Main Characters

     Snow White, "Red Shoes"
Voiced by: Chloë Grace Moretz (English); Baby K (Italian)
A princess in search of her missing father, and happens to stumble across her step-mother's tree with the red shoes and wears them, leading to her being chased as she continues her mission.

  • Action Girl: She takes situations into her own hands, and even slugs Prince Average in the face when he refuses to let go of her.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Merlin calls her "Red".
  • Armor-Piercing Question: When she takes off her shoes and reveals her true self to Merlin, he asks her why she didn't tell them at the beginning that she was under a curse.
Red Shoes: If I had given up their magic, you wouldn't have helped me find my father, would you?
    Merlin: Well...
    Red Shoes: Would you?
  • Adaptational Nationality: German in the original story, Korean in this version.
  • Beauty Equals Goodness: She's very beautiful, both in her slender and original forms, and she's kindhearted and caring.
  • Big Beautiful Woman: Her original self is this, and she's happy with her body.
  • Daddy's Girl: She loves her father, and his disappearance is the entire reason she's searching for him.
  • Fat and Proud: She's fine with the way she looks. In the end, she decides to keep her body as it normally is and not bother using the shoes. It is possible the shoes stopped working, just like all the other fruit of Regina's magic.
  • Genre Savvy: She's very aware that people would judge her based on her looks and only help if she wears the shoes and looks conventionally beautiful. She also asks Merlin if he would have helped her in her original form if she never came upon the shoes, to which he's flustered in giving a response.
  • Nice Girl: Snow White is very kindhearted, loving, caring and levelheaded.
  • Only the Chosen May Wield: As an easy demonstration of her character, she effortlessly pulls Excalibur from its stone, whose inscription says only the noble and truthful can do.
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Well, she is Snow White. Unlike most versions, her hair is more brown than black.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: She's the only one who cares (and is able to do something) about what caused her father's disappearance. This is how she came upon the red shoes.
  • Stout Strength: One of the things she likes about herself is that she's very strong. She says she can bench 250 and she does manage to move a large boulder off of Merlin's body when he's pinned underwater.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: She got her looks from her father.

     Merlin
Voiced by: Sam Claflin (English)
One of the Fearless Seven, who is desperate to break the curse to get back to his original handsome self. Amongst the group, he's a spell caster.

  • Appearance Angst: Complains about the curse the most.
Green is like an ogre. Blue or yellow would've made us look cute and cuddly.
  • Character Development: He spends the first half of the movie doing whatever he can to get back to normal, as he feels that he's not himself if he isn't handsome. When Snow White even asks him if he would have helped her if she weren't wearing the shoes, he pauses and later on has an internal argument with himself on how he shouldn't judge her based on her looks alone. He spends the rest of the movie learning to love himself and realizing his growing feelings towards Snow White and not her Red Shoes form. In the final fight of the movie, he chooses to sacrifice himself in order to help Snow White, even if it means he'll never get his original body back. After she kisses him and breaks the curse, he has come to appreciate Snow White for her beauty within, not surface-level beauty.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He wants to turn back to his original self for selfish reasons, but he is very kind as when he ran into Snow White in her original form. He helps her out and cautions her to get home safe before leaving.
  • Logical Weakness: Merlin needs to clap his hands in order to use his lightning magic. So if one of his arms is incapacitated, he's pretty weak.
  • Paper Talisman: What he uses in his spells.
  • Proud Beauty: He's handsome and he knows it. So he's desperate to lift the curse and return to his original self and not his "ugly" dwarf form.
  • Shock and Awe: The kind of magic he performs is mainly lightning-based.
  • Squishy Wizard: He's incredibly powerful in terms of magical abilities, but in terms of physical strength, he's the opposite.
  • Time for Plan B: When Prince Average's soldiers outnumber the group Merlin uses one of their cannonballs; this leads to the fall of Seven's front house wall but the defeat of Prince Average.

Fearless Seven (F7)

     Arthur
Voiced by: Simon Kassianides (English)
The muscle of the group, Arthur is hard to keep down even with his dwarf curse.

  • Character Development: His first attempts to flirt with Red shoes are douchey and shallow though after time he does grow to genuinely like and respect her. During the credits, he meets a red riding hood that turns out to be a werewolf under the full moon. He still tries to court her.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: As his name implies, he wields a sword.
  • Lovable Jock: He's brash and brutish but at the end of the day he's a loyal buddy.
  • Old Friend: Merlin and Arthur bicker the most of the group and seem to know one another's habits very well.
  • Oop North: Has a Yorkish accent.
  • The Strength of Ten Men: While Jack, Merlin, and Hans struggle together on one side of a rope, Arthur lifts them effortlessly with one arm.

