Main Characters

    Benjamin Kirby "Ben" Tennyson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bennyboy10.PNG
Initially a regular ten-year-old kid, Ben Tennyson happened to accidentally stumble upon the Omnitrix, a powerful watch-like alien device, which promptly attached to his wrist. After discovering that it allows him to turn into various alien creatures, each with their own set of powers, he quickly takes advantage of the situation by becoming a Super Hero, dealing with various human, alien, and supernatural threats.
  • Adaptational Badass: In the original canon, Ben's fighting style was focused almost entirely around his aliens. Here, he incorporates his soccer skills into his combat style as a human. When he fights with Cardin as a human in chapter 39, he destroys the jerk. He also gets his Aura unlocked by Maria in chapter 44, though it's apparently on Kylie's level compared to Ruby's due to his Osmosian genetics from his grandmother.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Ben's nicer because it's Ruby and he wants to be friends with her, and because Gwen isn't around to antagonize him, this makes Ben nicer all around.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Without Gwen around, Ben's natural intelligence shines more often. Like, he still makes mistakes and acts like the 10-year-old he is, but he isn't the "dummy" he's occasionally portrayed in canon.
  • Ascended Fanboy: He was a big fan of superheroes as a whole long before he became one himself.
  • Berserk Button: Trying to hurt any innocent people. Then he will get serious and beat the crap out of you.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: It's hinted several times that Ben is smarter than his attitude would suggest; he has been shown to adapt when the Omnitrix gives him the wrong alien and can get an extremely good grade when he is working seriously at school...it's just that he's not engaged.
  • Can't Hold His Liquor: He gets drunk fairly easily.
  • Character Development: Come the time skip, Ben is more mature and serious compared to how he was back when he was a kid.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Ben was still all about being a hero and is willing to do anything to help others.
  • Destructive Savior: Ben tends to cause massive destruction anytime he practices his super-heroics.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Enjoys a good bit of banter with his enemies and is kinda snarky after getting a lot of confidence.
  • Didn't Think This Through: A notable character trait of him at first, something that many enemies took advantage of.
  • Everyone Can See It: His attraction to an older Ruby. Kevin later asks him, very bluntly, why they aren't dating yet.
  • Genius Bruiser: Relatively, and surprisingly for an Idiot Hero. He frequently manages feats of startling intelligence.
  • Henshin Hero: Completed with a green flash and a Transformation Sequence for each alien form.
  • How Do I Shot Web?: Ben initially had a hard time learning how to use the Omnitrix on his own, even causing his first transformation by accident.
  • Jumped at the Call: Ben loves possessing the Omnitrix and acting as a hero, both because of the thrill of adventure and because it allows him to help people.
  • Keet: He is typically depicted as skinnier than average, fairly hyperactive kid when younger.
  • Lethal Chef: He grew out of it, but he once destroyed the Rustbucket's kitchen when trying to make mac and cheese.
  • I Know Madden Kombat: Chapter 39 reveals that, in this universe, Ben can fight without his aliens if need be, when undercover at Beacon, during a spar with Cardin where he can't use his aliens, he destroys the jerk, much to Ruby's surprise, using his soccer skills and a soccer-ball sized projectile.
  • I Shall Taunt You: He quips more than Spider-Man.
  • Made of Iron: Even taking his armor into consideration, it's noted that he's surprisingly tough for an Aura-lacking human.
  • Nice Guy: Apart from being a jerk sometimes, he's kind, forgiving, and can be polite to everyone even though sometimes people get on his bad side.
  • Ninja Pirate Robot Zombie: He is a Kid Super Hero capable of Voluntary Shapeshifting into various Aliens.
  • Older and Wiser: Significantly smarter and wiser than his 10 years old counterpart. He is still a kid at heart, but he actually listens to advice, accepts others' help, and thinks before acting.
  • One-Man Army: Ben can only use one form at a time, but since most of his aliens are more than powerful enough to deal with entire armies it still counts.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: He occasionally does this. The best example is when Ruby brings up a peacock in "Ultimate Assassin".
  • Secret Identity: Very few people know about Ben's ability to transform.
