aka: Girls Frontline Five

Go To

Shared Tropes

  • Boring, but Practical: Certain T-Dolls like M2HB, MG5, PK, and PKP have passive skills that guarantee a damage boost during the initial salvo without having to wait out any cooldown. Sure, they lack the bells and whistles of other MG units, but at the same time they are not plagued by the dependencies that their counterparts have. Furthermore, as most battles in the game are on the short end of the spectrum, having abilities that are guaranteed to activate during said window makes them highly effective at what they do.
  • Hammerspace: Most MG T-Dolls produce mounts for their machineguns from thin air when they actually set down to fire. This is very observable if said MGs are large, unwieldy ones like M2HB or M1919A4.
  • Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: Most of them have rather low base accuracy to compensate for their high damage and rate of fire.
  • More Dakka: Can spray a hail of bullets onto enemy squads before reloading.
  • Situational Sword: The MG class as a whole is really only useful for their Alpha Strike capabilities, specifically against enemy squads that are armored and/or have little to no evasion. When dealing with enemies that fall outside of these categories, their reload times become a liability, especially when enemies with armor piercing attacks can make short work of the SG T-Dolls they're often paired with.
  • Stone Wall: Has the highest HP of all T-Doll types.

  • Cool Big Sis: Fancies herself this to the Commander, often calling him "boy", "young man" or "kid" and teasing him about whether he's into older women or not.
  • Glass Cannon: C-ranked HP. Oddly enough, considering her impressive err..."figure". Both she and CETME Ameli are this despite their body build, which raises some questions.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Possessing both impressive height and sex appeal, she is right up there with M2HB in this regard.

  • Com Mon: Not at the same level as IDW, but she has the same crafting time than WA2000, leading to the same jokes.
  • Gratuitous French: She has a habit of peppering her speech with certain French words, most notably her greetings.
  • Mythology Gag: Mentions her poor balancing in many of her quotes in reference to the real AAT-52's oft-bemoaned wonky handling.
  • Token Mini-Moe: She is the smallest of the MGs currently implemented in-game.

  • Disc-One Nuke: She is easy to get, has decent stats plus a good skill, and fairly resource-friendly, making her recommended for new players and lasts all the way up to endgame. Her nice character design is a bonus.
  • Historical In-Joke: Much of her dialogue consists of her worrying about the amount of ammunition she is carrying with her and trying to use as few rounds as she possibly can. This is likely a reference to a report concerning the low overall availability of the .338 Norma Magnum cartridge, which gives the LWMMG it's edge in long-rage engagements.
  • Ineffectual Loner: She's pretty good, but her cold attitude and Superior Successor attitude tend to rebuff her squadmates.
  • Inseries Nickname: Springfield calls her Lam in her Christmas Cafe story, while others call her Lem. She hates both.
  • The Scrooge: She's extremely stingy when it comes to using resources, going so far as to asking others not to dispose of their Halloween candy wrapping so that she can repurpose them somehow.
  • The Stoic: Overlaps with Ineffectual Loner above, she almost never emotes and doesn't give a hoot about being damaged or destroyed.
  • Superior Successor: How she sees herself, being a cutting-edge machine gun. Her MOD story has her understood that this trope doesn't make her able to take all burdens on herself.

  • Artistic License – Military: The FG42 is classified as an automatic/battle rifle in reality rather than a machinegun, due to its inability to deliver protracted suppressive fire. It was in fact designed to be a paratrooper rifle, hence the namenote .
  • Disc-One Nuke: Her skill makes her a good alternative to LWMMG for a cheaper endgame-worthy machinegun. Her firepower is somewhat lower than LWMMG to compensate for her higher rate of fire, however.

