The Shibuya Division representatives. Led by former The Dirty Dawg member and fashion designer Ramuda Amemura, the team consists of him, author Gentaro Yumeno, and gambler Dice Arisugawa.

Their Color Motif is yellow.

Fling Posse are the winners of the 2nd Division Rap Battle.

  • Curb-Stomp Battle: During the Division Rap Battle prelimiaries, Fling Posse fought against The Dirty Doubts for the chance to represent Shibuya Division. After the Nested Story Reveal that their apparent loss was just Gentaro's story, Fling Posse complitely obliterated The Dirty Doubts without breaking a sweat.
  • Foil: To Matenro.
  • Halloween Episode: Episode 5 of Rhyme Anima is Halloween-themed and centered on Fling Posse.
  • Image Song:
  • Motifs: A sparkle design, which can be found on the brooch on Ramuda's bow, on Gentaro's cloak clasp, and on Dice's coat.
    • They can also be found on Gentaro and Dice's speakers. Fling Posse's level-up item in ARB is also shaped like it.
  • Odd Friendship: Even moreso than the other groups. Ramuda scouted Gentaro and Dice with the explicit purpose of winning territory battles, so unlike the other divisions, none of the members had any pre-existing bonds. However, as the story progressed, their bond got has deepened significantly.
    • As mentioned in an interview, while the other groups are joined together by friendship, loyalty, or even codependency, Fling Posse is held together by a shared nihilistic attitude of "anything is fine, nothing matters" about the world.
  • Significant Birth Date: Each member's birthday is a reference to an aspect of their personality and behavior.
    • Ramuda, who usually shows a sweet and carefree attitude, was born on Valentine's Day.
    • Gentaro, who has a tendency to fool people, was born on April 1.
    • Dice, who loves gambling, was born on July 7 (7/7).
  • Theme Naming: Their names refer to randomness/uncertainty.
    • The kanji for "Ramuda" means "random numbers".
    • The kanji for "Yume" in "Yumeno" means dream, and the "Gen" of "Gentaro" means "phantasm" or "illusion".
    • Dice refers to, well, dice.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Gentaro and Dice.

