Etno Polino
Voiced by: Peter Hudson (French, Season 1 and Stupid Invaders), Bernard Alane (French, Season 2), Maurice LaMarche (English), Riccardo Lombardo (Italian, Season 1, first dub), Oliviero Dinelli (Italian, Season 1, second dub), Paolo Sesana (Italian, Season 2)
Etno is the smartest of the quintet, acting as the brains of the group. He is purple with a long nose and big lips. He tries to build the spaceships to get the aliens home, but all of his attempts end in failure.- Bungling Inventor: Etno's spaceships have a tendency to explode.
- Expy: Etno's character is similar to Dr. Splitz from Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys, given how they're not only both intellects with British accents, but also both voiced by Maurice LaMarche.
- Know-Nothing Know-It-All: Invoked. Etno is quite intelligent, but most of his alien knowledge is useless on Earth.
- Only Sane Man: Etno tries to keep his cool in most situations while the others panic easily.
- The Smart Guy: He's easily the brains of the group, and the ipso-facto leader because of it.
- Smart People Play Chess: Etno plays chess in two episodes.
Candy Hector Caramella
Voiced by: Eric Le Roch (French, Season 1 and Stupid Invaders), Éric Métayer (French, Season 2), Charlie Adler (English), Gianluca Iacono (Italian), Massimiliano Alto (Italian, Season 1, second dub)
Candy is the "mom" of the group and does the cooking and cleaning for the aliens. He is distinguished via his large green head, sharp teeth and the fact that he is the only one who wears any sort of clothing item.- Alliterative Name: Candy Caramella
- Adaptational Gender Identity: In the original show, Candy is an effeminate, Ambiguously Gay, crossdressing cis man. In Stupid Invaders, Candy is a trans woman who plans on having bottom surgery once she returns to her home planet. It's answered years later that they are non-binary, yet the writers didn't know the language of it at the time.
- Ambiguously Gay: He shows hints of this from time to time in season one. By season two, however, all sense of ambiguity is thrown out the window.
- Butt-Monkey: While all the aliens get their share, Candy probably gets it the worst, especially in season two.
- Character Exaggeration: In the video game, Candy goes from crossdressing to actually wanting a sex change operation.
- Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Even though they are not an animal, they wear an apron-like skirt in their normal outfit.
- Little Green Men: Candy fits the bill just by his design alone.
- Neat Freak: Candy likes to clean around the house very frequently and has become quite attached to his vacuum cleaner in the process.
- Precision F-Strike: In "Once Upon a Time", Candy exclaims "Intergalactic damnation!" in response to learning that the group has landed on the human-populated Earth. Not long after, Etno refers to Earth as a "God-forsaken planet".
- She's a Man in Japan: In the Latin American Spanish dub of the first season, Candy is female.
- The Smurfette Principle:
- Subverted in the show as Candy is the only character that is either male or female depending on the language. In English, he's primarily male, while the Latin American Spanish version of season 1 has Candy as a token chick.
- Played straight in Stupid Invaders, where Candy is a trans woman.
- Team Mom: He likes to cook and clean, and is generally pretty uptight and scolding of the other aliens. The extended theme song says it best.Candy is the sweetest one/Cleans and cooks and acts like mom
- Wholesome Crossdresser: Most of Candy's disguises are women and he's a fairly Nice Guy despite his Neat Freak tendencies.
Gorgious Klatoo
Voiced by: Patrick Préjean (French), Michael Sicoly (English, first half of Season 1), Danny Mann (English, second half of Season 1 onwards), Pietro Ubaldi (Italian), Franco Mannella (Italian, Season 1, second dub)
Gorgious is an ill-tempered glutton who will eat practically anything. He is short, blue and fat with a single tooth sticking out of his mouth.- Acid Reflux Nightmare: In "Sweet Tooth Blues", after eating too many sweets, Gorgious has a nightmare where he gambles for his teeth.
- Ambiguously Bi: While he's shown to have the hots for a female tenant in "First Love", but also seems to have a lot of flirtatious moments with Candy in the show.
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: Possibly with Candy, as he often belittles and argues with them, but the two have had some questionable moments together (the most obvious one being the part in Stupid Invaders where he compliments her ass).
- Big Eater/Extreme Omnivore: Gorgious will eat anything and everything if left to his own devices.