  • Badass Longcoat: Complete with Too Many Belts.
  • Chainsaw-Grip BFG: Subverted. She carries her weapon like this in her illustration and in the manga, but the in-game sprite shows that she carries it with a conventional stance, and actually mounts it on a tripod when firing.
  • Cute Little Fangs: A little hard to see, but she has a pair of them. They're more pronounced in her Halloween costume.
  • The Napoleon: For the sake of your own health, do not poke fun of her height.
  • Small Girl, Big Gun: As shown in the manga adaptation, she's about the same height as the Handgun T-Dolls like Viking.

Voiced by: Izumi Iwamatsu

  • BFG: Her Browning M2 used to the biggest G&K machinegun there is in the game (now supplanted by Kord) and it also fires massive bullets as well, which is reflected in her SS-ranked damage that's monstrous even by RF standards. Only the biggest and baddest (and also slowest) of RF could even hope to match her in terms of damage per shot, whom she easily blows out of the water with her massively higher rate of fire.
  • Disc-One Nuke: Boasting massive damage per volley (she's one of the only T-dolls with a SS rank in damage) and a very powerful passive ability, M2HB's only crimp is her lower rarity that puts a cap on her stat growth. Being a 3-star MG, players wouldn't need to look very far to find her. In fact, Commanders level 60 to 80 are guaranteed to receive one copy of her every ten levels. She's considered on a meta level to be one of the "Big Four" MGs alongside PK, PKP and MG5.
  • Lazy Bum: According to her official profile, she would much rather be slacking off or sleeping when not in combat.
  • Stronger Than They Look: If her supermodel frame is to be believed. She has no problem hoisting an entire 84lb. (sans ammo) Browning M2 around like it's a common assault rifle, and likely the tripod it is mounted on as well. All that adds up to a rather uncomfortably-heavy 128lb. that she's lugging around without breaking a sweat, and that's still not counting the ammo. The M2 is basically the heaviest weapon in-game used by a single T-doll, and the only usable weapon that's heavier is the BGM-71 TOW, and that is accompanied by a full team of 4 T-Dolls.

  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: She has a "survival of the fittest" mentality that makes her clash with L85A1 and especially IDW, whom she constantly berates and sees as useless scrap during her personal story. Quite hypocritical on a meta level since she's barely average as a MG. She grows out of it a tiny bit during IDW's Digimind Upgrade story, after IDW buys Welrod team some time to escape after they're trapped behind enemy lines, nearly getting herself killed in the process. Once they're safe and after Welrod praises IDW for saving her teammates at great personal cost, L85A1 calls Bren out for trash-talking IDW again, since her only idea was to make a Last Stand.
  • Underground Monkey: The Bren was a British adaptation of the vz. 27, itself a variant of the Czechoslovakian ZB-26 that was proposed to Portugal and the UK.

  • Action Girl: During civilian service she was a fitness trainer and training partner for athletes. Even as a T-doll, she is constantly training and even gets the Commander involved with some exercises.

  • Shrinking Violet: Cautious, unconfident, and easy to scare and depress.
  • Underground Monkey: The CAR was a full-auto conversion of the Lee-Enfield, designed in New Zealand to act as a substitute for the Bren and Lewis Gun, which was in severely short supply for a while.
    • There's also an Australian variant that omitted the foregrip and bipod.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She's a massive pyrophobe and carries a fire extinguisher wherever she goes. This is in reference to the ordnance depot fire that destroyed almost all CARs in real life.

  • Ascended Glitch: Her Infinite Ammo Box equipment, able to be acquired from Chapter 7-4N, references a glitch in development where for some reason she specifically never had to reload.
  • D-Cup Distress: In one of her Idle lines, she complains about her breasts getting in the way. Another line shows her worrying about them getting bigger.
  • Underground Monkey: The MG3 is essentially a modernized MG42 chambered to fire 7.62×51mm NATO standard ammunition.
  • You Have Researched Breathing: Her MOD3 upgrade switches out her weapon for the improved MG3 KWS, which features an adjustable stock and is visibly fitted with a scope. As typical, however, she does not receive the benefits from either unless you equip her with the requisite attachments. The former is at least unlocked upon upgrading her to MOD3, but the latter requires you to make one yourself.

