Sam/Ludovico Morrero

Roleplayer(s): Corvus

A laid-back vampire who tends to suppress his emotions and say things of dubious and insincere nature. Retriever of new students for the Academy. Later becomes a daycare worker at the school.

Tropes:

  • Can't Catch Up: Sam's certainty not weak, but his abilities are considered standard vampire powers, and is therefore quite average in that respect. He's concerned about the growing power gap between him and the others, especially Dan.
  • Combat Pragmatist
  • Cool Shades
  • Deadpan Snarker
  • Flash Step: All comes with his vampire powers.
  • Fragile Speedster
  • Genre Savvy: Occasionally goes through entire rants pertaining to cliches and stereotypes pertaining to the paranormal.
  • Heroic BSoD: Pretty much constantly with every character death. Since it's Sam, it's hard to tell how much is actual nervous breakdown and how much is snark but he's clearly got some lingering issues.
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: Talks himself up a lot and is constantly competing for the limelight, but it's shown that he doesn't think too highly of himself after all.
  • Knight In Sour Armor: He realizes he lives in a cruel and brutal world, having lived long enough in it, and is a very cynical person. However, he still chooses to fight upon hearing the call because it's the right thing to do, and frequently calls out villains for using the horrors of the world as a scapegoat for their own evil plans.
  • Leaning On The Fourth Wall
  • Not So Stoic: We occasionally see genuine care for his friends, as well as anger for injustice.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Sam's smart, being around for almost six centuries. Not that you will ever see him act like it.
  • Older Than They Look
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Averted. Sure, he's chaotic at times, but far from evil.
  • Refuge in Audacity: "Sam was easily able to conceal his condition as a vampire by acting as vampiric as possible."
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot
  • Sophisticated as Hell
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: He puts importance on maintaining his image in front of others. But he cares way more than he lets on.
  • Sunglasses at Night: Always wears them. This is in part of being a vampire when the sun is taken into account. Otherwise, it's to appear as The Stoic.
  • Super Speed: Part of his vampire repertoire.
  • Talks A Metaphor: And he has the tendency to get lost in them.
  • Trickster Archetype
  • Unusual Ears: As a vampire, his are slightly pointed.
