The second batch of Nijisanji livers, these members were recruited via auditions shortly after the first wave became popular. Together the first wave and second wave made up the "original" Nijisanji livers, considered a separate group from Gamers and SEEDs until the integration at the end of 2018.

• Alice Allusion: There's a clear Alice in Wonderland theme going on with her character.
• Animal Motifs: She's themed after rabbits, to go with the Alice in Wonderland theme. Her massive ribbon is meant to resemble a pair of rabbit ears; they even move around on their own. She also wears rabbit-themed clothing in many of her alternate costumes.
• ASMR Video: She frequently does ASMR streams.
• But Not Too Foreign: Her official character description states that her mother is British while her father is Japanese, and that she was born and raised in Japan.
• Fairytale Motifs: Alice in Wonderland, naturally.
• Gratuitous English: She likes to act like a foreigner and often peppers her speech in English, despite knowing little of it.

• The Ageless: Averted. While many livers choose to keep their characters' age static, Mugi is one of the few that chose not to. This is lampshaded when she visited Kenmochi Touya's birthday stream and points out that they're now both 16 years old and that she's now actually older than him.
• Hikikomori: She can hole herself up in her house for weeks at a time. Eventually this led to her repeating a year before finally moving on to high school.

• Incorruptible Pure Pureness: Subverted, as Kenmochi notes that her hanging around the Beautiful Girls Club is making Utako's filterless depravity rub off on her. She shrugs it off.
• Token Mini-Moe: In her child form, Kazaki is this, much to Kenmochi Touya's delight and her chagrin. It's especially comical when in a 3D stream, as she has a special, hilariously tiny model for such occasions - as demonstrated in her attempt at intimidating Gibara for essentially leaving her for dead and running off on her own in a VR horror collab where she was the one with the headset on, but Gibara had the controls.

• Gratuitous English: She hosted an English introduction stream for overseas viewers. As you would expect, she spent less time actually introducing herself and more time talking about her yaoi fetishes.
• Lovable Sex Maniac: Utako is known for being a massive pervert on the internet, and makes lewd jokes extremely frequently in her videos (mainly related to Yaoi, but also other sex-related topics too). That said, her perversion is mainly of the otaku kind, and it doesn't appear she has much experience with actual sex.
• Yaoi Fangirl: Utako is an extremely big fan of Yaoi, having a whole history of yaoi activities on the internet. In one of her videos, she reveals her purchase history on a Japanese ero-doujinshi site called FANZA; said list consists almost exclusively of Yaoi works and is minutes long.

• Comedic Lolicon: He is completely shameless about his love of lolis, which has led to many jokes, such as the "Loli Certification Test" (when a loli receives a superchat from Kenmochi).
• Flipping the Bird:
  • During the stream unveiling his new 3D model in August 2019, after he's had enough of the staff messing around with his model he raises his middle finger and punches the camera.
  • He has an image of a hand with its middle finger raised that he uses occasionally on stream.
  • It's said he's part of the reason why Niji3D now has a function to prevent raising one's middle finger... and he's been teaching other livers a way to circumvent it.
• Hidden Depths: Despite the amount of fooling around he does, when he talks seriously he can get quite philosophical.
• Joke Character: His team, the Koku Academy as a whole, was easily the worst team of the NIJISANJI Koshien 2023. Everyone who looked at his team could see how underdeveloped his players were, with Amamiya being the only consistently reliable player in his team and even she was not without her flaws. Coach Kenmochi himself was fully aware of this during his pre-tournament interview. Coach Shiina even laughed at the thought of facing his team during her pre-tournament interview. In the end, the Koku Academy placed dead last in the tournament without winning a single match. Given that his team had the likes of Kuroi Shiba, Tamaki and Gilzaren in it, it's not surprising.
• Meaningful Name: Somewhat translates to "Sword-Wielding Bladesman" in English. It also lampshades how he's always carrying his kendo sword with him.
• Ordinary High-School Student: He's a second-year high school student who is part of the kendo club.
• Ship Tease: With Gaku, with their ship name being "Togabito".
• Spell My Name With An S: The official website uses Toya. The English-speaking fandom generally ignores this and spells his name Touya.
• Sweet Tooth: As described by Yuika Shiina and Lize Helesta, during the 2020 Nijisanji Koshien whenever snack time came around he would request sweet foods such as cream puffs and pudding. Kenmochi claims that he just wanted sugar to keep his brain power up.
• Trademark Favorite Food: Him exclaiming "I want pudding" has become an iconic moment for him that he often gets teased about by his chat, colleagues and staff. Tamaki and staff try to goad him into saying "I want pudding" when they have multiple packs of premium pudding on hand. When Amamiya asks if he loves pudding that much, Kenmochi goes silent and ignores what she said.

• Attractive Bent-Gender: On April 1st, 2023, Gilko streamed on Gilzaren's channel. Unlike Gilzaren, Gilko has a normal skin color, and a young, slender, feminine body with a straight bob cut.
• The Ghost: He rarely streams. He does however frequently show up in the chats of other VTubers, both within Nijisanji and outside.
• Vocal Dissonance: His voice is more higher-pitched than his gruff and muscular appearance might imply, having a voice that sounds more fitting for a Bishounen avatar.

• Big-Breast Pride: In her 3D debut, she's proud to show off that her boobs are bigger than some of her colleagues (Mugi, Mito, Kaede).
• Boring, but Practical: She often streams with just her PNG, and thus only needs her voice to grab the audience's attention.
• Cat Girl: If it wasn't obvious from her appearance.
• Cloudcuckoolander: She has a reputation for being very hard to keep in check, and frequently does random stunts at a whim, such as ordering 2434 bags of potato chips and having them delivered to the office, roping in staff while playing Mario at the studio, making her manager stir natto for two hours, putting clothespins on her nipples for her 200,000 subscriber endurance stream (which ended in her having to go to the doctor) and announcing an endurance stream until Gilzaren reaches 100,000 subscribers when he had less than 90,000 — which succeeded. At two separate occasions, she mistakes Indonesia for India, and EN for Indonesia.
• Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": When she debuted she was only known as "Noraneko" (stray cat). She organised a Twitter poll in order to choose her current name, but people often still call her Noraneko and it's on her official profile alongside her current name.
• Eyes Always Shut: Downplayed, but her models are capable of making cat-like eyes.
• Heavy Sleeper: So much so that she slept for four hours without turning her stream off. Amusingly, she earned 250,000 yen in superchat donations while asleep, with most of the comments being some variation of "cute".
• Too Kinky to Torture: She celebrated her 200,000 subscriber milestone by putting clothespins on her nipples, and she seemed to enjoy it. The image she used had six clothespins on her body.
  Oh yes! Oooh...oh yes!
• Trademark Favorite Food: Naan. On multiple occasions she has baked naan on-stream, and her BGM is Indian-themed because of her love for naan.
