Nerd Action Hero: Her idea of using her magic for fun is either performing science experiments on it, or using magical portals to go visit her favorite bookstore. She becomes her world's primary defender.
Evil Mentor: Not immediately obvious, but in the "present day" of Eriko's imprisonment, she's apparently taken to calling her the "Pink Bitch in the Sky".
Bald of Evil: His human form isn't usually described in detail, but at least once, he goes bald.
Waking Non Sequitur: After Soul beats him, the first thing on his mind is the last thing Soul said to him.

Affably Evil: He's usually very polite and articulate, anyway... although there are indications that it may just be part of the show.
A Pupil of Mine Until He Turned to Evil: The story goes that he was a part of of Queen Aurora's "Defenders" — and there's reason to wonder if that was even necessary, but one thing at a time — "neutralizing" dangerous magic users before going rogue and becoming one of the most dangerous ones of all.
