"I am a monster, created by this corrupt world."

Kurokochōhime, also known as the Queen of Rolitania, keeps her country under a strict watch. In addition to being an inventor and quirky ruler, she also is an Otaku, herself.

  • Berserk Button:
    • Do 'NOT attempt to mug Sam.
    • Do NOT point guns at Sam.
  • Cute and Psycho: In addition to simply looking the part of a cute heroine, she has convinced her class of her overall cuteness as well. But behind the adorable exterior is a hardened soldier who has no qualms about execution.

  • Determined Widow: After a minor Heroic BSoD, she discovered the secret to time travel, went back in time, created her own country, and obsessively looks after her "husband".
  • Name That Unfolds Like Lotus Blossom: Kurokochohime, which means, "The Black Butterfly Princess", which is an allusion in itself to her status within the country.
  • Older Than They Look: Mental age is thirty-five. Physical age is sixteen.
  • Sociopathic Hero: The only reason she does anything heroic is to save Samuel or her friends. Other than that she has no qualms about beating people up, or even making them explode with her mind.
  • Try to Fit THAT on a Business Card!: Kurokochōhime, Queen of Rolitania, The Black Butterfly, Queen of the Sky, and Electric Miracle.

Samuel Stevens

"I...I think you have Chuunibyou, then, if that’s what you believe."

Samuel Stevens is the typical Rolitanian Citizen. Somehow, though, he seems to be one of the most important people in the country. He was, breifly, a NEET, and loves anime and manga.

  • Adorkable: In his own dorkish, awkward way, he is quite charming. His good looks helps with that.
  • Berserk Button: He remembers who Kuro is. This Esper has nearly killed her. It doesn't end well.
  • BFS: His weapon of choice in either timeline is a huge sword that is named "The Dancer's Blade".
  • Covert Pervert: He has a thing for sniffing the hair of sleeping girls.
  • Dogged Nice Guy: For Clara, before the story began.
  • Driven to Suicide:
  • Esper Powers: Along with the standard set of telekinesis and minimal teleportation, he has a special ability called "Reality Breaker".

  • Morality Pet: To Kuro.
  • Protectorate: Often he is saved by Kuro, as it is her main goal, but this has been inverted twice.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: He's the more reserved of the Stevens twins. His sister is the firecracker who has tons of followers.
  • Super Soldier: Sam from the future. His whole platoon was enhanced significantly, but he was by far the most powerful.

Jessie Renton

"She'll kill for you, k'ynow. Please stop her from doing so if you can."''

Jessie Renton is the Chief of the Rolitanian Public Safety and Police Department. She traveled back in time with Kurokochōhime in order to help her fix the timeline. Serious but playful, she tries to keep The Queen under control and emotionally stable.

  • The Caretaker: She looks after Kuro, and watches out for her mental health.
  • Ms.Exposition: Explains little details to Samuel about Espers and Rolitania that he otherwise wouldn't know. She shares this role with Kuro.
