Valentine Vita

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_vita.png
A soldier of the Rebel Army. Apparently suffered harsh casualties on that she had to be fixed.

  • Artificial Limbs: She later loses most of her limbs some time in the future.
  • Breast Expansion: According to her concept art, she's been given a bust increase when she became a cyborg.
  • Cyborg: Complete with a robotic voice. Vita's head is the only organic part of her new body.
  • Custom Uniform: Wears a frilly dress rather than a standard Rebel uniform.
  • Energy Weapon:
    • Coming out of her right eye note  and landing in front of her. Unlocking her fourth skill will drag the laser up to the air.
    • Her special form's long-range attack is a spread of laser beams, while her special is a large explosion in front of her.
  • Eye Scream: Has an eyepatch on her left eye that is surrounded by burn marks.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: While it is never specified what year the Future Rebels live in, Vita never aged ever since she's been stuck in the tube.
  • Lighter and Softer: Her special form's art and sprites were given a less menacing look.
  • Made of Explodium: Her death animation has her malfunctioning and blowing up, dealing some damage to opposing units in the explosion's vicinity.
  • Magic Skirt: Subverted. When her special form lands down from her flight, her underwear can be seen.
  • People Jars: Seen in Nova's winning animation.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: Due to her friends being killed in a war.
  • Unwanted Revival: Was once bothered that Navy had the nerve to bring her back to life after what she experienced. Vita later mellows out of the predicament.
  • Use Your Head: How she leads the final blow in her close-range attack.
  • We Can Rebuild Him: Given the ability to float, charge forward with great speed, and a laser eye; not everything of her has been fixed though.

  • Enhanced Punch: Her close range attack is throwing an electrical uppercut.
  • Eye Beam: Her special is a short beam coming out of her eyes with an explosive effect afterwards.

  • It Was a Gift: A war jacket with Rebel decals was made specifically for her.
  • Made of Explodium: Explodes once her health has been depleted.

    • A Recent Extra Ops has her directly addressing Allen Sr. as her "future Father-In-Law".
  • Stripperiffic: Her attire merely consists of a torn tank top (if you call that a tank top) and very short shorts.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: As Tyrant Julia, the terror of her own troops.

  • Heroic BSoD: She sadly lies down on the ground when her robot is destroyed.
  • Opaque Nerd Glasses: The swirly kind of glasses. Her eye color is hazel.

    Alesha
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alesha_msa.png

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_alesha.png
A motorcyclist who is a recent member of the Rebel Army Bike Squad.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_destrade.png
A mercenary who now works for the Rebel Army, scouted by Allen O'Neil. Weilds a giant robotic arm in one hand and a pistol in another hand.

  • Amazonian Beauty: She has very feminine face despite her incredible muscular body and fights in an outfit that's basically a bikini with some armor.
  • Mama Bear: Is like this in the Extra Ops story "No Limit", where she respects and cares for the devil sergeant Allen O'Neil. But will show no mercy for those that harm him.
  • Power Fist
  • Rocket Punch: Quite literally as her special attack.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_huracan.png

  • BFG: Her bowgun looks like it would be more at home in Monster Hunter.
  • Blood Knight: Joining the Rebels and continuing to fight suits her just fine.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: She killed a bear that was driven to frenzy and attacking her villages by a drought, only to find out that it's presence kept a sizable pack of wolves at bay.
  • Nubile Savage: Albeit dressed in a more military outfit version of the usual garb.
  • Pistol Whip: Yes, she will smack you with her bowgun up close.

    Conny
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/conny_msa.png

An orphan who was raised by the Rebel Army. She is a member of the Allen Platoon.

  • Running Gag: Often has something explode and knock her unconscious.
  • Sphere Factor: Calls in a large, iron ball to roll onto her enemies and act as a projectile blocker.

    Nantes
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nantes_msa.png

A member of the Allen Platoon who operates a large tank.

  • Broken Tears: Her defeat animation has her kneeling in tears.
  • I Just Want to Be Badass: Her admiration towards Allen O'Neil is his strength and ability to survive death. She transferred over to the Allen Platoon so she can be as strong as him.
  • The Pollyanna: A cheerful soldier next to more hardened and stronger members of the platoon.
  • Tank Goodness: Her tank is large, hefty, and provides a massive amount of damage.

Abigail (Subjugation Tactics)

Everlasting Summer Abigail

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_abigail.png
An officer of the Rebel Army and commander of ACE. An intelligent, loyal, and extremely competent officer, but unfortunately, love can bloom on the battlefield...

