Granado Espada is an unusual case for MMORPG, as you don't only get to create your own characters from scratch, you also get to recruit a colorful cast of NPCs into your family, allowing you to use them during your journey through the New World. Characters here are sorted by the location where you can recruit them.
Under construction.
Fighter
- Voiced by (JP): Nobuhisa Nakamoto (Male), Sakura Nogawa (female)
The tank and melee DPS, Fighters form a very important part of any squad. Their stats are pretty much spread out equally, making them very versatile as to how one would play as them. They have a wide range of stances to choose from, because of this, they can be a tank or a DPS with just a few clicks of the button.
Their personal skill is Provoke.
- An Adventurer Is You: Tank/DPS
- Badass Boast: What do you think he shouts whenever you press that Provoke button?"Bring it on!"
- Jack of All Stats: Their primary stats are pretty much spread over each other equally.
Musketeer
- Voiced by (JP): Shouta Kibe (male)
The ranged DPS, Musketeers use Rifles and Pistols to shoot enemies from afar. They have a high Dexterity stat to give their guns higher damage and accuracy. Since they have low constitution, they're easily taken down, but a good Musketeer always uses their range to their advantage.
Their personal skill is Concentration.
- An Adventurer Is You: DPS
- Bayonet Ya: Close Encounters
- Boring, but Practical: Flintlock. It is easily one of the most boring Expert stances, but it's equally easy to kite someone with it.
- Dual Wielding: Pistols
- Glass Cannon
- Guns Akimbo: Double-Guns Shot, Outrage Shot, Unlimited Shot
- Gun Twirling
- More Dakka: Get a whole squad of Musketeers on Unlimited Shot, and see bosses go down in mere seconds.
- Never Bring a Knife to a Gun Fight: Inverted. Daggers are amongst the things that can kill them easily.
Wizard
- Voiced by (JP): Ryōtarō Okiayu (male), Yui Shoji (female)
The mezzers, Wizards have a number of buffs and debuffs in their arsenal to help keep up the party alive from enemies. They can also be a secondary nuker to Warlocks, with their often quick-cast, medium-damage spells that is based on their higher-than-average Intelligence stat. They can also fly, making melee skills useless against them.
Their personal skill is Energy Shield.
- Ambiguously Gay: Male Wizards have enough costumes in their wardrobe to... uhh... confuse people.
- An Adventurer Is You: Mezzer/Buffer/Nuker
- Calling Your Attacks: When they cast certain spells.
- Deflector Shields: Some of their buffs work like this: Magic Barrier gives a chance to deflect magic damage, while Invulnerable makes, well, someone invulnerable to damage.
- Element No. 5: They mostly use the Mental Element, which can be any of the following:
- Magic Staff: Rods are for buffing, staves are for debuffing.
- Meido: Female Wizards with Maid Costume.
- Power Gives You Flight: Levitation and Darkness
- Schmuck Bait: They're usually the first ones to get targeted during a PvP fight, except they're rendered invulnerable by their personal skill.
Warlock/Elementalist
- Voiced by (JP): Rie Tanaka (female)
The primary nuker, Warlocks utilize bracelets of varying elements (Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Mental) to cast massive Area of Effect spells that deal massive damage and inflict statuses related to the element they are using. They have a very high Intelligence stat to complement this, however their low Constitution makes them prime targets to enemies.
Their personal skill is Elemental Penetration.
- An Adventurer Is You: Nuker
- Awesome, yet Impractical: Abyss Flare. It deals overkill damage, but you can't cast it without cover, since it will get cancelled when you get attacked, even if it's a miss. It's easy to have someone cover (i.e Mighty Glacier) you on major squad raids, but in other raids and PvP? Not so much.
- Dual Wielding: Bracelets. Dual Wielding bracelets of the same element gives the Warlock
- Dumb Blonde: Averted. As magicians, they naturally have high intelligence.
- Hand Blast: Along with Abyss Flare, they might be this universe's version of Saiyans.
- Power Gives You Flight: While casting Abyss Flare.
- Pimped-Out Dress: Female Warlocks look like they're going to a ball all the time with that gown
Scout
- Voiced by (JP): Takayuki Hori (male), Nana Inoue (female)
The healers and buffers, Scouts are essential to every team composition. Possessing average Intelligence and Dexterity, which allows them to heal more, and above average Constitution, giving them survivability, a scout's main job is to heal his family members as well as his allies, and give them buffs to perform better in battles. They can also equip Daggers and be a decent DPS. With their traps, they can inflict de-abilitating debuffs to enemies.
Their personal skill is Healing.
