Look, it's the gods! Wonderful gods!
A mysterious and legendary tribe said to have existed in ancient times. Existence of the Gods is heavily disputed. Some people believe that the ruins depicting unusual pictures were left behind by the Gods. Xiang Ye and his friends visit one such ruin to research the God tribe. Vasily Andre later confirms their existence as the creators and masters of other races.
  • Abusive Precursors: And how! They sacrifice their creations to obtain the life force that keeps them alive.
  • Broken Pedestal: Xiang Ye was curious about the God Tribe. After watching them from the memories of Andre, he is appalled by their murderous actions.
  • Creating Life Is Awesome: They enjoy playing God because it nets them labor and life sustainability.
  • Deep Sleep: The gods and their leader are currently hibernating, waiting for the time when there is abundant life to harvest the life stones. They still need nutrition to sustain them in their dormant form, so the Human Tribe has to offer an annual sacrifice to secretly nourish them.
  • Deity of Human Origin: Xiang Ye speculates that the Gods were actually humans who were transported to this realm, just like him. This turns out to be false.
  • The Giant: Humans look like mice in comparison to them.
  • Heroic Lineage: According to legends, the royal lineage of the demons originated from this tribe.
  • Horned Humanoid: They have horns, just like the Demon Tribe.
  • Jerkass Gods: They gave magic and civilization to humans, to increase their yield of higher grade life stones when slaughtered.
  • Lack of Empathy: They quietly smirk at the stupidity of the trusting humans, before incinerating them.
  • Life Energy: The gods require life stones for nourishment. Life stones can be used to manipulate life energy. It also increases the longevity and prowess of the gods.
  • Light Is Not Good: They have luminous white skin, but they are completely remorseless.
  • Living Battery: The gods habitually slaughter people to harvest life stones, which they need to sustain.
  • The Maker: One legend attributes the creation of the Hullo Plains to a member of the God Tribe. He could utilize Useless Lumber, just like Xiang Ye.
  • Master Race: The God Tribe was an advanced civilization, and they dominated the world thousands of years ago. They are stronger and far more powerful than all other tribes, and can create objects with a mere thought.
  • A Mythology Is True: The God Tribe did exist in the days of the yore.
  • Precursors: The Gods supposedly existed thousands of years before the current storyline. Presently, only ruins exist as relics of their supposed existence. Five years ago, Martin had visited one such ruin and recorded all the mysterious inscriptions into his notebook.
  • Shrouded in Myth: The humans believe that a powerful dragon had helped them establish their kingdom. It turns out it was the God Tribe who did it, and for cruel reasons.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: They were once child refugees fleeing from an unknown apocalypse. Then they accidentally killed someone, and discovered that puny mortals drop rare loot when you zap em...
  • Would Hurt a Child: They have no qualms slaughtering infants along with innocents, just to create life stones.

All we're doing is recycling life that was once created!
Click here to see the God King's true face.
A gigantic god, who rules over other gods.
  • Achilles' Heel: There's a limit to the number of threats he can face, and his shields can only be deployed in three directions, not a perfect sphere. So if he's facing overwhelming force from the top and sides, he leaves what's below him unprotected.
  • All Your Powers Combined: In addition to using the boundary force powers of all the races, he can use Forging, and rivals Xiang Ye in its application.
  • The Faceless: His face is covered with effulgence.
  • Invisible Jerkass: Supervises the human experiment and is only visible to Andre and the other gods.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Criticizes Andre for bringing old people and children for the experiment, because their deaths won't yield excellent life stones.
  • Large and in Charge: He is larger than the other gods, who are themselves gigantic.
  • Lotus-Eater Machine: Chapter 447 makes it look like Xiang Ye and crew beat him with a Tsar Bomba, and cue How We Got Here for the In Medias Res of chapter 1, but nope. Xiang Ye, Isabella, and their closest allies are all in stasis bubbles, living their ideal fantasies. Xiang Ye, who's seen this nonsense before in various works of fiction on Earth, sees through it and breaks himself and Isabella out.
  • The Maker: He created the Beast Tribe, the Human Tribe, and the Dwarf Tribe. The Osa family are his direct descendants through his daughter, Andaman.
  • Nightmare Face: His face when expressing his thoughts about his "cattle" races is horrendous. Just check the image in his entry.
  • Pet the Dog: The God King is a complete bastard towards mortals, but is somewhat reasonable with Andre, because he is a loyal and competent slave. The God King casually gifts him a flawed life stone, despite the sheer power he is entrusting to a slave. Later, he bestows Andre with immortality and tremendous power by infusing him with four life stones, so that the latter would watch over life on Hullo plains and supply the hibernating gods with some nutrition.
  • Top God: Is the king of the god tribe.
  • You Said You Would Let Them Go: He promises his daughter to spare her human lover through Andre's mouth if she stands down and surrenders. Already in magical chains, she agrees. He has her chains removed and secures the god-slaying sword she wields. The instant said sword is out of her reach, he grabs her human lover and executes him, by turning him back into a god-stone, while she's Forced to Watch and states "gods have no need to honor promises to their servants!" She flees, and finds herself very, very pregnant, on the run, giving birth among the demon tribe.

     Andaman
The daughter of the God King
  • Defector from Decadence: She fled the God Tribe, very pregnant, when they went into stasis.
  • Greater-Scope Paragon: Because of her, the races on the plains actually have a chance to defeat the God tribe.
  • Heroic Suicide: Knowing she's doomed to die anyway, unable to consume god stones, she gives up her body so Xiang Ye can be resurrected.
  • Horned Humanoid: She's the reason the Osa line has horns.
  • Renaissance Man: Thanks to her, the Demon Tribe went from beggars and weaklings to being a powerhouse capable of rivaling the God Tribe worshiping humans.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: She fell in love with a human, and vice versa. The rest of the tribe looked on that as bestiality, condemning her for it. Her human lover wound up executed, turned back into a god stone "for corrupting her."
  • White Sheep: She's the only one of the God Tribe who actually finds fault with consuming sapient beings for power and nutrition.