  • Attack Drone: Accompanied by four floating cubes that fire Frickin' Laser Beams.
  • Broken Pedestal: Was a student of Ariadna who she looked up to. She feels betrayed after founding out Ariadna's affiliation with the Martians after her disappearance.
  • Cool Big Sis: To Beatriz.
  • Easter Egg: Winning a battle with Trevor showing up on either the player or opponent's deck will cause her to furiously blush while a thought bubble of Trevor appears above her.
  • Evil Laugh: Part of her special attack and victory pose, although it comes out silent. It is heard when using the Spacey Nokana's special attack.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Abigail is the more responsible of the sisters.
  • Energy Weapon: Her weapon of choice present in her attack drones and her personalized Nokana.
  • I Call It "Vera": Spacey Nokana, with the first part named after Abigail's crush.
  • In-Series Nickname: Abby.
  • Rage Against the Mentor: Had to put aside her previous feelings for her former mentor and reminds herself anyone who is against the Rebel Army is an enemy to her.
  • Smooch of Victory: Convinced Trevor to let her give him one if they team up to save the captured Mars People from the other armies. Since they got interrupted by a rampaged Rootmars, Abigail took the opportunity to give a kiss on a fainted Trevor's neck.
  • Tank Goodness: Has her own Iron Nokana tank with a laser cannon in the belly.
  • The Glasses Come Off: Her office attire in her concept art has her wearing glasses, which she is not a fan of. She uses contacts when in battle.
  • Villainous Crush: With Trevor Spacey. Goes to a whole new level with the Spacey Nokana, with the name and color based on Trevor.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: Her "Everlasting Summer" variant. She's dressed in a bikini in order to teach her sister how to swim. Her description implies that she hopes Trevor will come to the beach and see her (he does, but for work related reasons).

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dion_msa.png

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_dion.png
Second-in-command of ACE and Abigail's right-hand man. A soldier with excellent fencing skills.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_romy.png
A member of ACE, a brigade led by Abigail.

    Kriemhild
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kriemhild_msa.png

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_kriemhild.png
A skilled attack flyer who was transferred to ACE by Abigail's request.

  • The Cavalry: She intercepts a call between Vicky and Abul Abbas and immediately helps the Arabian Army from being attacked by the Pigni Doloma.
  • Helicopter Pack: Her Armed Tiltrotor lets her fly at quick speeds.
  • One-Man Army: Is capable of engaging in extremely dangerous missions alone.
  • Walking Armory: The Armed Tiltrotor contains a variety of flying missiles, machine guns, and shotguns.

    Katalina

A scientist of the Rebel Army and a member of ACE. Pilots her developed "Marinesk" in battle.

  • Life Drain: Damage done with the Marinesk's energy projectiles heals the tank.
  • Painfully Slow Projectile: The Marinesk's projectiles have an oddly slow travel speed. The single shots accelerate after a bit of travel.
  • Spell Book: Presumably, she uses her heavy book to unleash the Marinesk's special attack.

Beatriz's Brigade

    Beatriz
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/beatriz_msa.png

Beatriz (Subjugation Tactics)

Everlasting Summer Beatriz

Halloween Beatriz

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_beatriz.png
A chief of the Rebel Army and Abigail's sister. Idolized by the Rebel Solders, they serve as bodyguards for her.

  • Amnesiac Dissonance: Her Halloween variant acts much nicer after losing her memory.
  • An Ice Person: Her main ability is freezing her opponents with her weapons.
  • Big Sister Worship: Puts her sister Abigail in high regard. Turns into a bit of a Clingy Jealous Girl when Abigail's Villainous Crush Trevor is either present or brought up.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Despite her cute appearance, she is ruthless to anyone but her sister Abigail. Her close range attack consists of freezing one of her bodyguards and using them as a shield.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In one of her victory poses (chosen at random), Beatriz will toss a bomb on her servant if he gives her a carrot.
  • Does Not Like Spam: Dislikes carrots. Anyone who brings her one is a victim of the above.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: She is this in her "Subjugation Tactics" mode. She becomes very strict towards her troops, right down to threatening to freeze them solid should they disobey.
  • Energy Weapon : Ice beams from her Freeze Ray.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: As revealed in Guardians of Morden, Beatriz is the more foolish of the sisters. This got escalated in Pain of My Heart, when she puts the blame on one of her soldiers and decides to call it an accident instead of taking responsibility for the Frozen Naglfar's destruction.
  • In-Series Nickname: Betty, although Abigail calls her "Beaty".
  • Jerkass: See the entry in Bitch in Sheep's Clothing.
  • Kill It with Ice: Her ice gun is able to transform defeated living and non-living units into snowmen and ice blocks respectively. Her Subjugation Tactics mode calls Dolores to summon a Frozen Cabrakan to create a blizzard that turns defeated enemies, organic or not, into ice statues of her.
  • Mook Maker: A new variant has her rushing out to fight without any weapons. So instead she pulls out Bodyguard-class soldiers out of nowhere.
  • Praetorian Guard: The black/dark grey rebel soldiers show up beside Beatriz to give out weapons on command. The grey soldiers are actual units a player can deploy and are essentially beefed up versions of the normal Rebel Soldier, Sniper, and Shield Soldier.
  • Pure Is Not Good: Her deep love for her sister Abigail apparently deems her heart pure, according to the Pharaoh. She is still part of the evil Rebel Army and not a good person in general.
  • Sibling Team: Downplayed, both sisters are placed in different teams (Abigail in "One-Way" and Beatriz in "Queen's Battle").
  • Tank Goodness: Later owns her own personalized Iron Nokana like her sister, dubbed "Sister Nokana" which has its underbelly cannon modified to be a freeze ray. Later she gets the Ignited, a tank she has to share with Grazia, of all people.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Whenever she works with Allen Jr. and Grazia.