  • Cloudcuckoolander: She believes that she is an AR (despite being an MG) and hopes that newly produced Dolls are an AR "like her". Likely in reference to her namesake's odd nature.note
  • Cool Shades: With the exception of the "The Christmas You Wish You Had" costume, every costume of hers has a pair of sunglasses resting on her head. Her MOD3 costume swaps out the aviator design for some ballistic glasses.
M1918: (After sustaining heavy damage) Ahh~~ My sunglasses...
  • Do Not Call Me "Paul": Not a fan of the moniker "Auntie BAR"; she claims she's "not that old". Though she might be younger than Colt M1911 and especially Nagant 1895, she's still one of the older guns, already over a hundred years old by the time the game released.
  • General Failure: Woefully inept as a team leader. Screw-up after screw-up, along with a bad work ethic, lead to her getting chewed out by Super SASS.
  • Genki Girl: She's incredibly upbeat and energetic, which changes sharply following her MOD3 upgrade where she becomes more serious and grim.
  • Glass Cannon: Downplayed, compared to DP28 and Ameli. While she has high Evasion (S-ranked) for an MG and decent Damage (A-ranked), her HP (B-ranked) is nothing to write home about.
  • Hartman Hips: Whaddya mean you didn't notice?!
  • Idiot Hair: In addition to the expected forelock on top, she also has some cowlicks on the sides.
  • Lazy Bum: In contrast to the above Genki Girl entry, and somewhat paradoxically, she's rather work-shy and unserious. Like with the Genki Girl entry, she snaps out of this attitude with her MOD3 upgrade.
  • Misidentified Weapons: A minor case: her weapon is actually the updated A2 model, as evident by the hinged shoulder plate on the stock and the shrunken handguard that covers only the gas tube rather than both the tube and the barrel.
  • Nobody Touches the Hair: One of her secretary lines has her asking you not to touch her hair, fearing it will be damaged. This may be a reference to the flimsiness of her namesake's bipod.
  • Playboy Bunny: Her first alternate costume decks her out like one of these.
  • Preorder Bonus: She's offered as a pre-registration bonus for the English version of the game.
  • Sleepyhead: Not to G11's extent, but she has a habit of taking frequent naps and passing out.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: In her MOD story, she was the recipient of this and The Reason You Suck from Super SASS after asking the latter for her honest opinion on her leadership skills.
Super SASS: "I... Yes, I really do hate you, M1918-san. You don't face your responsibilities, and you're careless in your work. I have no idea why you're a team leader. There's nothing worth learning from you."

  • Combat Sadomasochist: A hardcore Sadist based on her lines, she finds inflicting pain and punishment quite stimulating. Inversely, she herself has no problems with being on the receiving end either.
  • Narcissist: She demands attention, which also serves as another avenue of excitement for her.
  • Underground Monkey: A 7.62x51mm NATO variant of the Mk. 46, which, in turn is a variant of the M249 SAW.

  • Underground Monkey: The Ameli is kind of a weird gun. Externally, it resembles a downscaled MG42 with a carry handle. Internally, it's more in line with the CETME Model L and the G3 family, on account of it being a roller-delayed blowback.

  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Chauchat might be The Klutz, but her stats are excellent for a 4-star unit, being in the top 3 MGs in terms of damage and top 5 for accuracy.
  • Fleur-de-lis: Appropriately for a French gun, her shirt collar is adorned with two lilies and her skill involves using the flowers for quicker reloads.
  • The Klutz: Perhaps at a nod to the real-life weapon's infamous (and alleged) unreliability, Chauchat is depicted as being unrelentingly clumsy, shown in-game by having the slowest reloading speed despite being magazine-fed. Her victory animation has the bolt of her gun snap her finger and her lines imply she keeps losing her gear all over the base.
  • More Dakka: Her "Lily Emblem" skill is a strange variation of this trope. She starts the battle with one stack and gains another one after some time, maxing out at 4 stacks. Each time she reloads, up to two stacks are consumed in exchange for speeding up her reload. At max level, she generates enough stacks to never run out and goes from slowest to fastest reloader of the game.
  • Plucky Girl: Despite having the misfortune of being the only T-doll capable of successfully linking with a weapon like the Chauchat, she is hard-working and doggedly persistent with her efforts.
  • Wearing a Flag on Your Head: Her clothes are blue, white and red, like the French flag, as well as a lock of her hair, similar to Commandant Teste.

