    MacReady

MacReady

Portrayed By: Justice Leak

A preacher in the frontier town of Ratwater.

  • Composite Character: In the comic, McCready was the leader of a gang of thugs, one of whom was an ex-preacher. In the show, MacReady is the (decidedly thuggish) preacher of a frontier town.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Jesse Custer. Both are "men of God", but while Jesse, despite his faults, is at his core a decent, heroic person who generally wants to do what's right and help his fellow man, Macready is debased, violent scum who encourages the evil around him to flourish. Macready is a big reason why The Saint Of Killers hates Jesse and has no problem hunting him down to kill him.
  • Kick the Dog: He shoots the Cowboy's horse out of spite.
  • Sinister Minister: He's a vulgar, sadistic piece of work who presides over a town of monstrous people.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: His shooting of the Cowboy's horse is what delays the Cowboy's return to his family, leading to their deaths from sickness and the plethora of bad, bad things that follow.

    Carlos

Carlos

Portrayed By: Desmin Borges

Jesse and Tulip's former criminal associate, who they both seek vengeance against for screwing them over during a bank robbery.

  • Green-Eyed Monster: Was jealous of the love Jesse and Tulip had for each other, so he purposely sicked the bank guards against them which resulted in Tulip having a miscarriage.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Jesse and Tulip administer one to him offscreen, despite them giving him weapons.

    Mike

Mike

"Well, parishioners need help with their urges. Drugs, sex, Twitter..."
Portrayed By: Glenn Morshower

A preacher friend of Jesse's, whom the trio meet up with looking for clues to where God may have gone off to.

  • Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu?: Knows full well who and what The Saint of Killers is, but still refuses to tell him where Jesse and crew are going, opting to grossly insult him instead.
  • Face Death with Dignity: When he sees the Saint of Killers coming for him, rather than try to run or fight, he sits down, pours a glass of whiskey for himself and the Saint, and after a short talk stabs himself in the heart rather than give up his friend's whereabouts.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Kills himself rather than chance The Saint making him give up Jesse's whereabouts.
  • Sinister Minister: Subverted. He has a girl locked in a covered cage in his garage begging to be let out, but it turns out he's trying to help her with a social media addiction. While Tulip and Cassidy are still creeped out, Jesse seems used to it, and the girl seems to only want out of the cage so she can take Instagram selfies.
  • There Was a Door: Mike chides The Saint for breaking his door...and his dog.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Or rather, what happened to the girl (Ashleigh) in the giant mouse cage? Did The Saint kill her after killing Mike for good measure? Or did she just remain in the cage, unable to escape, until she starved to death?

    Kamal

Kamal

A bartender near the Grail's fortress.

    Steve

Steve

Portrayed By: Ditch Davey

A pilot who Jesse gets to help him get to Australia.

  • An Arm and a Leg: because Jesse commanded him not to feel pain, he loses his hand after getting it bit off by a shark while stranded in the ocean.
  • Character Death: Dies in a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean, after the plane he's flying crashes during a storm.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: When Jesse doesn't want to go and save a young boy from a pedophile, Steve calls him out on it, then goes to save him himself.

    Jesus De Sade

Jesus De Sade

Portrayed By: James Smithers

The owner of a fetish house and child prostitution ring in the middle-east.

  • Death by Adaptation: He gets stomped to death by Jesse, when the worst he did to him in the source material was rough him up.
  • Demoted to Extra: Only has a couple of lines and is killed after only a couple of scenes, while he has more development in the comic.
  • Pædo Hunt: As in the source material, Jesus de Sade faces Jesse's wrath for his willingness to sexually exploit children.

    Chunt Brothers

Chunt Brothers

Portrayed By: Cam Goodall (Karl Chunt), Rob Brown (Ernie Chunt), Adam Willson (Cyrus Chunt)

Three brothers; Karl, Ernie, and Cyrus. They all live in a disused silver mine in Australia.

  • Adaptation Deviation: From Monument Valley in the comics, in Australia here.
  • Villainous Rescue: Save Herr Starr after he loses his genitals to a Dingo, but turn out to be cannibals who cut off his leg and feed it to him.
