Village of Phoenix Drop
Lord Aphmau
Voiced by: Jessica Bravura
The main character, a mysterious amnesic who becomes the lord of Phoenix Drop.- Action Mom: Aphmau can definitely hold her own in a fight and she ends with four kids over the course of the series.
- All Girls Want Bad Boys: Her love interests include Laurance, who gains violent impulses after becoming a Shadow Knight, and Aaron, who is moody and mysterious.
- Amnesiac Hero: She has no memory of her past before she woke up in the woods outside Phoenix Drop.
- Arranged Marriage: Aphmau almost gets forced into one of these in season two.
- Cat Girl: She is temporarily turned into one by a spell. It lasts for much of season 2.
- Clueless Chick-Magnet: A gender swapped version. She gets a better clue as the story continues.
- Color Motif: Purple.
- Dude Magnet: She has three main love interests Laurance, Garroth, and Aaron, Jeffory and Travis both try to flirt with her upon meeting her, Zane tries to force her to marry him (although not because of love or attraction), and she almost gets stuck in arranged marriage to Fenrir. Wow.

- Super-Powered Alter Ego: After traveling to the Irene Dimension Aphmau gains the power to transform into a powerful winged warrior, who later turns out to be Lady Irene herself. Aphmau can't control the state, it takes over whenever she's in distress.
Garroth Ro'Meave
Voiced by: Andy Cowley
The head guard of Phoenix Drop.- Arranged Marriage: His father arranged on for him as part of a political alliance. It did not work out.
- Cain and Abel: Garroth's younger brother Zane is one of the main antagonists. This trope is later subverted in the case of Garroth's younger brother, Vylad, who Garroth is on good terms with.
- Faking the Dead: Garroth mentions this was how he got out of his arranged marriage.
- Like a Son to Me: Before Zenix's betrayal, Garroth describes Zenix as being like a son to him.
- Power Trio: With Dante and Laurance in season 1.
- Runaway Fiancé: He escaped his arranged marriage before the story began. Somewhat humorously, it turns out that the person he was supposed to be marrying was Nicole, who also ran away to escape the marriage.
Laurance
Voiced by: Sebastian Todd
One of Aphmau's love interests/guards. He became a Shadow Knight but managed to overcome his dark nature for a while.- Ambiguously Human: All Shadow Knights were once human but aren't anymore and what that entails is never specified.
- Casanova Wannabe: His is introduced trying to flirt with Aphmau.
- Conveniently an Orphan: His parents dies when he was a child. He had an adopted father, but he also died before the story began.
- Important Haircut: He has his hair cut (and dyed) as he is starting to recover from his time in the Nether.
- Power Trio: Part of one with Dante and Garroth in season 1. He forms another with Katelyn and Aphmau in early season 2.
- Wedding Smashers: He ruins Fenrir and spoiler: Aphmau's arranged wedding in Season 2 by going into his Shadow Knight form and murdering most of the people there.
Dante
Voiced by: Kestin Howard
One of Aphmau's guards.- Big Brother Instinct: Dante has stated he sees Aphmau like a sister, and has shown himself to be protective toward her. At one point Nicole even says "you aren't her big brother you know".
- Cain and Abel: Dante's has a grudge at his older brother, Gene, who ruined his life and is one of the main characters in the series.
- Happily Married: With Kawaii~Chan.
- Interspecies Romance: With Kawaii~Chan, a Meif'wa.
- Pink Girl, Blue Boy: Dante has blue hair and blue as his color motif and is married to Kawaii~Chan, who has pink hair and pink as her color motif.
- Power Trio: With Garroth and Laurance in season 1.
Emmalyn
Voiced by: Michelle Marie
A librarian from Phoenix Drop.- Conveniently an Orphan: She brings up her family once, when mentioning that her parents died when she was a teenager.
- Cute Bookworm: She gets really excited about learning stuff.
- Magic Librarian: While not typically associated with magic, she does use magic to get remove the remnants of Zane's spell from the village square.
- Second Love: To her husband Kenmur
Kenmur
An inventor from Meteli.
- Conveniently an Orphan: He almost literally states that at some point, explaining that since he has no family, he doesn't have anyone he has to check in on after getting trapped in another dimension for fifteen years.
- Gadgeteer Genius: He's an inventor
- Second Love: He used to be engaged to Sasha, but after she died he moved on and fell in love with Emmalyn. There's a brief love triangle when he finds out that she'd been brought back to life, but he realizes that she's changed a lot and he wants to be with Emmalyn now.
Donna
A member of Phoenix Drop, and one of Aphmau's first friends
- Interspecies Romance: She is human and marries Logan, a werewolf.
Cadenza of Meteli