  • No Social Skills: As the result of her seriousness and intensity as a T-doll, she has a difficult time getting along with others. She really does want to make friends, but she's afraid that she'll harm them in some way.
  • The Reliable One: A highly skilled and professional T-Doll who is eager to prove her capabilities to the Commander and her comrades.
  • Underground Monkey: The MG5 is essentially a scaled-up MG4 chambered to fire 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition. While this would technically make her MG4's younger sister, MG5 merely suggests that the two are colleagues.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Despite her somewhat mediocre stats across the board, it is MG5's passive skill, great tile buff placement, and huge magazines that make her one of the premier MGs in the current meta. Due to the nature of her skill, however, MG5 is at a disadvantage during very short skirmishes, where battles are usually over before her passive could kick in.

  • The Ace: Calls herself "Combat Specialist Negev" in her introduction line, and as 5* T-Doll, boy does it ever show.
  • All There in the Manual: The official artbook notes her yandere persona was made up to be stronger. It's not until Chapter 7 Night stages reveal the actual reason.
  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: Much of her arrogance is explained by the persona she puts on as explained below, though her title "Combat Specialist" isn't just for show.
  • Berserk Button: She falls for Alchemist's provocations and charges full-tilt into enemy lines during Chapter 6 operations, an action which would eventually strip her of her command and place her under behavioral supervision alongside AR Team.
  • Blood Knight: She would like nothing more than to spill the blood of Sangvis dolls.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: The night stages in Chapter 7 reveals that she has one and a unique reason on making a yandere persona.
  • Sigil Spam: One woman version. She carries close to 20 Stars of David in her clothing, in case you forget that she uses an Israeli gun.
  • Situational Sword: Negev's skill lets her gradually stack up damage the longer she is on the battlefield, with each stack lasting for 25 seconds at level 10. Theoretically, this would make her extremely powerful during longer fights, but practically this is of little use, as battles are usually too short for her to gain maximum momentum short of some extremely specific bosses, namely the two Judge nodes in Chapters 9 and 10, the Gustav armored train in Operation Shattered Connexion.
  • Slasher Smile: Her default expression is this.
  • Small Girl, Big Gun: With her "Little Vagrant" costume. Because of her small size, she can be seen visibly struggling with handling her weapon.
  • Tsundere: She has high self-confidence and thinks highly about herself, but shows a softer side once her affection is earned.
  • Wearing a Flag on Your Head: Her clothing is an obvious reference to the Israeli flag, even moreso than TAR-21. She even wears the Star of David as hair decorations!
  • Yandere: A unique case. Despite being commonly depicted as such by fan artists and widely believed to be one by people who have never played the game, she isn't technically one. She makes that impression, as a way not only to get stronger, but also to cope with Jericho's death.

  • Big Sister Worship: She is constantly trying to gain G3's attention, though it often ends in failure as the accidental result of G3's personality.
  • Dub Name Change: Her name is erroneously changed to "HMG21" on the EN and JP servers.
  • Misidentified Weapons: Only slightly; her weapon appears to be an original HK21 in all ways, including the original barrel length and simpler G3-style stock, save for its bipod being mounted at the front of the barrel shroud as on the improved HK21A1.
  • Temporary Online Content: She's only available through events, as a stage clear reward in Operation Singularity and as a random drop in others since.
  • Underground Monkey: The HK21 is the machine gun variant of the G3, with which it still shares almost 50% parts commonality.

