Erika's older sister whom she constantly butts heads with. A charming and popular model who secretly longs for lasting friendships. Her Heart Flower is the Dahlia.


  • Best Friend: To Yuri.
  • Cool Big Sis: Tries very hard to be this for Erika by offering words of advice or assurance when possible.
  • Fashion Model: An aspiring model who's something of a celebrity in her hometown.
  • Follow in My Footsteps: One of the reasons for why she became a model is because her mother was a charismatic model in the past.
  • The Gadfly: Likes to make light-hearted jokes at Erika knowing how she'd overreact.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: She's jealous of her sister for being so popular among her school peers.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Sometimes she wishes that she wasn't a well-known model and was an average high school girl instead.

Itsuki's older brother and the former heir of the Myoudouin Martial Arts school. Despite being crippled because of his sickness, he has a gentle heart and looks out for his little sister. His Heart Flower is Chamomile.


  • Big Brother Mentor: Satsuki constantly reminds Itsuki that she doesn't have to worry about him so much and how she should craft her life in a way that makes her happy.
  • Delicate and Sickly: His illness makes it hard for him to be physically active or move around on his own.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: He's a teenage boy who could pass for a girl with his long hair.
  • Gender-Blender Name: His name is commonly used for Japanese girls.
  • Heir to the Dojo: Was meant to inherit his family's martials arts school given his role as the firstborn. But his sick nature led to him passing the title to his little sister.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: One of his defining features is his long hair which adds to his charm.

Tsubomi and Erika's homeroom teacher with a tough but caring personality. Her Heart Flower is rhododendron.


  • Cool Teacher: She does a great job teaching and her classmates do enjoy having her as their teacher.
  • Never Heard That One Before: Given her years as a teacher, she often overhears her students asking if "what they learn at school will actually be useful when they're adults". And for that, Professor Tsurusaki assures them that it is everytime.
  • Stern Teacher: She's quick to reprimand her students if she believes the reason is justifiable and if they're causing disorder.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She's terrified of ghosts.

A passionate tomboy who loves to play soccer. Her Heart Flower is the red poinsetta.


  • Fiery Redhead: Downplayed. She's pretty chill but can be full of spirit when it comes to her favorite game.
  • The Leader: The president and founder of the new Girls' Soccer Club.
  • Passionate Sports Girl: She enjoys soccer and won't allow her sexist classmates to keep her from playing.
  • Start My Own: She comes up with the idea to start her own soccer club where girls are allowed to play. By her second appearance, she's already recruited several members.

  • Ambiguously Brown: He and his family have tan skin colors.
  • Lovable Jock: He's a dedicated baseball player and is quite the friendly fellow.
  • The Promise: At the end of his debut, he and his dad make a man's promise where they'll both give it their best with their respective careers while supporting one another.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: He only wants the love and attention of his father like in the past. But after the opening of his second shop, he feels that he isn't getting the same level of approval.

The academy's ambitious photographer who's always on the lookout for hilarious moments to captivate. Her Heart Flower is Blackberry.


  • Camera Fiend: Is never seen without her camera.
  • Cat Smile: Her default expression which ties to her sly personality.
  • Fangirl: She's a huge fan of Mr. Kurumi for being a professional photographer and is ecstatic to meet him in person.
  • For Happiness: The reason she takes unflattering photos of her classmates is so she can make the whole school smile. The end of her debut has her deciding to take different photos that can inspire happiness in the people she takes them for.
  • Intrepid Reporter: Has some shades of this as she does write juicy stories to go with the photos she takes.
  • Nominal Hero: When she's scouted by Potpurri to be an official Precure, Kanae was invested if only so she could get inside information from the other Precure.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: She takes embarrassing photos of other kids regardless of their approval so she can bring a smile to her other classmates and create a positive vibe in her school.

A kind and reliable big sister who looks out for others but has some personal sorrows of her own. She's also a member of the Fashion Club. Her Heart Flower is a carnation.