  • Secretly Wealthy: Thanks to him and Max suing the pants off of numerous aliens who created unlicensed media and merchandise based on him and his adventures, Ben is actually rather wealthy, to the point that he suspects that he has more money than Weiss does in Earth terms. He just doesn't use really most of it in case he needs something, though he sometimes secretly helped Ceres with funding for her projects.
  • Strong and Skilled: The Omnitrix gives him access to thousands of different powersets at a moment's notice, giving him the ability to counter almost any adversary. What's more, he has years of experience with each of them, so he knows how to get the most out of whatever form he's using, even when locked to one species
  • Superpower Lottery: The Omnitrix provides Ben with the following abilities:
    • Voluntary Shapeshifting/Combo Platter Powers: His main ability provided by the Omnitrix is to turn into various alien creatures, each one with its own set of powers. He started out limited to ten forms (hence his surname), only to get more and more as the story goes on. By now, he is assumed to possess more than fifty forms.
    • Multiform Balance: With over 1,000,000 potential aliens with various powers, he could handle any imaginable situation.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: As a teenager, he has a fondness for smoothies and to a minor extent chili fries.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Had a fear of clowns when he was younger.

    Ruby Rose
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ruby.PNG
Ruby is Ben's best friend. Ruby is a cheerful, idealistic young girl who always dreamed of becoming a Huntress to help people. However, she is a little socially awkward and somewhat fixated on her weapon, Crescent Rose. She is partnered with Weiss and is the leader of Team RWBY.
  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: Crescent Rose can effortlessly cleave through trees, but Grimm can require additional effort if they're larger and more powerful.
  • Ace Custom: Ruby designed Crescent Rose all by herself.
  • Adaptational Villainy: In-Universe, she's cast as the basis of the "Red Queen", the villain of the cartoon starring Ben's alien forms.
  • Alliterative Name: Ruby Rose.
  • Ambiguously Bi: We know from the Ben 10k chapter that she's attracted to guys, but she's also rather taken with Ceres when they meet for the first time.
  • Anchored Attack Stance: Because of Crescent Rose's intense recoil, Ruby Sword Plants the blade to keep her aim steady when she's using it as a sniper rifle.
  • Audible Sharpness: Crescent Rose literally hums as it slices through the air.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: The youngest of the team (being 2 years younger than the rest) and acts like a spirited and somewhat naive young girl.
  • Badass Adorable: She slays monsters with a smile on her face.
  • Badass Bandolier: Her belt stores the bullets for her sniper scythe. Which she can wield one-handed and which is twice her size.
  • Badass Cape: Dons a red cape in her usual huntress outfit.
  • BFG: When her weapon is in rifle form, the gun alone is almost as long as her body. When the weapon transforms into a scythe, it unfolds to its full length; the blade alone is the same height as her, the handle is at least half as long again, and she can still use it as a gun.
  • Blow You Away: Ruby can use her Semblance to whip up wind so powerful it can pin people to the wall.
  • Clark Kent Outfit: According to her during a spar with Rook, she's actually ripped underneath her clothes.
  • Cleavage Window: Her future outfit has one. Ben sweats upon seeing it.
  • Companion Cube: Ruby is very affectionate towards Crescent Rose, calling it her sweetheart and gently caressing it while it's in hand when she isn't using it as a weapon.
  • Cute Bruiser: She can casually sling Crescent Rose around even though it's as long as she is tall when fully extended. She threw a guy through a window when she was 10. 10!
  • Dramatic Gun Cock: Crescent Rose seems to cock solely for intimidation factor, seeing as it's a bolt-action rifle which has enough technological advancements to transform into a functional scythe.
  • Flower Motifs: Is heavily associated with roses. Her semblance leaves rose petals when she uses her super speed.
  • Fragile Speedster: She can't really take a hit. Hitting her on the other hand is another story altogether.
  • Friendly Sniper: Her primary weapon is, in her own words, a "customizable high-impact sniper rifle", and she's a very cheerful Genki Girl.
  • Generation Xerox: Almost a carbon copy of her mother.
  • Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: Though still a girly girl, Ruby is also an experienced fighter.