  • Artificial Limbs: Implied by her damaged art. While she is a T-Doll, her legs resemble prosthetics or classical ball-jointed android legs with a layer of artificial skin covering the surface. This is unlike other T-Dolls who appear to have more natural-looking legs.
  • Canine Companion: A German shepherd puppy can be seen popping out of her left hip pouch. Look closely enough and you can see that it also has a prosthetic leg.
  • Shrinking Violet: Her quotes imply that she is easily spooked and that she is shy of others, though she secretly wishes to get along with them.
  • Stance System: In addition to the active effects which activate periodically, Type 88 passively switches between LMG and HMG modes depending on whether she was recently moved or not. Moving her puts her into LMG mode, which raises her mobility at the cost of reduced Accuracy, while sitting still for 6 seconds switches her to HMG mode, which improves Accuracy and adds two more rounds per fired volley.

  • Gathering Steam: From the get-go, Lewis isn't all that impressive, boasting a second-volley skill and the usual stats one would expect from a MG, except for her incredibly high damage value. However, every time she reloads her weapon, Lewis gains an additional round in her magazine and shaves off 15% of her reload time. Lewis starts off with one stack, which stacks up two more times for a total of 3 extra bullets and 45% faster reloads, respectively. This means that, even though she's not very impressive at the outset of a battle, if it drags on long enough, she will be able to outstrip basically every other MG damage-wise, with the exception of a fully-stacked Negev.
  • Identical Stranger: In the Wave Wrangler event, it turns out Lewis looks exactly like her favorite actress.
  • Number Two: Kalina's secretary assistant, a job she shares with Serdyukov.
  • Super-Strength: Her bio states that she has higher physical strength than the average doll, and that she is the reigning champion of Griffin arm wrestling tournament.
  • Temporary Online Content: She is only available as a map E2-9 clear reward during the Isomer event.

  • Always Identical Twins: Befitting the minor physical differences between the real guns, MG36 bears a heavy resemblance to G36, differing only in hairstyle, a mole below her left eye, and her eye color.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: And even "Awesome" is still a big stretch. MG36 was designed with a rather unusual kit that grants her a bevy of different buffs depending on the classes of those sitting on her tiles. To this end, she's among a tiny handful of MGs that buff more than just SGs. When her skill is activated, MG36 gains several buffs depending on who's sitting on her tiles, with ARs increasing her accuracy, SMGs speeding up her reloads, and SGs giving her one extra round in her belt. While this might sound cool on paper, in practice it means the player will have to build a team around herself in order for her to get the most buffs. Keep in mind, most MGs are almost never put into the same team compositions as ARs and SMGs due to their playstyles not synergizing with each other, not helped by MG36's incredibly weird buff tiles and mediocre stats to begin with.
  • Pastimes Prove Personality: Her hobby is watching sci-fi films, and she hopes to work with movies after she is eventually discharged as she believes that her thoughts and feelings are easier to convey via moving images than with words alone.
  • The Quiet One: Her profile states that she doesn't talk much not because she is introverted, but rather she understands her own value and has complete loyalty to her employer. She is also noted to have previously worked a secretive job and refuses to talk about it (Neural Cloud shows her Doll model was designed to be a forensic investigator).
    • Strike up a conversation with her about science-fiction however...
  • Shout-Out: Several of her lines make references to sci-fi films:
    • Her OATH dialogue is a reference to Star Wars' Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back moments before he is frozen in carbonite.
    • Her Battle Start dialogue: "I have a bad feeling about this," is a possible reference to the original Star Wars gag.
    • Her Restoration line is a reference to Roy Batty's "tears in rain" quote from Blade Runner.
  • Underground Monkey: The MG36 is simply a normal G36 modified with a heavy barrel and magazine well to facilitate the use of 100-round Beta C-Drum mags. It has since been discontinued and is no longer offered by Heckler & Koch.