    Vicky
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vicky_msa.png

  • Hero-Worshipper: Vicky has an adoration to Beatriz. She even dresses up as her.
  • Kill It with Ice: Her Sarubia produces ice crystals and tosses them.
  • Magic from Technology: Her wand is actually a personalized remote control. Her Sarubia, however, is able to make intricate designs such as a large, clawed hand.
  • Skewed Priorities: Even though she was almost killed by Geweih's fire, she's more concerned about losing her United Coins she saved.

    Dolores
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dolores_msa.png

Halloween Dolores

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_dolores.png
A member of Beatriz's brigade.

  • Expy: Her Sarubia resembles the Fanner enemy from Mega Man Battle Network.
  • Innocent Flower Girl: As innocent as she can be in the army. She was made fun of in her early days in the Rebel Army for her unnecessary floral patterns on her ice. She got livelier when Morden, and later Julia, appreciated her designs and efforts.
  • Likes Older Men: Dolores has an affinity of older men due to them respecting her more than those her age. Because of this Dolores has a devotion to Morden and sees Abigail as a rival due to Morden giving her constant attention.
  • Shout-Out: Halloween Dolores has bat-wings and wears an even more Stripperiffic version of Morrigan's black leotard from Darkstalkers.
  • Succubi and Incubi: Dolores dresses as a succubus for Halloween.

Blaze Brigade

    Grazia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grazia_msa.png

Grazia (Subjugation Tactics)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_grazia.png

  • Badass Cape: Worthy for a leader.
  • Fire-Breathing Weapon: Her main style of fighting found in her flamethrower and the Flame Dragon Cannon.
  • Fire/Ice Duo: As the leader of the Blaze Brigade, she does not get along well with Beatriz.
  • Fiery Redhead: She has red hair, is very boastful, and goes nuts with her flames.
  • Foil: To Beatriz, in terms of their weaponry.
  • Heroic BSoD: Grazia stands in shock after Romy effectively destroyed the Ptolemaic Gigant within the allotted time frame. Loretta tells Norah to bring her in her room and give constant praise for five minutes.
  • Noblewoman's Laugh: One of her victory animations.
  • The Rival: To Beatriz. Abigail is in amicable terms and also helped fund the Blaze Brigade.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Grazia and Beatriz do not like to admit their cooperation skills.

    Loretta
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/loretta_msa.png

Loretta (Subjugation Tactics)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_loretta.png
The second-in-command of the Blaze Brigade.

  • Fire-Breathing Weapon: She also has her own cannon, and unlike Grazia's, Loretta rides it along the ground.
  • Kill It with Fire: She likes to spread flames all over the place.
  • Number Two: Loretta's skill level is similar to Grazia's and even helped the brigade out of trouble at times.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Grazia's red.

    Norah
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/norah_msa.png

Norah (Subjugation Tactics)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_norah.png
A member of Beatriz's brigade who transferred to Grazia's Blaze Brigade. She admires both leaders greatly.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: Unlike Beatriz, who simply hates everyone and uses her cuteness to her advantage, Norah only gets aggressive when provoked.
  • Putting on the Reich: While this is the Rebel Army as a whole, her standard walking animation is goose stepping.
  • Fire-Breathing Weapon: Uses two flamethrowers in which their spread are flung like a whip.

Arabian Infantry

    Shizuka
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shizuka_msa.png

Shizuka (Subjugation Tactics)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/msa_shizuka_out.png
A hired ninja and personal bodyguard for Abul Abbas. Has a thing for sweets and had connections with Yoshino in the past.

  • Bodyguard Babes: Abul's personal female ninja bodyguard.
    • Bodyguarding a Badass: It's debatable how badass Abul is, though his Special variant (which she is paired with) is definitely no slouch.
  • The Rival: To Yoshino, both once trained in the same village they lived in.
  • Straight Man: Compared to Abul and Aisha.
  • Sweet Tooth: Her in-game description states that she takes her smartphone out and looks up new sweets online. True to the description, it is shown in her victory animation, with a cupcake in a thought bubble.

    Aisha