  • Grade Skipper: Ozpin let Ruby attend Beacon two years before she'd normally be able to, making her 15 when compared to her 17-year-old classmates.
  • Hidden Buxom: Her corset isn't for show, as the Halloween chapter reveals, she usually uses it to compact her bust so she can be more aerodynamic.
  • The Idealist: Much like canon, she looks for the best in people.
  • Innocent Gray Eyes: Ruby has uniquely silver eyes among the cast and is a Wide-Eyed Idealist who wants to protect others from the Grimm.
  • Like Mother, Like Daughter: Ruby has been shown to be a lot like her mother Summer Rose.
  • Mini Dress Of Power: Her outfit is actually a one-piece, surprisingly. She's also a young capable fighter with lots of potential.
  • Missing Mom: Her mom died when she was young.
  • Nice Girl: Very kind and warm-hearted.
  • No-Sell: Zs'Skayr tries to possess her, but her Aura being active keeps her from getting inside her.
  • Only Sane Woman: Subverted. Her cheerful and excited demeanor makes her prone to reckless decisions that her more level-headed compatriots might not make, like rushing ahead during certain exercises and getting blasted for her troubles.
  • Something about a Rose: She leaves rose petals in her wake while she's dashing around with her Semblance. Her last name is also Rose.
  • Spectacular Spinning: She does a lot of spins with the scythe (often aided by Recoil Boost), and with a weapon that massive with that design, it works pretty well.
  • Super-Speed: Her semblance lets her move at hypersonic speeds for short bursts.
  • Weapon Twirling: Spins her scythe around when she's reloading it.

    Kevin Levin
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kevin_1.PNG
Kevin was originally a street troublemaker kid with the ability to absorb energy, who got regularly bullied and abused by his stepfather. He accidentally absorbed energy from the Omnitrix, causing him to mimic Ben's shapeshifting powers. He became the "Batman" to Ben's "Superman", before getting roped in with the wrong crowd and decided to work to redeem himself.
  • The Atoner: He officially becomes this after realizing how much his mental state is messed up after getting chased by bounty hunters.
  • The Big Guy: Technically the strongest human.
  • Body Horror: Suffers from this 3 times in the series; the first time was having the AntiTrix grow out of his skin, the second was his mutation, and the third was from his growing allergy to the AntiTrix.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: As a child. He used his powers to intimidate others.
  • Canon Welding: Combined the Mutant and AntiTrix from both OS and Reboot into one character.
  • Combo Platter Powers: Absorbing energy from an alien will cause him to gain some of the alien's characteristics and powers. When absorbing energy directly from the Omnitrix, he will eventually turn into a monstrous, chaotic amalgam of several aliens. Eventually, this led to the creation of the AntiTrix.
  • Gentle Giant: He's by far the tallest of the group, but by the time he's a teen, he's seen to be kind.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He tries to keep up his ruffian attitude, but he has genuinely changed and is now a force for good.
  • Musical Theme Naming: This is such a strong theme among his transformation names that it could make fans of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure chuckle in amusement. Either that or Kevin is just that big of a music lover.
  • Teens Are Monsters: Inverted, he was evil as a child, but turned good after becoming a teenager.
  • Took a Level in Badass: With his composite powers, Kevin's allowed to use alien forms without going insane.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: He's much kinder and less of a jerk than he was in Alien Force and Ultimate Alien.

    Ceres North
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/exw4ikbxyaem2m4.jpg
The leader of the Zeta Squad, Ceres was meant to be a mechanic/scientist for the base but had to babysit her team instead. Though don't let her fool you, she gets involved in all the shenanigans willingly.
  • The Ace: She's drop-dead gorgeous and a skilled warrior.
  • Action Girl: Ceres is one of the best fighters in her team.
  • Amazonian Beauty: Is both highly muscular and highly attractive.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Has noticeably dark skin.
  • The Atoner: Defied. She knows very well that she can never make up for the fact that she wiped out an entire race (albeit on complete accident), so she doesn't. She just tries to live with it.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Ready for anything thrown at her.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: In Chapter 27, it's heavily implied that Ceres is a former Child Soldier, whose government and Max's higher-ups basically forced into the Zeta Squadron leadership position when she thought that she was just going for her mechanical engineering degree.
