A shy, cute, quiet and obese rhinoceros who tends to be a bit "slower" than the other characters, but is cheerful and loves learning new things. Birthday: June 12

  • The Big Guy: He is the largest male character in the series.
  • Disembodied Eyebrows
  • Exposed Animal Bellybutton: Thunder has a bellybutton on his tummy. Though it doesn't appear on promo art, Thunder has a bellybutton in the actual show.
  • Fat Bastard: He is very obese and enjoys eating a lot.

  • Gentle Giant: His heart is as huge as he is.

  • Growling Gut: Thunder's tummy growls when he's hungry.
  • Kindhearted Simpleton: Thunder is air-headed and clumsy. But he's a very kindhearted rhino and is friendly to everyone else.
  • Rhino Rampage: Completely averted, as he's very friendly.
  • Simpleton Voice: He has the voice to match his other simpleton qualities described here.
  • Shrinking Violet: He's shy and quiet, indicating that he is the shyest character.
  • Too Dumb to Live: While Thunder isn't exactly an idiot, he's not the brightest character in the show either. He's clumsy and air-headed.

A crocodile who loves fishing. When the other characters need help, they usually go to him. Birthday: October 17

  • Gadgeteer Genius: Similar to Rabbit, he's no Dexter, but he also gets his fair share of coming up with "inventions" in some episodes.
  • Heroes Gone Fishing: In most episodes featuring Jasper, he is usually seen fishing at first. He even does it for a brief moment in the theme song.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: Averted, being a good crocodile who offers sage advice to the other characters.
  • The Smart Guy: Of all the characters, he seems to be the most mature and knows many things the others don't. When the other characters need to know something, they often go to him for sage advice.

A big blue elephant who acts like everybody's big sister. Birthday: April 6

The Gibble Goose Girls (Amber, Coral, Jade and Pearl)
A quartet of goslings that go and do everything together. Birthdays: November 19 (Amber), May 21 (Coral), August 26 (Jade), January 5 (Pearl)
  • Disembodied Eyebrows: Applies to all four of the girls.
  • The Dividuals: The Gibble Goose girls ALWAYS stick together, and are rarely seen alone. They look, act, and even sound the same. They are inseparable.
  • I Believe I Can Fly: Adverted. None of the girls can actually fly because they're too young.
    • In the episode, The Big Goose, All the Gibble Goose Girls, especially Jade, are entranced by the new goose in town, Tony, who's almost all grown and quite a good flyer and deep diver. Jade wants to fly and dive too, but the Gibble Goose Girls are too little, so Rabbit and his friends help them pretend. Note that Jade DOES want to fly like Tony.
