Arcane Cities
Be-Thric
The blood-eyed Arcane that Tala first encounters in Mageling.
- Asshole Victim: Tala felt extremely guilty for all the lives she took as an Eskau. Except Be-Thric, every time she thinks about killing him she's reminded of how happy she was that she did.
- Fake Memories: How he essentially created Tali.
- Hate Sink: Subverted in that Tala realizes he's not this ultimate source of evil. He's just a guy who is an asshole. Doesn't stop Tala from killing him though.
City Lord
The City Lord of the Arcane City of Platoiri.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Acts like this towards the various Eskau that serve him.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: As Tala finds out the hard way, he might be weird but he's only one and a half steps away from being a god.
- It Amused Me: He's reason for existence.
De-Arg
An Eskau of the House of Blood.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Half as tall as Tala, yet one of the more powerful members of the House.
Meallain
An Eskau of the House of Blood.
- Our Elves Are Different: An Elf.
Pallaun
Extremely powerful Eskau to the Pillar Sanguis. Was married to the City Lord's sister.
- Casting a Shadow: Uses the Concept of Darkness.
- World's Strongest Man: At no point did Tala think she'd have a chance against him. Even Meallain thinks she would lose against him.
Sanguis
A Revered-level Pillar of the House of Blood.
- Fantastic Racism: Doesn't like Humans.
Thron/Thorn
A former Eskau candidate that works as an Adjunct to Tali.
- Infinity +1 Sword: How Tala convinces him to help her; the Concept sword would allow him to fight the City Lord (easily 3 levels of advancement above him) as an equal, assuming the City Lord doesn't have one either.
- Our Dwarves Are Different: A dwarf with metallic hair.
- Poisonouse Person: Uses the concept of corrosion, and drinks a cup of acid with each meal to strenghten it further
Other
Leshkin
The remnants of an Arcane race called the Mezzannis that used to live in the Southern Forests. Due to their tendency to eat humans and keep them as cattle, they have been mostly wiped out with the Leshkin and some of the great trees being the survivors.
- Fusion Dance: Lesser Leshkin can fuse and become this. Humans took away the means for them to fuse into Soveign-level beings.
- Hive Mind: Implied to have some form of this, given the level of coordination they are capable of.
- Resurrective Immortality: Leshkin only temporarily die when you kill them. The same ones you killed earlier in the day might join battle in the evening.