  • BFG: The Kord is a heavy machinegun chambered in the equally-huge 12.7x108mm and weighing 32 kilos unloaded. To call it a "big" gun would be a severe Understatement. Unlike most other MGs on this page, the Kord is almost always a crew-served weapon, even the designated infantry models.
  • Hospital Hottie: For her halloween costume, she dresses up as a zombified nurse.
  • Nice Girl: According to her bio, she's nice to a fault, being literally incapable of turning down any request no matter how outrageous, though the slightest mess up could cause her to ramble on for days.
  • Small Girl, Big Gun: Downplayed. Kord herself is by no means a small woman; as detailed under BFG, her gun is just that massive.
  • Stance System: Her skill is a toggle between Assault and Penetration modes. In the default Penetration setting, her shots pierces enemies standing in a line, with a reduction to both damage and AP stats. When switched to Assault mode, she simply buffs her own damage and accuracy.

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: So far, she is the only T-Doll who voluntarily defects to an enemy faction of her own free will, thanks to the way Shaw programmed her personality and base layer.
  • Become a Real Boy: RPK-16's strange manner of thinking seems to stem from her fascination with humans. So much so that it motivated her to turn against DEFY and join Paradeus, thinking that they will eventually be able to provide her with a human body. In the end, she fulfills this two-fold first by getting an organic Nyto body when she re-emerges during "Fixed Point", but eventually gives that up to become fully human outright... by pulling a Grand Theft Me on Ange towards the end of "Slow Shock".
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Her profile states that she is rather cheery and easy to get along with, in contrast to some of her more stoic DEFY teammates, which was called into question by her actions and demeanor in Dual Randomness. Of all the members of DEFY, she ends up betraying the group.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: She has a tendency to speak in cryptic and slightly disturbing metaphors.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: Administers one to Dr. Leone in Dual Randomness. RPK seems to delight in breaking down Leone's world view (and fingers) while probing her for information.
  • Foil: RPK-16 turns out to be one for M16A1. They are Tactical Dolls who are part of differing groups which work with/alongside Griffin & Kryuger and are lead by human women, they have relatively laid-back personalities and "16" in their designation, and they end up defecting to an opposing force. However, M16A1's group was loaned to G&K and acts in the interests of Persica, while RPK's strictly answers to a G&K Commander turned FSB agent. Additionally, M16A1's swap to Sangvis Ferri was from succumbing to Parapluie in order to help M4A1, while RPK-16's defection to Paradeus was done at her own volition and for selfish reasons. Also, M16A1 carries an American firearm, while RPK's is Russian.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Out of all DEFY members, only AN-94 seems to be in relatively neutral standing with RPK. Ange hates her pretentiousness, AK-15 finds her methods too convoluted, and AK-12 distrusts her for some reason.
  • Grand Theft Me: Succeeds in doing this to Ange towards the end of "Slow Shock" to finally fulfill her desire of being "human", seemingly overwriting her personality in the process to selfishly fulfill her want to feel like a true person as signified by Ange's eyes turning gold after the process is complete.
  • Meaningful Name: Her nickname and the name she adopts after defecting to Paradeus is "Pandora", a reference to just like Pandora's Box, RPK-16's base layer is a forbidden territory that cannot be opened by anybody.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Unlike other MGs, RPK-16 does not immediately reload once her magazine is empty. Instead, she enters AR mode, cutting her rate of fire by a significant margin in exchange for massively increased accuracy and movement speed. Once her skill finishes cooling down, she enters MG mode, reloading at a fixed pace (one second, unaffected by fire rate), removing all stat changes from AR mode, and buffing her own damage for five seconds.
  • Super Prototype: Implied. Shaw created her base layer in such a way that it is completely inaccessible to anyone, effectively making her immune to reprogramming. Hence RPK-16's alternate name — Pandora. She is also not bound with the same Three Laws-Compliant restrictions as the rest of DEFY, as shown when she directly shot Ange. For comparison, AK-12 nearly melted her own neural cloud just by pointing her gun at Ange.
  • Underground Monkey: Depending on how you want to look at it, the RPK-16 is either merely an updated RPK, re-engineered in the same vein as the AK-12, or an AK-12 with a redesigned handguard and modifications to more quickly remove and replace the barrel in the field, either of which lets it serve as the AK-12's squad-support variant.