- An Adventurer Is You: Healer/Buffer/Tank/Debuffer/DPS/Trapper
- Super-Toughness: Believe it or not, a well-built Scout is almost impossible to take down, such that they can serve as secondary Tanks to Fighters.
- Poisoned Weapons: They bathe their Daggers in poison, which can either shred down an enemy's HP and Defense, or paralyze them, leaving them helpless to attacks.
Andre Janzur
- Voiced by (JP): Lou Oshiba (as Andre de Lou Oshiba)
Bar none, the most famous fashion designer in the world of Granado Espada, Andre is not shy to show his flamboyancy, and his famed artistic skill in designing clothes for the people of the New World. He also has an obsession with anything white. As a fighter, he specializes on Rapiers, and with his high Strength and above-average Constitution, he can deal enough damage while still taking a beating. Being a fashion designer, he can wear any kind of armor, except metal. The Japanese version had a special version of him: Andre de Lou Oshiba, based on real life Japanese comedian Lou Oshiba, who also voiced this version.
His personal skill is Fantastic.
- An Adventurer Is You: DPS
- Agent Peacock: Everything about him shouts FABULOUS. His personality, his skill, his fame, heck, even his fighting style.
- Anti-Magic: His Rapiere stance deals bonus damage to soft armor, the kind of armor Warlocks wear, and it also allows him to deflect magic attacks. Then there's his personal skill, Fantastic, which makes him deal more damage to Warlocks. Oh, and he can opt to wear soft armor, which innately has a high resistance to magic.
- Camp Gay
- Catchphrase: FANTAZZZZZZZZZZTIC!
- Dual Wielding: Rapiers
- Lightning Bruiser
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: He's based on the late Korean fashion designer Andre Kim, down to his obsession with anything white.
- His special Japanese version, noted above, was based on comedian Lou Oshiba.
- Royal Rapier
- Unlimited Wardrobe: He's the only character to be able to wear all types of armor except for metal.
- Verbal Tic: He stresses his 's' too much, so much that he pronounces it as 'z'.
Angie Shirley/Angie McKenzie
- Voiced by (JP): Ayuko Yoshida
Niece of Reboldoeux's famed engineer Jack, Angie follows his footsteps to become an engineer herself. She has both of Jack's and Yeganeh's builder stances, allowing her to be versatile on all situations.
Her personal skill is Fast Builder
- An Adventurer Is You: Trapper
- Boring, but Practical: As with all builders. See You Shall Not Pass! below.
- Bribing Your Way to Victory: Ultimately averted. Used to be recruited only by giving her Cash Shop items, but during an update, her quest was changed to become free to all.
- The Ditz
- Expy: of Winry Rockbell.
- Gadgeteer Genius
- Genki Girl
- Jack of All Stats: Her stats are average at most, even though as a builder, she should have high Dexterity stat.
- Stripperiffic
- Technical Pacifist: She cannot wield a combat weapon, only relying on her constructs to defeat enemies.
- Wrench Wench
- You Shall Not Pass!: She can build a fortress of constructs by herself, effectively disallowing mobs to hurt your characters and allies.
- Then her expert stance lets her build a ward that can cast web on enemies, stopping them on their tracks, for a literal take on this trope.
Brunie Etienne
- Voiced by (JP): Akira Nakagawa
Treasure Hunter and Reboldoeux's Residential Manager, Brunie knows much about the Royal Family and the conspiracy behind Reboldoeux and Auch. She specializes on Pistols, and has a high Agility and average Dexterity stats, allowing her to shoot faster with the penalty of having weaker and less accurate shots.
Her personal skill is Fatal Blues
- An Adventurer Is You: DPS
- Big Brother Is Watching: "You should be careful, ears are everywhere, even on the whitewash."
- Dual Wielding: Pistols
- Five Rounds Rapid: Justified. She has abnormally high Agility but lower-than-average-for-a-Musketeer Dexterity, giving her lower damage and accuracy. She gets better when you promote her to put more points in Dexterity, though.
- Glass Cannon
- Gun Twirling
- Guns Akimbo: Double-Guns Shot, Outrage Shot
- Revolvers Are Just Better: She specializes in them.
- Stepping Out for a Quick Cup of Coffee: Once during Gertrude's recruitment quest.
Claude Baudez
Reboldoeux's resident Weapon Merchant, Claude is a big guy with a gruff attitude, and a keen eye on weapons, his specialty. He served as Claire's surrogate father, as well as master, training her along with Idge to be a good equipment engineer like them. - An Adventurer Is You: DPS

- Mighty Glacier
- Parental Substitute: To Claire
- Vitriolic Best Buds: With Grandice, as noted above. They may bicker like an old couple during their younger days, but Grandice did entrust Claude with raising her daughter Claire.
