One of the most important galaxies in the SporeWiki Fiction Universe, Cyrannus is the home of vast empires, dozens upon dozens of characters and immersive plots. The galaxy has many elements of other sci-fi franchises, such as Star Wars and Star Trek. The galaxy is culturally diverse, with factions including the imperialistic Cyrannian Empire, the democratic New Cyrannian Republic, the zealous Cognatus and the fiendish Neraida.

Galactic Empire of Cyrannus

The Cluster's largest and most powerful nation, ruled by Emperor Antediluvian with an iron claw.

• The Bad Guy Wins: One of the few examples on SporeWiki.
• The Empire
• Take Over the World: On a larger scale. Many in the Empire seek to conquer the entire populated universe.
• Obviously Evil: As hard as it tries to seem like a boon for the universe, the Empire generally goes about keeping order in by way of your classic totalitarian dictatorship.
• One World Order: Again on a larger scale.
• Repressive, but Efficient: While the Empire is a repressive autocracy with a ruthless approach to unrest or opposition, quality life in the Empire is generally of a very high standard so long as you follow the rules.

Everything is going according to plan.

The overall antagonist of the Cyrannia Cluster, Antediluvian is an ancient Oikoumene warrior, turned Galactic Emperor.

• Abusive Precursors: Links in with Fantastic Racism.
• Ambition Is Evil: Taking over the galaxy could imply this.
• Big Bad: Of Cyrannus as whole, and to a lesser extent the entire Cyrannia Cluster.
• The Chessmaster
• The Emperor: Type 2
• Emperor Scientist / Sorcerous Overlord: Being a precursor in SporeWiki, the line between the two is rather blurry. It is more likely given the setting of his stories that he's the former but appears to be the latter.

• Fantastic Racism: Like many Oikoumene, he believes his species are better than everyone else. However, he feels the need to protect other species by placing them under his rule.

• General Ripper: In Apotheosis, sort of.
• God-Emperor: He is not worshipped per se by anyone other than his acolytes, but can still be considered one because of his power level.

• Mysterious Past: The details on the reasons for his hibernation remain unknown.
• Tall Red Dinosaur's Burden: That's the form his Fantastic Racism takes: Antediluvian has a European colonist-esque belief that it is his duty to bring the younger races of the Gigaquadrant to order (i.e subjugate them) for their own good.
• Villain with Good Publicity:
• Well-Intentioned Extremist: Most of the Gigaquadrant seems to have this view, and he definitely was during Apotheosis. How much remains of his original goal now is debatable.

Zillum

Former general in the Confederacy of Allied Systems, now the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Navy.

• Arch-Enemy: Apollo and Commandant Khuenaten.
• Artificial Limbs: After his death.
• Bastard Understudy: To Antediluvian.
• Cool Starship: He usually has at least one.
• Four-Star Badass
• Genius Bruiser: He's a fairly good strategist, and his manipulation of his wife and a campaign of vendetta against Apollo shows that he can be quite cunning if he wants to.
• Hero Killer: During the Great Cyrannus War.
• We Can Rebuild Him: Antediluvian did.
• Unholy Matrimony: His wife is the emperor of the Mortalitas and one of the Empire's Mandators. Not that he's a loving husband, though.
• Unwitting Pawn: To Antediluvian.

New Cyrannian Republic

Those loyal to the ideals of democracy, freedom and self-determination.

• Back from the Brink: Antediluvian wiped out the reputation of "democratics" but the movement become a strong power again after spending several years as nothing but a single fleet and a few plucky resistors.
• The Hero: From a certain point of view. The Republic isn't exactly popular in the millions of Imperial worlds.
• The Republic: Cyrannus is once again becoming known as a centre of democracy, despite its Imperial hyperpower.

Characters

Apollo

Former leader of the United Republic of Cyrannus and a figure of peace and hope.

• Arch-Enemy: Zillum.
• Badass Pacifist: Deplores violence, but that doesn't make him any less of a badass.
• Evil Counterpart: In a mirror reality, Apollo rules tyrannically over the entire Gigaquadrant.
• Nice Guy: Probably one of the nicest on the wiki.
• Guile Hero: In most cases, he uses his charm, not his guns to defeat his enemies.
• Happily Married: With Gianne Inviá until she was unfortunately assassinated.
• Our Presidents Are Different: President Personable. A touch of action and iron. He was also a target during the Great Cyrannus War.
• Sharp-Dressed Man: Since becoming President.
• The Heart: During the Dominion War.
• The Leader: Type IV.
• The Protagonist: Of Cyrannian's fiction.

Adelheidis

Leader of the Exiled Republic.

• Black Widow: See The Vamp.
• Corrupt Politician: She only cares about herself.
• The Vamp: She has been known to seduce men (and woman) into getting what she wants.

Gorf

A remnant of Laminoula'Fuerq formed after his death, Gorf is a small, but very powerful critter who currently serves as Apollo's companion.

• Amusing Alien: He was made to be this.
• Ascended Extra: Gorf was originally a joke character. He was brought into canon through the Great Cyrannus War.
• Death Is Cheap: Killing Gorf causes him to be reborn in the Realm of Dreams, as if nothing had happened.
• Our Angels Are Different: Being born from Laminoula'Fuerq and being a Dream Energy technically makes Gorf an angel-like being. However, he does not display any angel-like traits apart from his White Magic.
• Ridiculously Cute Critter: In-universe. Out of universe, not so much.
• Teleport Spam: He tends to do it a lot. He can teleport several light-years in a matter of seconds. This was, in fact, how he met Apollo.
• Verbal Tic: "Peem".
• White Magic: He can use Dream Energy, and is actually a full Dream Energy organism.

Neraida Gigamatrix

An empire of Scary Dogmatic Assimilators and the second largest threats to the Cyrannia Cluster after the Galactic Empire, led by an artificial species known as the Neraida, created by the long extinct Nagith Empire.

Commandant Khuenaten

The military master and Marinox commandant of the Neraida Gigamatrix, Khuenaten is one of the most dreaded and powerful warriors of the Cyrannian Cluster and overall, the most powerful non-supernatural Marinox in existence.

• Action Bomb: Can turn himself into this as a last resort weapon.
• Arch-Enemy: Supreme Commander Zillum.
• Back from the Dead: After dying in the Great Cyrannus War, he was brought back in a entirely new and more powerful body.
• BFS: Has a large, electric-enhanced blade as his weapon of choice.
• Implacable Man: Once he has set his eyes on a victim, he will stop at nothing to get them.
• Off with His Head!: He was killed during the Great Cyrannus War by being decapitated by Zillum.
• Taking You with Me: Did this to Zillum in their battle. He nearly succeeded.

Meketanor

A Cyrannian Marinox who acts as Antediluvian's personal assassin and enforcer.

• Black Eyes of Evil: His eyes are completely pitch-black.
• Blood Knight: The only thing close to his love for his master is his love for combat.
• Laser-Guided Amnesia: One of his powers, which he inflicts on his victims by having them stare into his eyes.
• Lean and Mean
• No Biological Sex: Being a Marinox, Meketanor is genderless.
• No-Sell: Bullets in general. They just ricochet off his skin.
• Spikes of Villainy: Take a look at his forehead.
• Undying Loyalty: Meketanor sees Antediluvian as his god and follows him with extreme zeal.
• Worthy Opponent: He sees one in Khuenaten, though the feeling is not mutual.
