Raiders of the Lost Ark

    Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones

  • Actor Allusion: Han Solo is a Guest Fighter in the game.
  • Adventurer Archaeologist: As usual, his style of "archeology" involves going into dangerous locations, fighting bad guys, and nabbing priceless artifacts to store away in a warehouse where nobody will disturb them.
  • Combat Pragmatist: In cutscenes he demonstrates his willingness to use anything to win, and the gameplay mechanic of being able to pick up almost anything and use it as a weapon represents this mindset well.
  • Disney Death: In the Desert Ambush level from the first game, he goes plummeting with the tank after defeating Vogel, with his allies starting to mourn him before he's shown climbing out alive and well. The sequel trades this part for a little comedic Toon Physics of him running up then jumping off the tank.
  • Guest Fighter: He made a playable appearance as a Secret Character in LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga prior to the release of the first game.
  • Iconic Outfit: He wears his classic jacket and fedora in his default costume.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Without dialogue, you wouldn't have guessed his real name is Henry without seeing the movies. In fact, his father is only called Henry Jones with the Senior title dropped.
  • Weapon Specialization: His go-to weapon, no matter what other one he picks up along the way, is of course his iconic whip. It can tie up enemies, swing from certain places and grab distant objects (and in the first game, catch the ladies for a kiss).
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Actually a feature, as he will cower from fear in the presence of snakes.

    Satipo

Satipo

    Belloq

Belloq

  • Big Bad: Is the overall villain for the Raiders of the lost Ark levels in both games.
  • "Get Back Here!" Boss: His first-game boss fight involves climbing up to his current post and punching him, which you do three times until he drops down and you can just punch off his remaining health without any fuss.
  • Non-Action Big Bad: In the first game he's a leader and commander, not a fighter, so he's a "Get Back Here!" Boss for the finale. No longer the case in the second game, where he provides a genuine challenge all on his own.

    Jock

Jock

  • Ascended Extra: In the movie he's simply fishing while waiting for Indy to return and have him fly them home, while here he joins Indy in fighting off Hovitos Tribesmen while repairing his inexplicably wrecked plane using his Mr. Fixit skills.
  • Mr. Fixit: As a regular wrench wielder, he's always able to repair broken objects.
  • Wrench Whack: The wrench he uses to be a Mr. Fixit is also what he uses for his melee attack.

    Marion

Marion

  • Action Girl: Alongside being combat-capable in gameplay, cutscenes also show her punching out Nazis as well as Indy can.
  • Battle Couple: She and Indy develop a strong relationship over the course of Raider of the Lost Ark, which eventually becomes a genuine relationship in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and whenever she's part of a level the two kick equal amounts of butt.

    Sallah

Sallah

  • Shovel Strike: His weapon is a shovel, which alongside digging can be used to whack enemies.

Temple of Doom

    Willie

Willie

  • Adaptational Badass: While she's notorious in the films for being basically useless, here she's the only character in the first game with the ability to shatter reinforced glass, alongside being quite capable of fighting off anybody that might try to make her a Damsel in Distress. This is most evident in the first level of Temple of Doom where she has to fight off and acquire the antidote from Lao Che's men while Indy is left unable to jump or move very well due to the poison.
  • Damsel in Distress: She was captured by the Big Bad and put in a lava pit.
  • Damsel out of Distress: As opposed to her film counterpart who was a Butt-Monkey and The Load, this version can fight back against her pursuers.
  • Super-Scream: The screaming of her film counterpart has been turned into a very useful Glass-Shattering Sound.

    Short Round

Short Round

  • I Know Karate: Uses kicks in his melee attacks.
  • Mr. Fixit: The second game turns him into a regular wench wielder, which lets him always fix broken objects.
  • Wrench Whack: Becoming a Mr. Fixit in the second game naturally means he can use the wrench to smack enemies.

    Maharajah

Maharajah

    Mola Ram

Mola Ram

  • Big Bad: Is the overall villain for the Temple of Doom levels in both games.
  • Rock Monster: In the second game, he rides a giant magma-filled animated Kali statue for his boss battle.
  • Use Your Head: In the first game he like using the Horns of Villainy from his headdress to attack the player.

The Last Crusade

    Elsa

Elsa

  • Adaptational Villainy: In the second game, her sympathetic traits have been removed and she is more of a flat-out villain. That being said, she pulls a Heel–Face Turn at the end.
  • Double Agent: Was playable for the first two Crusade levels, but turned out to be working for the Nazis when Henry Sr. was rescued.
  • Disney Villain Death: A hole opened under her when she held the Holy Grail in the first game.
  • Heel–Face Turn: At the end of the second game. All it took was Henry Sr. teaching her golf.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: In the second game she rides off with Henry Sr.

    Henry Jones

Henry Jones

  • Badass Bookworm: He's a skilled archeologist in the regular, intellectually researching sense, and carries around a book that lets him decode glyphs. He's also decently good in a brawl despite his age.

    Donovan

Donovan

  • Out of Focus: In both games, he isn't as prominent as he was in the movie, with Elsa generally being more involved than him.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

    Mac

Mac

    Janitor

Janitor

  • Canon Foreigner: There was no janitor character in the movie, but the interim between Mac's betrayal and Mutt's meeting needed somebody else to act as co-op partner.
  • Improbable Weapon User: The only thing he had with him when he met Mr. Jones was his cleaning broom, so in combat he whacks foes with it.

    Mutt

Mutt

  • Mr. Fixit: As a regular wielder of a wrench, he's always able to fix broken objects.
  • Wrench Whack: Instead of his knife, he gets a wrench (also used to fix things).

    Dovchenko

Dovchenko

    Agent Spalko

Agent Spalko

  • Card-Carrying Villain: Despite the lack of dialogue, this version Spalko clearly loves being evil, doing an evil laugh in most of her cutscenes.
  • Final Boss: Acts as the last Climax Boss faced in The Adventure Continues by virtue of being the Big Bad for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
  • Master Swordsman: Carries a sword that she wields with deadly skill.
  • Motor Mouth: She says more gibberish than everyone else.