     Pino, Noki, Kio
Voiced by: Frank Todaro (English)
Three brothers who build gadgets together.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tripelts.PNG

  • The Dividual: Compared to the rest of the seven they're given little distinguishing characteristics amongst themselves and seem to be a set of triplets mostly just to round out the group.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Invented a mecha made of wood with a working jetpack, a combination camera and copy machine and in the end credits apparently an entire DJ setup.
  • Gratuitous Italian / Rambunctious Italian: With their Pinocchio theme. Also they self congratulate themselves.
  • Happy Ending: In the end credits the triplets are still dwarfs but seem perfectly fine continuing their experiments and research.
  • Identical Twin ID Tag: They all wear the same kind of hat but it has a different number of bands on the front to distinguish them.
  • Low Culture, High Tech: The society seems to be at a vaguely medieval level but they seem to be the greatest source of technological advancement. As seen above, they name their invention:
    Pino: I call it a Post-Portrait!
Noki: I call it the Duplicatortron!
    Kio: I call it Selfie!
  • Same-Sex Triplets: They're all male.

     Jack
Voiced by: Frederik Hamel (English)

  • Accent Adaptation: Hans has a German accent, in respect to his "Hansel& Gretel" roots.
  • Chef of Iron: He's the chef of the group and a hero of renown.
  • Frying Pan of Doom: His shield is a wok pan with a handle that folds in. He sometimes has the handle folded out to use it as a bludgeon.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: His main weapon is a shield, which reflects his protective nature towards the others.
  • Supreme Chef: His cooking is so good the smell of it inadvertently awoke a sleeping beauty from her cursed slumber in the credits.
  • Sweet Baker: He bakes a lot and is incredibly kind to those around him, even making a batch of doughnuts for Red Shoes when they find her.

Antagonists

     Queen Regina
Voiced by: Gina Gershon (English)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/regina_7.jpg
Snow White's stepmother who grows an apple tree that gives her the red shoes that would make her youthful eternally. When Snow White unwittingly takes them, she sets off to hunt the girl who took her treasure.

     Magic Mirror
Voiced by: Patrick Warburton
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/magic_mirror.jpg
A magically enchanted mirror who scans the land for Snow White and gives Regina intel.
  • Adaptational Badass: Here, he can control the branches of a tree and use them to attack.
  • Adaptational Villainy: In the original story, he was a neutral party. Here, he's not only Regina's willing assistant who has helped her kill many subjects in the latter's quest for eternal youth but is also a sadist who actively takes joy in mocking Merlin that Snow White will be killed.
  • The Dragon: Regina's loyal top servant who provides her with intel.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: His name. Though it's apparently a shortening of Magichard Mirror.
  • Magic Mirror: This is exactly what he is. Well, he claims it's just his name, Magic is apparently short for "Magichard".
  • Servile Snarker: He loyally obeys Regina but doesn't hesitate to crack jokes at her expense.
  • When Trees Attack: He's mounted in the branches of a barren tree whose roots have spread throughout the entire castle. He can freely move these roots to attack.

     Prince Average
Voiced by: Jim Rash
A bratty and sneering prince Regina enlists to capture Red Shoes.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/average_5.PNG
"Is it dwarfs with an F or dwarves with a V? I want to know what's more offensive."

  • Dumb Blonde: He is very kooky, and has blonde hair.
  • Forced Transformation: In the credits he's fished out of the water by the same fairy princess that cursed the F7, and his similar reaction to her incites her to inflict the same curse on him as well.
  • Funny Foreigner: He has a stereotypically French appearance and accent.
  • Karmic Transformation: In the end credits he is found by the fairy princess after she fishes him out of the lake and treats her with disdain, leading to her immediately transforming him into a green dwarf in retaliation.
  • Pronouncing My Name for You: As he'll say to everyone who mispronounces it, his name is "Av-Ooh-Raj".
  • Skewed Priorities: When he tells his soldiers to capture Red Shoes, they fire at her with cannons and he asks for a time-out and drags them off to scold them.
Prince Average: And she can't come to my party if you blow her up!
    Soldier: Uh, sorry sir.
Prince Average: Alright, time back in.
  • Spoiled Brat: He always wants something and gets annoyed when other's are obviously ignoring him.
