    Harrison Wells

Harrison Wells

The wheelchair-bound founder of S.T.A.R. Labs, a laboratory that produces some of the most advanced technology in the Western Hemisphere.

  • Adaptational Badass: Wells has a Quirk in this story.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul:
    • Wells never interacted with Harry and H.R. in The Flash (2014).
    • He also works with Barry Allen, something the original never did on account of dying years prior to the beginning of the show.
  • Ascended Extra: The original Harrison Wells was just a Posthumous Character, but this one is alive in present day.
  • Composite Character: He's the original Harrison Wells, but he's wheelchair bound, just like Eobard Thawne when he was disguised as Harrison Wells, and he formed the Council of Wells, something that was originally attributed to Harry Wells.
  • Contrived Coincidence: Despite not being Eobard Thawne in disguise, Wells is still in a wheelchair.
  • Disabled in the Adaptation: The original Wells wasn’t bound to a wheelchair before his death in The Flash (2014).
  • Genius Cripple: He's a brilliant scientist and uses a wheelchair to get around.
  • Identical Twin ID Tag: Harrison is differentiated from Harry and H.R. by his wheelchair.
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: Subverted. When Harrison Wells started S.T.A.R. Labs, many thought he was just doing so to nab some exclusive lucrative patents or conduct under-the-radar experiments on Quirk users and Metahumans. The truth was neither of these things. He just wanted to have the facilities necessary to promote the greater good, which oftentimes means lending the Flash Family a hand.
  • Omnidisciplinary Scientist: S.T.A.R. Labs makes laser cannons, plasma grenades, robots, and skeleton keys that can even hack into Kryptonian technology with enough time. It also makes things that can potentially end the world, but the Wells try to keep these under wraps.
  • Playing with Fire: His Quirk lets him project a small flame from his fingers.
  • Skilled, but Naive: Harrison Wells is an incredible scientist, but he also has a bleeding heart for his fellow man, which is why he bought Rudy Jones' sob story about not being able to buy a toy for his daughter's birthday. This of course, allowed Jones to let in a Villain who proceeded to bludgeon Wells into unconsciousness and make off with laser cannons, plasma grenades, assorted blueprints, and skeleton keys that can even hack into Kryptonian technology with enough time. Harry lampshades this when Harrison wakes up in the hospital ward.
Wells: I'm guessing you're mad at me, Harry.
Harry: What was your first clue?
Wells: Well, I have enough experience with being me to know what I look like when I'm mad. Being a version of me from an alternate reality means that there'll always be some little idiosyncrasies that we'll both share, no matter how different we may act.
Harry: Then you know that, just like you, I don't take kindly to people acting like idiots!
  • Spared by the Adaptation: In Arrowverse, he was murdered and had his identity stolen by Eobard Thawne. Here he actually gets to see S.T.A.R. Labs come to fruition.

Barry Allen - The Flash II

Wally West II - The Flash III

Wallace "Wally" West III - Kid Flash II

Wallace "Wally" West III - Kid Flash II

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wally_west_new_52.jpg

The heir to his cousin Wally's former mantle as Kid Flash, Wallace is a sidekick at his uncle Barry's Hero Agency. Coming from a similarly troubled home life as his cousin, Wallace got his powers by using a Speed Force battery to help his uncle and cousin stop his father, Daniel West, who had since become a new Reverse-Flash.

  • Ambiguous Situation: While the Justice Society side story heavily implies that Doctor Manhattan exists in this story, because the story is a Patchwork Fic that incorporates elements of multiple continuities, it's unknown if Wallace exists because of Doctor Manhattan's meddling or because he simply exists.
  • Battle Couple: With Doris, AKA Giganta.
  • Combo Platter Powers: He and his cousin Wally both have the power to create a wall out of anything they punch, be it the air, the ground, or other materials nearby in addition to their Super-Speed.
  • Cunning Linguist: He apparently speaks the best Japanese out of all the Flashes.
  • Legacy Character: He's the second Kid Flash and is raring to become a full Flash himself.
  • One-Steve Limit: Subverted. He and his cousin Wally have the same name (redhead Wally is Wally West II, while his cousin is Wally West III). Redhead Wally calls himself "Wally" while Wally III is referred to as "Wallace" to distinguish them.
  • Related in the Adaptation: In this story, Wallace is Barry's nephew, whereas in the comics, Barry and Iris haven't been married since the New 52's Cosmic Retcon.
    • Unrelated in the Adaptation: Downplayed with Iris. Iris is still Wallace's aunt, but this story uses her original origin of being an orphan sent back in time from the 30th. century, so the two aren't actually related by blood.
  • Rescue Romance: His relationship with Doris began after he rescued her from Gorilla Grodd.
  • Sickening Sweethearts: Described as this with his girlfriend, Doris.
  • Steven Ulysses Perhero: A guy with a Quirk that lets him create walls is named "Wally".
  • Super-Speed: While not quite as fast as his uncle or cousin, Wallace is still one of the fastest Heroes in the world.

    Doris Greystoke Zuel - Giganta

Doris Greystoke Zuel - Giganta

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/giganta_dcau.png

Once an ordinary gorilla on an African wildlife preserve, she was inadvertently turned into a human girl after she was forced to drink a concoction designed to make her an obedient slave. She's rescued by Wallace and ends up living with the Garricks now that she has nowhere else to go. In the present day, she's interning with Wallace at Barry and Wally's Hero agency.

