Shinken Wakizashi

Go To

Shinken Girls who wield Wakizashi. Although they have the same number of encounters as the tantou, their stats are slightly higher. They also have a slightly higher heat.

They can be used to kill fast enemies, or placed at the back of the line to finish off enemies that the frontline has failed to kill. However, they are not suitable for direct fights with bosses.

     Namazuo Fukura

A small Shinken Girl from a good family. Having been forced to evacuate her home, she is extremely scared and breaks into a cold sweat and trembles whenever something happens.

  • Making a Splash: She carries around a gourd filled with water that can take the shape of catfish-like creatures, which assist her in battle.
  • Overly Nervous Flop Sweat: She's prone to sweating due to being terrified of everything. Most of her voiced dialogue has her commenting on her tendency to sweat when she's nervous.

     Sadamune Monoyo
Characters in Shinken Wakizashi
A Shinken Girl who likes children and cute things. She is a young lady from Nagoya, has high communication skills, and is popular in her group for her coquettish charms.

Her talent for attracting things was recognized by Monoyoshi Sadamune, which bonded with her and allowed her to become a Shinken Girl.

  • Born Lucky: She alludes to how lucky she is in a number of her voice-overs. This is likely due to her bond with the tantou Monoyoshi Sadamune, famous for being a lucky sword.

     Aoe Nika

A Shinken Girl with a lovely smile. She feels self-conscious about her childish appearance. She wears a large uniform and measures her height every day, always preparing to become an adult. She forms a bond with Nikkari Aoe, who resonates with her strong inner feelings.

  • Anime Hair: While most of her hair looks normal, she has two large, flat hair antennae that change shape with her mood.
  • Expressive Hair: Her hair antennae change shape depending on her emotions, taking the shape of cartoon lightning when she's shocked and forming a heart at High Affection.
  • Handicapped Badass: She became wheelchair-bound after being struck by lightning, but it doesn't hinder her duties as a Shinken Girl.
  • Irony: Not only did her crippling accident involving being struck by lightning lead to her bonding with a sword associated with lightning, but she also gained lightning-based powers from said sword.
  • The Pollyanna: Despite being paralyzed by a lightning strike, she maintains a positive, cheerful, and hopeful attitude.

     Shuso Nozomi
A selfish Shinken Girl with a penchant for the occult. She talks about the fate of her past life, but it is unclear how serious she is from her exaggerated behavior.

Perhaps drawn by the red thread of fate, she is bonded to the wakizashi Nozomi Shusa.

  • Cloudcuckoolander: A possible interpretation of her character given how passionate she is about her visions of her supposed past life.
  • Gothic Lolita: Her uniform draws some inspiration from his style while still keeping it recognizable as, well, a school uniform.
  • Reincarnation: A number of her voice-overs have her claiming that she can see into the past lives of others, but no one knows if she's telling the truth or just being eccentric.
  • Reincarnation Romance: At High Affection, Nozomi will claim that she and the player were lovers in a past life, but it's dubious if she's telling the truth, given that another piece of dialogue has her say that she couldn't see the player in her past life.

     Kashagiri Hiromi

A slightly mischievous Shinken Girl. She has an easy-going personality, but once she gets fired up, she has a tendency to burst into flames. Perhaps she wants to make herself look bigger by telling tales of heroism whose authenticity is unknown.
