Beings of Remnant

Not everyone who has walked the face of Remnant has been human. Some of them are gods, some have been gods, and some have been created by the gods themselves.

    The Two Brothers

    The Two Sisters

Aavistus Nox, The Son of the Dragon

Aavistus Nox

Debut: Chapter 83: Towards a Darker Tomorrow (mentioned)

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: His personal weapon, Schwarz Gladio can cut through virtually anything like a hot knife through butter.
  • Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: He forms such a pair with the Daughter of the Phoenix.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: Throws down an epic "The Reason You Suck" Speech at his father before leaving the dark gods.
  • Challenge Seeker: Being created by his father for the purpose of fighting, he undoubtedly was this at first.
  • Dating What Daddy Hates: He fell deeply in love with the Daughter of the Phoenix, the firstborn daughter of the light gods.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Certainly has shades of this.
  • Defector from Decadence: Disgusted with the his father's (who is also the God of Darkness) hypocrisy and hubris, he left after realizing that the war between the light and dark gods was essentially an endless sequence of meaningless battles.
  • Hates Their Parent: His father, the God of Darkness, never loved him and saw him as nothing more than a tool and a weapon. Hence the feeling's mutual.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: Wields a long black sword that was crafted from pure darkness itself, named Schwarz Gladio.
  • Horned Humanoid: Has curling Dragon horns on his head.
  • I Have Many Names: He has quite a few, of those known...
    • The Prodigal Son
    • The Son of Death
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: The God of Darkness created Aavistus simply to fight his wars for him, and was a distant and uncaring father at best.
  • Entropy and Chaos Magic: Mentioned to be among of his abilities.
  • Meaningful Name: Aavistus is Finnish for "Shadow", and Nox is Latin for "Night".
    • His weapon is named Schwarz Gladio, the former word meaning German for "Darkness", and the latter word meaning Latin for "Sword". In short, Sword of Darkness.
  • Shapeshifting: Just like his namesake, Aavistus can become a literal western-style dragon like the God of Darkness.
  • Slasher Smile: When faced with a particularly strong opponent, he does have such an expression on his face.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: He may seem dark and brooding at times, but then again very few individuals get to know the Son of the Dragon personally.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: With the Daughter of the Phoenix.
  • Tall, Dark, and Handsome: His description most definitely is this.
  • The Sacred Darkness: Became this when he left the dark gods.
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: Having never been loved by anyone in his entire existence, he can be somewhat awkward when falling in love with Solaris.
  • Winged Humanoid: Has a pair of huge dragon-like wings.

  • Beauty Equals Goodness: She's heartstoppingly gorgeous, as benefiting a goddess. And she's benevolent, caring and empathetic to others.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's kind, and has a good heart, but don't let that gentle outlook deceive you. She's still more than capable of defending herself adequately or in dangerous cases, attacking brutally when the situation demands it of her.
  • Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: She forms such a pair with the Son of the Dragon.
  • Dating What Daddy Hates: She fell deeply in love with the Son of the Dragon, the firstborn son of the dark gods.
  • Ethereal White Dress: Wears one when in her god form, showing her purity.
  • Healing Hands: One of her mentioned abilities.
  • Hand Blast: She's fully capable of blasting balls of light energy from her open hands.
  • Holy Hand Grenade: Her powers can literally wipe out the creations of the dark gods, including the Grimm.
  • Impossibly Cool Clothes: Her flowing gown was apparently woven from strands of pure aether energy.
  • Impossible Hourglass Figure: As a goddess she undoubtedly possessed one, but was downplayed.
  • Lady of War: When she fights, let's just say her opponents regret pushing her over the edge.
  • Light Is Good: Often mentioned to be the "Lightborn".
  • Magical Eye: Her eyes are of the brightest silver, which is a trait she inherited from her father, The God of Light.
  • Magical Barefooter: She's barefooted as a goddess, and was never seen wearing any footwear.
  • Meaningful Name: Solaris is Latin for "pertaining to the Sun", Argint is Romanian for "Silver".
    • Her weapon is named Centro Lux, the former word meaning Spanish for "Scepter" and the latter word meaning Latin for "Light". In short, Scepter of Light.
  • Mix-and-Match Weapon: She's proficient in quite a few weapons, but personally prefers her personal staff spear/scepter hybrid, Centro Lux which was forged from the light of a dying star.
  • Psychoactive Powers: She dims when she's sad, bursts into scorching flames when she's angry, and shines blindingly bright when she's happy or in love.
  • Reluctant Warrior: She only fights when it's the last resort she has.
  • Shapeshifting: Just like her namesake, Solaris can change into a brightly glowing phoenix.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: With the Son of the Dragon.
  • Winged Humanoid: One of her adopted forms is this, and has a pair of huge angelic-looking phoenix wings.
  • World's Most Beautiful Woman: She's the firstborn daughter of the Remnant gods, and was said to move mortals to tears at her sheer appearance.

  • Ancient Evil: Is stated to be centillions of years old.
  • Eldritch Abomination: From what has been hinted of its existence, The Darkness is most definitely this.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Incredibly deep.
  • Evil Virtues: Patience. It's willing to wait for however long it has to.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Is responsible for the destruction of the world that was, and thus the fact that Remnant even exists. Now it wants to finish the job.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Tells Salem that there are times to give harsh punishments and times to be lenient.
  • The Man Behind the Man: Heavily implied to be who Salem (and the other Grimm Mistresses before her) answers to.
  • Voice of the Legion: Speaks to Salem in the voices of several familiar and unfamiliar people to her.