MC Name: easy R
Age: 24
Birthday: February 14 (Aquarius)
Height: 155 cmnote
Rap Ability: Dazzle
Likes: Hanging out with women, flashy fashion
Dislikes: Ghosts, injections, having his past pried into
The Leader of Fling Posse. A former member of Kujaku Posse, The Dirty Dawg, and a fashion designer.
  • Ambiguously Bi: He makes it very obvious how much he enjoys spending time with women. In the same time, Ramuda can get very cuddly with Gentaro and Dice (and not only them), at one point telling Gentaro that he loves him.
  • Ambiguously Human: Ramuda doesn't seem to have general knowledge about common things, such as going to school. The Party of Words occasionally refer to him as "a tool" and "inhuman". Later on, it was revealed that Ramuda is a clone, created by Rei to do dirty jobs for Chuohku such as wielding the True Hypnosis Mic.
  • Becoming the Mask: He initially became a team with Gentaro and Dice upon orders from Chuohku, but eventually found himself forming an actual bond with them. In the same vein, his bubbly and cutesy personality was initially just a facade that he adopted to mask his true self, but he gradually became more comfortable with it.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: It is very easy to not take him seriously due to his personality, but he is still a formidable rapper, and can be rather vicious if needed.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Despite his cutesy and childish front, he can be rather disrespectful and rude, as Jakurai can attest. Not to mention him dropping his childish act and talking in a deeper voice if you piss him off too much.
  • Blatant Lies: When asked about what kind of person Jakurai is:
Ramuda: He’s a good person.
Gentaro: Anything else?
Ramuda: He’s a good person.
Gentaro: Anything else?
Ramuda: He’s a good person.
Gentaro: Ramuda, is it possible that… you hate Jakurai Jinguji?
Ramuda: Don’t say that, Gentaro! Hate’s a strong word, do you really think I could hate anyone?
Gentaro: Yes, of course.
  • Cheery Pink: He is pink-haired and as cheerful as it gets. As long as you don't pry too much, at least...
  • Chick Magnet: Only rivaled in womanizing power by the host-mode Hifumi.
  • Cuddle Bug: Having No Sense of Personal Space, he can be very clingy at times. Even when Samatoki violently tries to shake him off, Ramuda is very hesitant to let go.
  • Darker and Edgier: In contrast to the cheery and upbeat "drops", "Pinku Iro no Ai" is a more grim take on Ramuda, mirroring his character arc.
  • Expendable Clone: Is considered on by the Party of Words. Otome refers to him as "nothing but a tool" for Chuohku, while Ichijiku outright says that he can be replaced at any point if she decides so.
  • The Dog Bites Back: In addition to his growing friendship with Gentaro and Dice, the awful treatment he received from Ichijiku eventually drove him to start disobeying the Party of Words.
  • Dogeza: Seeing a host in Dawn of Divisions manga bowing to him and Jakurai to ask for their help, Ramuda kneeled down and bowed as well. He said that it looked fun to him and he wanted to try, prompting a facepalm from Jakurai.
  • The Fake Cutie: As depicted in the Dawn of Divisions manga, he was very aloof and emotionless when he was created, but after meeting Manjo Hanabi, Ramuda adopted his cheerful attitude, making it his persona. Ramuda usually drops the act when he is alone or when he is really angry.
  • The Fashionista: Works as a fashion designer, which he picked up from Manjo Hanabi back in the day.
  • Image Song:
  • In Touch with His Feminine Side: He’s a pink-haired fashion designer with a big penchant for candy and a cutesy way of speaking, making him one of the least masculine members of the main cast. In ARB, he wore outfits with skirts on a few occasions.
  • The Leader: Is the leader of Fling Posse.
  • Manchild: Jakurai occasionally chastises him for his childish behavior, to which Ramuda snarks that he's fine with being a child (and sticked his tongue out, of course).
  • Master of Illusion: His Rap Ability "Dazzle" allows him to create illusions to disorientate an opponent.
  • Meaningful Name: His last name, Amemura, contains the character for candy. Ramuda is also pronounced similarly to the Greek letter lambda and can be read as "random numbers", both of which might refer to his status as one in a series of clones.
  • Mirror Match: As Ichijiku decides that he's no longer useful for Chuohku, she deploys three "more stable" clones to take him out. They almost succeed, but Gentaro and Dice jump in to aid their friend in need.
  • Older Than They Look: It's hard to believe that he's 24, given his appearance and behavior. Lampshaded in the "Division Rap Battle" song, in which he has a line: "I know how I look, but I really am an adult". Although if you consider that he's a clone who was raised in a test tube...
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When he drops his childish act and talks with an unusally deep voice, you know that things are getting serious...
  • Oral Fixation: He is depicted sucking lollipops on most of the official artworks. According to The Dirty Dawg manga, Ramuda used to smokenote .
  • Say It with Hearts: In the manga and ARB. Additionally, Shirai Yusuke has stated that his lines in the scripts for the drama tracks have ☆'s and ♡'s on them.
  • Sweet Tooth: His Trademark Favorite Food is candy. As mentioned in his official profile, Ramuda always carries candies with him and shares them with anyone who ruffles his hair. As was revealed, his candies are manufactured by Chuohku from special chemicals that prolong his lifespan.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Was a government spy for the Party of Words until he rebelled against them.
  • Vocal Dissonance: While his public voice is light, it's still rather masculine for someone with as cutesy an appearance as he does. It only gets more dissonant when he uses his aforementioned deep voice.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Jakurai. Also with Samatoki, to a degreenote .
  • What You Are in the Dark: In the end of the "Me Against the World" drama track, he laughs maniacally and states that he's going to Kill All Humans.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: He is very afraid of ghosts. As revealed in the Dawn of Divisions manga, he used to be very hard to scare but after a trip with Jakurai and a few coincidences, his fear manifested.
  • You Are Not Alone: In "The Loneliness, Tears, and Hope of a Puppet" drama track, he ends up all alone being cast away by Chuohku and subjected to elimination, but Gentaro and Dice jumped in to aid him, making Ramuda realize that he had formed true bonds with those two even without realizing.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Ichijiku concludes that since the effect of the life-saving candy is starting to decrease, he is now too much of a liability for Chuohku, so she sends other clones after Ramuda to dispose of him.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: Due to being a clone, Ramuda has a shortened lifespan and coughs out blood when he is close to death. Chuohku provide him with special candies that negate the effects but as their effectiveness starts wearing off, Ichijiku decides that he's no longer useful and stops providing them. Ramuda manages to get more candies from the clones Chuohku sent after him, but it's unclear how long they will last.