  • Animal Motifs: Butterflies.
  • Gathering Steam: Her "Perfect Chain" skill either gives extra ammo and increased reload speed to all the other machine guns in her echelon if used passively.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Ample figure? Check. Form-fitting dress with large cleavage and no underwear according to her damaged artwork? Check. Wide-open fur-trimmed coat? Check. The Live2D of her "Cape of Fluttering Dreams" skin goes even further, by giving her breasts and butt Jiggle Physics to the extreme.
  • Nice Girl: She is noted in her introduction as a gentle doll. Her retreat line states she will hold out to cover her allies' retreat. Her lines in 5th Anniversary compliments Commander for being able to gain the trust of all the Dolls, and encourages commander to not fail their affection.
  • The Perfectionist: Despite being kind-hearted, she settles down for nothing short of perfection about her tasks.
  • Underground Monkey: Inverted, as she's the original machine gun that inspired the British Bren (listed above) and the Japanese Type 96.
  • Visual Innuendo: One of her Live2D animations involves her stroking a champagne bottle with her hand until its contents spray out.
  • Wearing a Flag on Your Head: Blink and you'll miss it, but she wears a small Czechoslovak flag patch on her coat.

  • Bottomless Magazines: Similar to RPK-16, her skill ensures that she doesn't need to reload as long as its set to Continous Mode.
  • Marionette Master: A downplayed example. RPK-203 can deploy special teddy bears on shotguns standing on her tiles. These dolls taunt enemies to soak up damage before the SGs do. It's implied that she has other teddy bears modified for different purposes, as her victory animation shows her tossing an exploding one. Otherwise, she does almost all of the fighting using her namesake machine gun.
  • Underground Monkey: The RPK-203 is an export variant of the RPK-74, chambered in the larger 7.62x39mm caliber that's used by the original AK design, technically making it a normal RPK with polymer furniture.

  • Bottomless Magazines: MG338 literally does not stop shooting until she deals the most damage in the echelon. In other words, she can theoretically shoot forever as long as you ensure another doll will always output more damage than her, which is easier said than done considering MG's extreme burst DPS and MG338's own passive raising her critical chance for every attack.
  • Blood Knight: MG338 has two personality settings: a gentle and respectful girl, and a violent battle maniac. The latter is very much apparent in her combat lines, where she taunts enemies under barrage of her machine gun and boasts of her terrifying combat prowess. If her adjutant line is to be trusted, even her training results in collateral damage comparable to an enemy bombardment.
  • Electronic Eyes: While her black left eye has standard performance for a T-Doll, it's her white right eye that has the function to detect subtle changes in human expressions.

  • Cyborg: Had her arms replaced to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • Drone Deployer: Alma's fighting style revolves around her making use of her two aerial attack drones.
  • Emergency Transformation: At the end of the VA-11 HALL-A event, the real-world G&K manage to save the VA-11 HALL-A cast from their world's imminent destruction by extracting their data from 416's neural cloud before she woke up from her alchol-induced stupor. All of them got put into specially-manufactured T-Dolls resembling their former selves (aside from Anna, who got turned into a Fairy instead).
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Like all VA-11 HALL-A units, her own skill in buffed if her preferred drink is being made by Jill.
  • Guest Fighter: From VA-11 HALL-A.
  • Idiot Hair: Just look at her. If anything, it's been substantially downsized compared to the source material.
  • You Have Researched Breathing: Like other VA-11 HALL-A units apart from Jill and Dorothy, Alma has to be equipping her prosthetic hands in order to gain their bonuses, despite them already being an integral part of her body.