- Cool Big Sis: To Laurance.
- Happily Adopted: By Hayden.
Aaron/the stranger
Voiced by: Jason Bravura
- Blindfolded Vision: He has a bandanna wrapped around his head to hide his eyes. The reason why he wears it is never explained.
- Crusading Widower: His wife and son died and and he wanted revenge on the person who caused their deaths.
- Doomed Hometown: As part of his backstory. The town itself was fine. Everyone in it but him? Not so much.
- Heroic Sacrifice: He sacrifices his life to bring back Garroth and Zane in season 2.
- The Lost Lenore: His wife died before the main story began.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: The audience didn't know his name for around half a season after he was introduced, so he was known as "the stranger".
- Third-Option Love Interest: He's introduced later, but is still the one who ends up with Aphmau.
Alina
The daughter of Aphmau and Aaron.
- Deceased Parents Are the Best: Her father died before she was born.
Dmitri

The son of Dante and Nicole.- Bratty Half-Pint: He's a mischievous kid with a big attitude.
- Brother–Sister Team: With his half-sister Nekoette~Tan.
- Long-Lost Relative: To his father Dante and half-sister Nekoette~tan.
Katelyn the Fire Fist
Voiced by: Lizzy Hofe
A member of the Jury of Nine who later defects and becomes one of Aphmau's guards.- Action Girl: She's one of the strongest characters in the series, an especially impressive feat when you consider that she doesn't have any kind of magic, unlike a lot of the other really powerful characters.
- Ambiguously Bi: Her counterpart in the sister series, MyStreet, is explicitly bisexual so presumably that carries over. In this series though, while she has some subtext with other female characters, she only ever displays explicit attraction to guys.
- Badass Normal: See above.
- Bodyguarding a Badass: She serves as as guard to Aphmau.
- Cat Girl: She is temporarily turned into one by a spell. It lasts for much of season 2.
- Color Motif: Light blue.
- Curtains Match the Window: She has light blue hair and eyes.
- Interspecies Romance: She has lots of ship tease with Travis, who is half demon.
- Pervert Revenge Mode: Travis is a creep to her a lot. She beats him up every time.
- Power Trio: She is part of one with Aphmau and Laurance in early season 2.
- The Worf Effect: She is a member of the Jury of Nine, making her one of the most powerful characters in the series, but she loses many of her fights to show the strength of characters like Ivy. Somewhat justified, as each fight had extenuating circumstances, like Ivy having a relic but after awhile her losing a lot gets really notable.
Kawaii~Chan

A cute magicks user who comes to reside in Phoenix Drop.- Cat Girl
- Maid Cafe: Her job is running one.
- Pink Girl, Blue Boy: Kawaii~Chan has pink hair and pink as a color motif and is married to Dante, who has blue hair and blue as a color motif.
- Pink Is Feminine: She has pink hair, pink is her favorite color, and she's very feminine.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: She has pink hair and nice and cute personality.
Lilith Garnet
The adopted daughter of Aphmau and Aaron.
- Accent Upon The Wrong Syllable: Lilith Garnet's name is always pronounced with extra emphases on the "net".
Lucinda
- All Witches Have Cats: Averted. Her familiar is an owl named Bigglesworth.
- Daddy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You: Her father exiled her from his village because she was a witch. It turned that he was just trying to keep her safe, because the villagers had so much prejudice against witches the only other way to appease them would have been to kill her.
- Dark Is Not Evil: Lucinda is a witch and wears primarily dark colors, but she's a great person.
- Hot Witch: She's a very powerful witch, and her attractiveness is played up as much as possible considering she's made of blocks.
- Missing Mom: She and her dad lived separately from her mom as a child. She only got back in contact with her mom later, and was pretty resentful that her mom wasn't around for her as a child.
Nekoette~Tan