MC Name: Phantom
Age: 24
Birthday: April 1 (Aries)
Height: 177 cmnote
Rap Ability: Imitation
Likes: Watching people, cafes, fantastical stories
Dislikes: People making fun of his clothes, self-help books
A mischievous, yet soft spoken and docile novelist. A very convincing liar.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: If "Scenario Liar" is something to go by, Gentaro was an outcast in school, due to him being adopted.
  • Ambiguous Situation: In "Scenario Liar", Gentaro outlines his backstory, how he was Happily Adopted by an old couple, raised in poverty and ostracized in school, as well as mentioning his terminally-ill friend. However, he ends the song with his signature "It was a lie", which puts its validity into question, given his Consummate Liar gimmick.
  • Antiquated Linguistics: In the Funimation subtitles, he speaks in old-timey way. Even where it was unnecessary.
  • Berserk Button: He lost his cool when Hifumi made fun of his outfit.
  • Blunt "Yes": Gives one to Ramuda, when he asks if Gentaro really thanks that Ramuda can hate someone (namely, Jakurai).
  • Character Catchphrase: "That was a lie."
  • Consummate Liar: Initially started by making up various stories to entertain his sickly brother in the hospital. Eventually, lying became Gentaro's main quirk, as he usually comes up with various lies for no apparent reason, to the point that it's sometimes hard to know when he's genuine and when he isn't. Notably, he never does it out of malice, and all of his lies are totally harmless.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: This trope can be applied to him, if "Scenario Liar" lyrics actually do reflect the truth about his past.
  • Expository Pronoun: Gentaro mainly uses "shousei", an archaic, self-deprecating pronoun, befitting his old-fashioned style. But he also frquently switches between a variety of other pronouns in his speech, including (but not limited to) "watashi", "ore", "boku", "maro", and even "warawa", an archaic female pronoun. Sometimes, they're accompanied by a voice change and a change in speech pattern.
  • The Gadfly: Enjoys provoking reactions from others. Although he usually sticks to picking on Dice with harmless lies, he is capable of saying some really cutting stuff when trying to puzzle Ramuda out or ward off Jyuto.
  • Good Old Ways: Wears Taisho-era hakama with a haori as his casual everyday wear. His Hypnosis Mic takes the form of an old-fashioned phone, implying he's a Fan of the Past. In Rhyme Anima, his lyrics appear on screen as if written for a Japanese novel (the kanji start at the top right of the page and go downwards in columns).
  • Image Song:
  • Intrigued by Humanity: He enjoys watching passing people and coming up with outlandish stories about them.
  • Living Lie Detector: Being a Consummate Liar, he developed a so-called "liar's intuition", instantly figuring out that there is something off about Ramuda.
  • Most Writers Are Writers: Uses his tendency to lie to write stories, which made him a successful and renowned novelist.
  • Pet the Dog: In the Just a Friend drama track, he treats Dice to dinner after Dice defended Gentaro against Hifumi.
  • Power Copying: His Rap Ability "Imitate" allows him to copy an opponent's Rap Ability.
  • Reincarnation Romance: Discussed. Gentaro jokes that he and Dice were a princess and a knight in a star-crossed relationship in their past lives.
  • Running Gag: Comes up with a believable lie and when someone takes him up on his word (usually Dice), he states that what he said was a lie.