  • Adaptational Heroism: Most versions of Giganta are crooks for hire, but here she's a sidekick for the Flash.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: Instead of being an enemy of Wonder Woman, Doris was an ordinary gorilla who was being experimented on by Gorilla Grodd, one of Barry's greatest foes.
  • Age Lift: This version of Giganta is just a teenager.
  • Genki Girl: She gets excited about pretty much everything, which Barry finds annoying but others find endearing.
  • Happily Adopted: By the Garricks.
  • Hidden Depths: While Doris might act like a goof most of the time, she can still offhandedly quote Martin Heidegger to try and make a point.
  • Humanity Ensues: The experiment meant to turn her into an obedient slave and Super-Soldier went awry when she threw a banana in the concoction, changing its makeup to the point that it turned her into a human teenage girl with the power to change her size at will.
  • My Instincts Are Showing: Despite her insistence that she's a "normal human girl", she still has her old gorilla instincts, trying to pick up and eat things with her feet.
  • Rescue Romance: Her relationship with Wallace began after he rescued her from Gorilla Grodd.
  • Shout-Out: Her middle name, Greystoke, is a reference to Tarzan’s birth name John Greystoke.
  • Sickening Sweethearts: Described as this with her boyfriend, Wallace.
  • Sizeshifter: She can grow to enormous heights thanks to the experiment that gave her human form.

New York

    Martin Stein

Martin Stein

Hisashi's boss in the United States and Izuku's godfather. He calls Hisashi while the latter is in the middle of his emergency vacation. Hisashi calls in the Professor's connections the same night in order to forge adoption papers for Izuku. Unbeknownst to Izuku, he's also one half of the superhero Firestorm.
  • Absent-Minded Professor: The Professor is quite excitable and immediately starts gushing over the thought of being named a godfather when Hisashi tries to start a family. Hisashi has to spell out his infertility for the Professor to realize why Hisashi was taking a vacation. The Professor then immediately apologizes for sticking his foot in his mouth. Despite this, he's a well-known scientist in the United States who is working on projects that can change the world.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: His skin is green and he has bolts in his neck like Frankenstein's.
  • Cool Old Guy: He's a little absent-minded, but he's also kind, warm, and understanding. He's also fully willing to use his connections to forge adoption papers for Izuku. Later on, he sees Izuku off on his first day at U.A. from a computer and reminds him to take notes in class and fly away from the DEO.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Hisashi (and by extension the narration) refer to him exclusively as "the Professor" in the first chapter. His real name first appears in Chapter 6, after which he's subsequently referred by his surname in addition to his title.
  • Non-Action Guy: He's a scientist working to change the world, but he isn't going to be punching Villains in the face. That's Hisashi's job when they're working as Firestorm.
  • Open Mouth, Insert Foot: He gushes about the idea of being named a godfather while Hisashi is trying to spell out his infertility.
Stein: And she's pregnant! Congratulations, Hisashi, my boy! You're going to be a great father, I just know it! Can I be the godfather? I've always wanted to be a godfather, Hisashi!
Hisashi: Yeah, well that's not going to happen, because we can't have any kids! [spits a stream of fire out of frustration]
Stein: Um, well, now that you've finished whatever that is and I've finished removing that foot from my mouth, allow me to apologize, again.
  • Punny Name: His surname is Stein and he resembles Frankenstein because of his Quirk.
  • Science Hero: He's a brilliant scientist who is working on things that can change the world. He's also one half of Firestorm, being Hisashi's adviser while the latter is doing the physical labor as Firestorm.
  • Secret-Keeper: He's one of the few people who know that Izuku's an alien.
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: It's implied that he is the one begging Hisashi not to go over the edge and kill the Ultra-Humanite for blasting Izuku off Mt. Fuji.

Other Areas

    Alexis Lois "Lexi" Luthor

    Mercy

    Wiktoria Fries

Wiktoria Fries

The granddaughter of Victor Fries, one of Batman's most prolific yet sympathetic rogues, and heir to Fries Financial. Wiktoria is a fabulously wealthy socialite who spends her days at parties, often bumping into her "friend" Lexi along the way.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Her skin and hair are ice blue, which is likely related to whatever Quirk or other superhuman ability she must have and an allusion to her grandfather's condition.
  • Famous Ancestor: Her grandfather is Victor Fries, better known as Mr. Freeze, one of Gotham's most famous rogues and a major enemy of Batman. Wiktoria seems to hold Victor in high enough regard to be offended when Lexi calls him a "sentimental old fool".
  • Hidden Disdain Reveal: Albeit, one that happens almost immediately. In public, Wiktoria and Lexi are the best of friends. In private, they despise each other and hate lingering around one another for longer than necessary, only appearing together as part of the upper-class rituals they've become accustomed to.
  • Idle Rich: Unlike Lexi, Wiktoria is content to live a life of luxury off her grandfather's company and has not displayed any interest in going beyond what she's already comfortable with.
  • Socialite: Fits the role to a T, being wealthy, sociable, and cultured.

    Woodhouse

Woodhouse

A loyal but somewhat bumbling butler of the Luthor family, he takes up chauffeuring duties after Lexi and Mercy begin attending U.A.
  • Adaptation Species Change: The original Woodhouse from Legion Of Superheroes was a robot, but he appears to be human in this story.
  • Artificial Limbs: Has a bionic arm, though it's unknown if its a prosthetic or because of a superpower.
  • Bumbling Sidekick: He admits that he has not driven on the left side of the road in a long time and Mercy shouts at him when he messes up. Lexi notes that he's mainly still on payroll because he's been around for so long.
  • Expy: Of Woodhouse from Archer.
  • Mythology Gag: Woodhouse having a bionic arm is most likely a reference to how the original Woodhouse from Legion Of Superheroes was a robot.
  • Old Retainer: He's apparently been working for the Luthors for years and is mainly still on their payroll due to his loyalty and seniority.
