosmic Defender"
Moxie is a ranged caster who is always moving and slinging out spells. He is able to deal great up-front burst damage as well as solid sustained damage, with Astral Winds enabling him to kite or chase foes.
  • Acrofatic: While he resembles an overweight cat that walks on just two legs, he's still one of the faster-moving ranged characters in the game.
  • Announcer Chatter: Moxie himself is a cat, and so can't speak, therefore for many of "his" lines, he instead has a male Large Ham announcer, different from the ubiquitous female announcer, speaking of him as if he were the hero of a cartoon show.
  • Cats Are Magic: And that's before he even dons his Wizard Classic skin.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Moxie joined the Trials of Strife to get away from his people's grand expectations of his prophetic heritage...the Trials of Strife is training for an oncoming terrible invasion. It seems likely Moxie's people will end up be quite satisfied with his choices.
  • Hit-and-Run Tactics: With his Astral Winds ability providing him a boost of speed and slow immunity while his Z Zap can't miss, Moxie is quite good at harrying his opponents.
  • Ninja Pirate Robot Zombie: Lightning Mage-Superhero-Fat-Cat!
  • Pun: His Ball Lightning ability, which appears as an electrified ball of yarn rolling forward.
  • Shock and Awe

    Shank, Dangerous Fugitive
Shank is a melee hero who excels at ganking and initiation. His Manacle offers a unique method of initiation by hooking enemies to your team.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: His Manacle ultimate provides the classical Pudge-like long-range pull. It cannot hit non-hero targets and be combined with using Rocket Boots while the enemy is flying toward Shank to further the target's woes, but has a cooldown of some significance.

    Trace, Young Adventurer
Trace is an incredibly versatile melee/ranged damage dealer. She is able to get in and get out after dealing a large amount of damage, while building up her own defenses with every step she takes.

    Trixie, Maverick Mage

    Vermillion, The Bounty Hunter
Vermillion focuses on long range basic attacks. With proper positioning and separation from enemies, Vermillion can single-handedly deal out death to the entire enemy team.
  • Boring, but Practical: Half of his skillset are passives that apply to his basic attack, but they're what make him fearsome.
  • Magikarp Power: He doesn't provide a lot to his team initially, but after he gets his levels and items, his basic attacks will tear down minion waves, players and towers alike in short order.