MC Name: Dead or Alive
Age: 20
Birthday: July 7 (Cancer)
Height: 177 cmnote
Rap Ability: Max Bet
Dislikes: Stable lifestyles, black tea
A compulsive gambler who hates steady, stable lifestyles.
  • Accidental Pervert: In We Just Wanna Party with You drama track, Dice accidentally walks in on Ramuda taking measures of a half-naked woman who agreed to model for him. Understandably, she freaked out and ran away after giving Dice a hearty slap on the face.
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Almost every time he needs more money for gambling, he begs either Ramuda or Gentaro.
  • Animal Motifs: Stray cats. He has cute little fangs, frequently shouts "Nya!" in his songs, and some ARB cards and manga covers feature him with cats.
  • Beat Them at Their Own Game:
    • When Fling Posse were playing Cee-lo, Dice took Ramuda and Gentaro for a couple of schmucks and was confident that he could win easily with his special pair of dice. However, both Ramuda and Gentaro were able to see through his trick and defeat him, leaving Dice in a huge debt to them.
    • Reversed in Rhyme Anima, in which Dice manages to beat a gang of cheating gamblers who were using the weighted dice by cheesing the rules.
  • Big Eater: Always stuffs his face with food when someeone treats him. Notably, he's the only character who doesn't have a least favorite food, implying that he can eat everything. Even grass, if there's no other option.
  • Born Unlucky: Played with. Dice loses in gambling a lot, which is a reason for his Perpetual Poverty. However, when he wins, he definitely wins big. Not to mention that the fact that he manages to survive despite everything that's happening to him, which takes extreme luck on its own.
  • Butt-Monkey: Often becomes the end of the joke due to his compulsive gambling habit and desperate attempts to get people's sympathy for him.
  • Character Tics: Talks faster when he’s agitated.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Is occasionally depicted with these.
  • Dogeza: Typically seen doing this to his teammates or others while begging for money. He even wins a competition in one of the ARB event stories this way.
  • Fighting Your Friend: Fought Rio in the Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win and the 2nd Division Rap Battle.
  • The Gambling Addict: He always goes all-in when gambling, which usually ends up with him getting flat broke. It makes Dice frequently borrow money from Ramuda and Gentaro, even going so far as to take out loans in their names. Ramuda and Gentaro, in turn, exploit this to get Dice to do stuff for them.
  • Goofy Print Underwear: If the F.P & M manga is anything to go by, he has boxers with dollar signs, as would be expected from the resident occasionally-broke gambler.
  • Hates Their Parent: He doesn't seem to be fond of his mother, Otome. He refuses to talk about her and when they do meet to bargain Ramuda's safety, their reunion defintely is not a happy one.
  • Hidden Depths: In HYPNOSIS Wave, Dice mentions that he can play piano and violin.
  • Image Song:
  • Inconsistent Spelling: Technically, his name is read "Daisu" (and is written in kanji, meaning that it's not supposed to be read as a foreign word), but all official sources translate it as "Dice".
  • Informed Attribute: At 77kg, Dice is actually the heaviest member of the cast, beating out giants Rio and Jakurai. However, his physique doesn't look any different than Gentaro's, who, despite being the same height as Dice, is 16 kilograms lighter.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Averted. Dice is a compulsive gambler and a Thrill Seeker who goes all-in until he loses everything. Discussed in Reason to FIGHT, in which Rio calls Dice out on the fact that a gambler like him should know when to quit.
  • Lucky Seven: The whole number theme going on for him, starting from his birth date, his height, and his weight. His solo song "3$EVEN" is referring to the triple seven result in slot machines.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • He is a gambler named Dice.
    • Dice's name consists of kanji characters from his parents' names, Mikado and Otome. Mikado says that with such a name, luck will always follow Dice.
  • Morality Pet: He is one for Otome, although she hides it pretty well. When Dice goes out of his way to liberate her from prison, telling Otome to not let him down, she makes a decision to retire from politics.
  • One-Track-Minded Hunger: Being constantly broke from gambling, he never has enough money for food, so he latches onto everyone who agrees to feed him.
  • Perpetual Poverty: He's used to living in poverty because he spends all of his cash gambling, sometimes even losing all of his possessions, including his own clothes (but thankfully, not his underwear).
  • Random Effect Spell: His Rap Ability "Max Bet" changes his ability, depending on the roll of his slot machine-shaped speakers.
  • Riches to Rags: Grew up in an affluent family being the son of Otome Tohoten, but now, he's always flat broke and throws all the cash he can get on gambling.
  • The Runaway: As mentioned by Otome, Dice ran away from the house at a young age.
  • Straight Man: Played with. He still has several quirks that would make him strange to anyone outside of Fling Posse, but within their group dynamic he tends to be the butt of Ramuda and Gentaro's antics.
  • Thrill Seeker: As he admits himself, Dice hates stability and risk-free lifestyles, gambling only for the thrills. He even mentioned that he bet his own life to win the Hypnosis Mic, believing that rap battles can provide a source of "unbelievable thrills and excitement".
  • Tastes Like Friendship: Becomes friends with Rio after Rio fed him after Dice collapsed from hunger.

Alternative Title(s): Fling Posse