  • Adaptation Deviation: The decision made to have Claes be an MG T-Doll instead of an HG or SMG (either her H&K VP70M burst pistol or MP5K submachine gun, respectively) is very strange. While she does in fact pick up a M249 SAW in a chapter of the manga from an arc that wasn't adapted to anime, it's not part of her signature gear, whereas everyone else in the Dream Theater event are equipped with (one of) theirs. If anything, the best fit for a MG T-Doll should have been Angelica, who briefly modified her Steyr AUG into a HBAR and used it in that configuration in Il Teatrino.
  • Badass Bookworm: Like in her home series, Claes likes to read. When in the dorm or exiting combat, she will whip out a book and put on her reading glasses.
  • Gathering Steam: Claes cannot attack normally like most other T-Dolls can without activating her skill. For every 2 seconds Claes is on the field and not attacking, she gains one 25% damage-increasing charge, up to 5 stacks, which she will expend when activating her skill and entering Attack mode. As all stacks are wiped after she leaves Attack mode, and that it only takes a fraction of the full charge time to ready her skill again, in order to gain the most mileage out of her kit, Claes should not be left on Auto skill, since her AI cannot properly time her stacks to deal maximum damage while providing the most buff to her team.
  • Stance System: Played with. Like Jill before her, Claes has access to a few unique Equipment items that provide certain buffs to her team when used in conjunction with her skill. Unlike Jill, however, all of Claes' gear are Accessories, meaning she can only bring one item with her at any given time, and her buffs are given during the passive "Charge" time instead of when she's using her skill.
    • Optical Glasses provides a stackable 8 HP Deflector Shield to all T-Dolls in the front row for 5 seconds every 2 seconds, and can stack up to 3 layers.
    • Celestial Meteor buffs the damage output of every other echelon member by 5% every 2 seconds, and can stack up to 3 times.
    • Wristwatch only affects Claes herself, but grants up to 3 additional rounds in her magazine once she enters Attack mode.
  • Underground Monkey: Gameplay-wise, she has the same exact stats as M249, only differing in skills. M249 has a simple Night Battle damage and ammunition buff, while Claes's skill is vastly more complex, as noted by Gathering Steam and Stance System above.

  • Adaptational Badass: The active portion of her skill has her firing magic at her enemies, something she's not known for doing in her original series. She also doesn't wield a minigun, despite the number of weapons she's used against Jashin.
  • Big Bad: Of the "My Devil's Frontline" event. Yurine is her own enemy faction (her troops are sentient vegetables) and Jashin is the Damsel in Distress. This is turned on its head as early as Chapter 2, given Jashin's Loser Protagonist nature in the source material and her tendency for bald-faced lies.
  • Evil Twin: A demonic clone of Yurine appears in Jinbocho along with a bunch of ELIDs in the tail end of her event, bent on world domination. Unfortunately for Jashin and her T-Doll "summons", the evil Yurine is not a Harmless Villain.
  • Gatling Good: Like the Striker (and unlike Griffin's MG Dolls), Yurine fields a man-portable gatling gun. In her case, it's an M134.
  • Mythology Gag: Her unique equipment, "Grimoire Vol. 2", supposedly has the spell required to send Jashin back to where she came from. The fact that Yurine didn't have it when Jashin was summoned is a perennial sore point for the latter.
  • Random Effect Spell: After reloading, her skill, Endless Punishment, grants her and/or her party one of three random buffs based on which "torture implement" she gets:
    • The trident buffs everyone's damage by 10% and instantly gives 2 ammo to allied machine guns.
    • The iron maiden adds a rate of fire and movement speed debuff to Yurine's basic attacks, dealing three times her damage and stunning them briefly when stacked five times.
    • The chainsaw adds 25% more damage to her basic attacks. The damage specific to this buff never misses and ignores both armor and shields.
  • Small Girl, Big Gun: The '134 is almost as tall as her, and she lugs it around no problem.