  • Catchphrase: "Having a smile is the best!"
  • Cool Big Sis: Nanami tries her best to be this for her friends and her own little sister Rumi.
  • Do You Want to Haggle?: She's capable of bartering with shop owners to get great deals.
  • Emotion Suppression: She's the first Victim of the Week to have caged her own Heart Flower to keep her emotions in check. Though she does get better after being saved by the Precure.
  • Friendly Tickle Torture: Her methods to help her friends and sister feel better.
  • In-Series Nickname: Known as "Nami-Nami" by Erika.
  • Promotion to Parent: She has a loving dad who works to bring food on the table, but Nanami takes it on herself to take care of house chores and watch over her little sis.
  • Stepford Smiler: Behind her warm smile lies a sad little girl who still misses her mother and hates how she has to sacrifice so much to support her family.

The Theater Club President known for her proud nature and for having a fashion-themed rivalry with Erika. Her Heart Flower is bougainvillea.


  • Benevolent Boss: She turns into this after accepting that she was in the wrong while promising to listen to her club more.
  • Foil: To Erika. Both of them are confident, energetic girls who pride themselves in their work and are the acting presidents of their clubs. But while Erika is more considerate of her team and asks for their thoughts on any given project, Azusa is quite harsh in directing her group without taking the feelings of her club members into consideration.
  • Large Ham: Given her acting profession, it was a given for her to be this.
  • Master Actor: Prides herself in being a professional actor and gives pointers to others on how to improve their acting skills.
  • Mean Boss: At her worst, she's super tough and critical towards her actors.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: She gets this when she realizes how miserable she made her team with her pushy attitude which led to them quitting.
  • The Rival: To Erika in regards to which of their fashion teams is superior.

A reclusive boy who's rumored to be a legendary bancho. In truth, he's an insecure mangaka who loves to draw Precure. His Heart Flower is cornus florida.


  • Affectionate Nickname: Known as "Ken-chan" by his mother.
  • Death Glare: He manages to petrify people by giving them a chilling stare.
  • Fanboy: Of the Heartcatch Precure.
  • In Touch with His Feminine Side: Behind his gruff appearance lies a sweet boy who enjoys flowers and drawing manga of cute magical girls. In fact, when Potpourri declares him to be worthy of being the third Precure, he eagerly imagines himself wearing a pretty uniform.
  • Mama's Boy: He truly loves his mother and was concerned that she wouldn't approve of his mangaka dream.
  • Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold: Kenji was only seen as a scary bad boy with a delinquent background thus leaving him completely friendless. In truth, he's a sweet-hearted guy who admires magical girls and has a soft spot for flowers.
  • Peek-a-Bangs: His shaggy hair often covers his eyes but they do show themselves from time to time.
  • Secretly Wealthy: Implied to be this given how fancy his house is and how his mom looks like a Proper Lady.
  • Self-Insert Fic: His first doujinshi comic involve the Precure falling in love with "Ken", a cooler and handsome version of himself. As a refreshing twist, his original ending had the Precure giving up their crush on him, proclaiming that their friendship and duty was more valuable then him.
  • Sequential Artist: He dreams of becoming a professional manga artist and has the skills to achieve his dream.
  • Shrouded in Myth: Before meeting the girls, he was only recognized as a powerful boss who could take on the scariest of delinquents. He actually finds those rumors to be annoying.
  • Took a Level in Cheerfulness: He becomes alot more cheerful and approachable after befriending Tsubomi and Erika.

A second year who's the president of the Garden Club and is also a clumsy crybaby. Her Heart Flower is sasanqua.


  • Caring Gardener: Aya has an appreciation for plantlife and is the leader of a club that specializes in gardening. However, she admits that she sucks at taking care of flowers as they all tend to die by her hand.
  • Fangirl: Of Dr. Kaoroku for her research in flower development.
  • The Klutz: The poor girl can't walk two inches without having some type of accident.
  • Mirror Character: To Tsubomi. She shares her clumsy, insecure nature, her love for flowers, and represents how she would have turned out if she didn't have her canon Character Development.
  • Opaque Nerd Glasses: Aya's glasses tend to do this for comical moments.
  • Prone to Tears: She cries super easily and her club members encourage her to keep it together.
  • Senpai/Kōhai: Tsubomi refers to her as her senpai.