The daughter of Dante and Kawaii~Chan.- Brother–Sister Team: With her half-brother Dmitri.
- Half-Human Hybrid: Her mother is a Meif'wa and her father is human.
Nicole Von Ronsenburg
Voiced by: Lizzy Hofe
- Fiery Redhead: She has (literal) red hair and a hot temper.
- Runaway Fiancé: Nicole was supposed to marry Garroth. She didn't want to.
- Steampunk: Her outfit has this aesthetic.
Travis Valkrum
Voiced by: P.M. Seymour
- Archnemesis Dad: His father is The Demon Warlock.
- Casanova Wannabe: Justified. Due to spending much of his life almost completely alone he is very lonely but has incredibly awful social skills.
- Deceased Parents Are the Best: Travis's mom is dead. His dad is still alive, but they are on extremely bad terms.
- Half-Human Hybrid: His father is a demon.
- Heroic Bastard: Though never explicitly stated, since his father was a literal demon, his parents were probably never married.
- Mystical White Hair: Travis has white hair and is half-demon.
- Purple Is Powerful: In his demon form, Travis has purple eyes just like his father.
Vylad Ro'Meave
A Shadow Knight who managed to overcome his dark nature.
- Ambiguously Human: All Shadow Knights were once human but aren't anymore and what that entails is never specified.
- Back from the Dead: Like all Shadow Knights.
- Cain and Abel and Seth: Though he is introduced early on we only find out Vylad is Zane and Garroth's supposedly dead brother until season two. Otherwise played straight, as they already had established the Cain and Abel dynamic before his presence was factored into the equation.
- Heroic Bastard: He's a protagonist and he was conceived from his mother having an affair.
- Walking Spoiler: The reason his last name is marked as a spoiler on this page. He's literally the first character (outside of Aphmau) seen in Minecraft Diaries, but we don't know is identity or motivations until season two.

- Like a Son to Me: Before Zenix's betrayal, Garroth describes Zenix as being like a son to him.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Zenix is evil and has red eyes.
Sasha
Voiced by: Mega Moeka
- Ambiguously Human: All Shadow Knights were once human but aren't anymore and what that entails is never specified.
- Anti-Villain: Sasha became a Shadow Knight after an accident, and was manipulated into thinking that she was left to her death by her former allies, leading her to turn vengeful. She's also got no real personal stake in Shad's vendetta against Irene, and has sympathetic moments of genuine care with Gene, Kenmur, and Michi. Laurance describes her as relatively nice compared to the other Shadow Knights.
- Back from the Dead: She died from falling into lava.
- Came Back Wrong: Sasha apparently used to be a nice person. Then she died and was brought back as a Shadow Knight.
- Fallen Hero: A noble guard who died and was brainwashed and made into a monster.
- Mystical White Hair: Zig-Zagged. She has white hair and isn't fully human, but she used to be fully human and was born with it.
Gene

- You Killed My Father: Abby mentions she's out for revenge for her father's murder, though it's never mentioned how she plans to go about this.
Ivy the Venom Scythe
Voiced by: Tomoyo Ichijouji
A former member of the Jury of Nine.- Foe Romance Subtext: Some of her taunts toward Katelyn and Aphmau sound a lot like flirting.
- I Shall Taunt You: She goads Katelyn into fighting her by bringing up Jeffory's death.
- Loyal to the Position: Ivy used to work for Zane and the Jury, but she ended up working for Tu'La after Zane disappeared. She said she didn't care who she was working for as long as she got to hurt people.

- Crossover Character: He is also the main villain of MyStreet, a series set in the same universe as Minecraft Diaries but hundreds of years later.