- Eats Babies: Apparently, Gorgious has no qualms doing this, as he attempts to eat one in "Maybe Baby", earning the disgust of the other aliens in the process, who want to try to study or care for the baby they found. He loses interest when the baby soils himself.
- Fat Bastard: Gluttonous and constantly bullies the other aliens, especially in season 2.
- Ironic Name: Gorgious's name is one letter off from and is pronounced "gorgeous". He's anything but.
- Obsessed with Food: Gorgious quite clearly has a food fetish.
- Precision F-Strike: At the end of "Doodle", Gorgious flat-out says, "This is such a retarded idea!" while trying to cheer up Bud.
- Also, in "Time for a Change", when Bud tries to warn his friends that using a time machine to escape tenants will "juggle the eggs of fate", they all just laugh at him, with Gorgious adding, "That Bud always says the funniest crap in his sleep!"
- "The Alien King" also has Gorgious calling the living room "a bunch of garage sale crap".
- The Scream: When he finds out that there are no more food in the refrigerator in "Bats in the Belfry".
- Smarter Than They Look: While he can sometimes figure as pretty stupid, he shows some quick thinking at some moments and is even good enough to build an entire motorcycle on his own in the dark.
- Sweet Tooth: He has a massive love for sweets, to the point where it became a central plot point in "Sweet Tooth Blues".
Bud Budiovitch
Voiced by: Marc Bretonnière (French, Season 1 and Stupid Invaders), Éric Métayer (French, Season 2), Jeff Bennett (English, Season 1 and Stupid Invaders), Louis Garneau (English, Season 2), Diego Sabre (Italian), Luigi Ferraro (Italian, Season 1, second dub)
Bud is the dopey dumb one of the group, with a long orange body and bloodshot pink eyes. He has absorbed much of Earth's culture via TV, which he is addicted to.- Covert Pervert: He apparently has a Porn Stash according to the adventure game.
- Expy: Bud bears a somewhat striking resemblance to Pete Puma from Looney Tunes, given how they're both tall, orange, dimwitted characters. Even Jeff Bennett's voice for Bud in the English version of season 1 is similar to Pete's.
- Genius Ditz: Bud is the stupidest of the bunch... except when it comes to stuff he learned from watching TV.
- Klingons Love Shakespeare: An alien who just can't get enough of watching Earth television.
- Manchild: Bud easily has the least mature mind out of all the aliens. In "Get Off My Couch!", Candy chews him out about this, stating that he's "340 years old and [he] still acts like [he's] 112".
- The Noseless: He's the only alien without a visible nose.
- Repetitive Name: Bud Budiovitch
- Simpleton Voice: Has a rather dopey-sounding voice to coincide with his status as The Ditz, at least in English.
- Taught by Television: Bud learns a lot about Earth culture just by simply watching TV shows and movies. He tends to have his moments more times than one might think, thanks to this.
Stereo Monovici
Voiced by: Antoine Tomé (French, Season 1 and Stupid Invaders), Patrick Guillemin (French, Season 2), Jeff Bennett (English, Season 1 and Stupid Invaders), Danny Mann (English, Season 2), Simone D'Andrea (Italian, left head), Francesco Orlando (Italian, right head), Riccardo Scarafoni (Italian, left head, Season 1, second dub), Enrico Di Troia (Italian, right head, Season 1, second dub)
Stereo is a two-headed bookworm whose heads frequently argue with one another. They are red and have long necks.- Badass Bookworm: The two are known to be bookworms.
- Finishing Each Other's Sentences: His two heads often do this whenever they aren't too busy arguing with each other.
- Meaningful Name: "Stereo" is a sound projected through two speakers befitting how he's an alien with two heads.
- Multiple Head Case: Stereo is two-headed, and said two heads bicker occasionally. Exaggerated to hell and back in his appearances in the second season, where they can't go a full minute without arguing.
- Omniglot: In "Venus Junior", they are revealed to be able to speak over 7 million languages.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Though all the aliens' human outfits are this to an extent, none of Stereo's disguises hide his extra head, a tell-tale sign that he's an alien.
- Put on a Bus: They're inexplicably absent in the second season, due to the fact that Xilam wrote them off as "weak characters". However, they do manage to show up in two episodes afterwards, revealing that they weren't completely forgotten.
- Identical Twin ID Tag: The only way to distinguish the heads is via their voices.
