Acarno Brani

The protagonist. Acarno is a newcomer to East Edge, looking to become the best Junk Blade racer. Originally only in it for the money, Acarno comes around and becomes a reluctant hero.


  • Chosen One: At least from Dr. Hull's perspective.
  • Anime Hair: Just look at the picture.
  • Expy: A blonde anime haired young man, who rides motorcycles, is a hero only in it for the money until his character arc kicks in, and works to fight an evil corporation in a cyberpunk city. He just a BFS away from being Cloud Strife.
  • Reluctant Hero

Doctor Raz Karcy

Biiiiipooooo.

The main character of the first game. Now he's Scottish, the owner of a bar in East Edge, and the leader of the group for the first act. All the while being a possible clone of the real Raz.


  • Cool Old Guy
  • Chivalrous Pervert: Navarro accuses Raz of being one, saying he only recruited Chris due to her skirt.
  • Multiple-Choice Past: His recounting of the events of the first Overblood are incredibly off from what actually happened. He describes events as if he were the original Doctor Raz Karcy even though the Clone Raz that the character plays as is the one who makes it out alive. His role in this game also relies on him still having the scientific skill that Doctor Raz had when Clone Raz was explicitly said to have no memories and is shown to be of average intelligence.
  • Took a Level in Badass: In the first game Raz was easily panicked and often pushed around by the most basic of enemies. Now while never going into the field, he much more competent as a leader and strategist for the first act.

Agent Chris Lanebecca

A member of East Edge's secret service the ITP, she is originally drawn into the conspiracy after having to tail Veltor, but when things get out of hand and she meets Raz, she agrees to work with the group to end the conspiracy and the corruption at the ITP.


Doctor Navarro Jean

The owner of Billboard island and an ex scientist who worked with Raz and Veltor 20 years prior.


  • Expy: Navarro is one bald spot away from Dr. Wily.

Doctor Veltor Curtis

Kim Hosaka AKA Ryuichi Hayano

The leader of the group following Episode 3 as well as being the ace, but has a mysterious past. This is because he's a clone, the rightful heir to Hayano Industry, and the founder of the Children of the Earth


  • The Ace: Hosaka is a talented Junk Blade racer, pilot, fighter, and smooth talker. The only thing he admits to being bad at? Dancing. He's also not a fan of heights.
  • Daddy Issues: His dad and him hated each other so much, He has his son disowned and cloned
  • Happily Adopted: By Doctor Misako Hosaka.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: He gives a good one to the group before taking control in the end of Episode 3.

Doctor Marius "Hull" Klamis

The doctor who invented the Hull drive and soon after disappeared. She's later found comatose in Episode 6 and is there to explain the Travelers and fix the Hill Drive
  • Deal with the Devil: Wanting to continue her work on the Hill Drive she struck a deal with Hayano Industries.

Ryuichi Hayano

The ruler of East Edge through his massive corrupt corporation. He's also a clone


Kondo

The head of security for Hayano Industry and their go to for dirty work. He's also a mutant giving him strange powers and stranger transformation.


Zeno Rasul

The mad scientist for Hayano industries. First encountered in Episode 3, he grows as a threat as the game continues.


  • Ambition Is Evil: Very ambitious as the game goes on, very evil.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: And how. He starts the game as Hayano's top scientist. He ends the game as the final boss and the original titular Overblood.
  • Ken Doll Anatomy: His last monologue is given spread eagle and completely naked. There is nothing in between his legs however, a possible side affect from his mutation
  • Humanoid Abomination: He turns into a massive one after purposely infecting himself with a virus to become an all powerful Overblood.
  • Mad Scientist: Without a doubt.

Sperio

A boss at the end of Episode 3. A security officer for the underground labs.


  • Foil: To Acarno. A blonde spikey haired young man who rides a Junk Blade. However he's working for the evil corporations, unlike Acarno who is doing the right thing instead.

Conrad Lawson.

The head Secretary for the Ministry of National Defense.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Starting as a bad guy who planned on abandoning the doomed Earth with Hayano on board the Meridian, he eventually renounces his corrupt ways and works on bettering the Earth through recycling and water purification processes
  • Large Ham: Surprisingly he's probably the biggest in the game.

The boss of Episode 4. Nicknamed Shakespeare by Acarno.

Adidi Brago

The obese warden of Jamelgalda

Tempest

The massive abomination cyborg creature that guards the Shangri-la for Zeno.

Siver Otakki

A strange and mysterious man who asks trivia questions and hands out rewards for the right answer after every Episode.


  • Superboss: The toughest boss in the game hidden on a roof in Episode 6.

Chief Engineer

A homeless man on the wharf who asks for money. When given 50k credits, he gives information relating to the current objective.


Snooper

A robot made by Raz to find the best spot to place a bomb in the underground lab featured in Episode 3.

  • The Cameo: After finishing his Episode he's only found outside the church and is only there to tell you how many points you've accumulated.

  • Expy: Of Bipo from the first game.

Figaro

A drunk treasure hunter found passed out in a bar


Karen

A double agent inside of Hayano Industry for Hosaka. She's also a great dancer.

  • The Mole: She infiltrates Hayano industries for Hosaka.
  • Ship Tease: Shows a mutual attraction to Acarno.
  • Whatever Happened to the Mouse?: After Acarno and Hosaka are discovered to be agents and chased by gunpoint, she's left behind with no information as to what happened to her.

Cracker

The leader of the orphans Acarno stumbles across during Episode 6.

Booster

An orphan Acarno meets and is scammed by during the intro to Episode 6.
