    Princess Eutropia Stavian 
Race: Human (Taldan)
Class: Aristocrat / Swashbuckler
Alignment: Neutral Good

  • Antagonistic Offspring: Her father Stavian III considers her as such and wrongly believes that she wants to murder and usurp him.
  • Back from the Dead: Towards the end of the story, she is murdered by assassins working for the Immaculate Circle. The player characters' goal is to bring her back to life.
  • Benevolent Boss: She is honestly concerned about Taldor's problems, and her staff is happy to work for her.
  • Big Good: She's the player characters' patron for this adventure path, and a vocal advocate for greater civil rights in Taldor.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: She's a virtuous leader and she has a faithful dog named Taldogis.
  • Politically-Active Princess: Eutropia takes an active interest in her country's problems and wants to try and solve them.
  • Rebellious Princess: As a youth, her troublesome behavior scandalized Taldan nobility and her father, and was often involved in duels.
  • Royal Rapier: She keeps a magical rapier with herself and knows how to use it.
  • Silk Hiding Steel: A charming and polite young woman with an iron will, and a capable swordswoman in her own right.

Class: Conjurer
Alignment: Neutral Evil

  • Age Without Youth: He became immortal when he was already an old man.
  • Big Bad: He's the leader of the Immaculate Circle, the evil secret society who rules Taldor from the shadows, and he's ultimately responsible for most (but not all) the troubles that the player characters face.
  • Deal with the Devil: He managed to escape death thanks to a pact with the sahkil tormentor Thassritoum.
  • Immortality Immorality: Panivar has done some truly reprehensible things in order to escape his mortality.
  • Omniscient Council of Vagueness: The leader of one - the Immaculate Circle, a group of evil nobles who rule Taldor from behind the scenes
  • Touched by Vorlons: His immortality is due to the fact that Thassritoum is shielding his soul from the psycopomps' notice.