    • Chapter 50 reveals that her desperate attempt to stop the Incursions from attacking her people ended up with her inadvertently wiping the Incursions out, and being congratulated for it. Afterward, when corrupt officials couldn't get her to hand over information on the weapon, they briefly sent her to death row before Lev found her.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: Ceres's Amazonian Beauty looks have apparently gotten the attention of both Ruby and Weiss, and Rook outright says that everyone in Zeta Squadron, which would include Kylie, has feelings for her. Later, a female Plumber outright says that Ceres makes her question her sexuality.
  • Famous Ancestor: Is apparently the granddaughter of Ileana Petranova, who was a personal friend of Azmuth.
  • A Father to His Men: Deeply cares for the Zeta Squadron members under her command, working herself into exhaustion to try and help Kevin when he falls ill, for instance.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Ceres developed Doppler with Ari and Lev.
  • Genius Bruiser: Both physically strong and highly intelligent.
  • The Lad-ette: She was raised in a rough environment and thus acts quite like a rough guy.
  • Mad Scientist: This in spades- she's seen ripping up one of Fistrick's robots for parts and created Doppler.
  • Meaningful Rename: After what happened in her past, she changed her name. Her current first name means "illuminating", which she likes better than her original name.
  • Playing with Fire: Has pyrokinetic abilities. It apparently has to do with sunlight literally running through her, which keeps Zs'Skayr from even trying to possess her.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: Chapter 50 confirms that she has PTSD, from experiencing War Is Hell as a Child Soldier and committing genocide by mistake.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She stands at six-feet-tall, much taller than any of her teammates.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Aloof and stoic on the surface. In reality, she's a dork.
  • Women Are Wiser: She's one of the smartest members of the team.

    Weiss Schnee
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/capture_536.PNG
The frosty heiress to the Schnee Dust Company. Elegant, self-assured, and determined to prove herself, she's cold...but also has a soft side to her. Her weapon is Myrtenaster, a "Multi-Action Dust Rapier" loaded with Dust cartridges that is both a deadly melee weapon and an effective conduit for her Semblance.
  • Adaptational Badass: Weiss gains some knight's armor to cover up her fragility- this helps especially in her fight with the Chainsaw Guy in Chapter 54, as she's able to fight back.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Weiss is much nicer than in canon, especially since she's seen tolerating Ben.
  • Applied Phlebotinum: While it's implied that all the weapons use Dust, Myrtenaster, being a "Multi Action Dust Rapier", uses a lot of it, which makes sense considering her connections.
  • Curtains Matchthe Windows: She has light blue hair with Icy Blue Eyes.
  • Dance Battler: Weiss's moves are poised and graceful like she's ballet dancing or figure skating, even while she's gliding across the floor at high speed. Her dance-like motions are actually intentional as they're required to utilize her Semblance.
  • Elemental Eye Colours: Her piercing, icy blue eyes fit well with her ice powers.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: She ties her ponytail to the right as her way of rebelling against her parents.
  • Girly Bruiser: Wears a "combat skirt" and heels into combat and will gladly destroy cultists with no problem whatsoever.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: Her Dueling Scar is a small pale line over her eye which is easy to ignore when looking at her.
  • An Ice Person: Especially with her sword's blue setting — it's one of her magic types, and the most prominent.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Despite her rudeness, she's very polite to Kylie.
  • Magic Knight: She can use a variety of elemental and supportive abilities with her use of Dust and Glyphs on top of using her sword to cut apart Grimm with speed and grace.
  • Only Sane Man: She stays grounded even when those around her are spiraling into insanity.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Ironwood is her stepfather in this universe.

    Blake Belladonna
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/s_95.PNG
A quiet and secretive young woman who loves books. She is secretly a cat Faunus and also Yang's partner.
  • Action Bomb: She can detonate her clones with fire dust.
  • Alliterative Name: Her first and last name both start with "B".
  • Animal-Eared Headband: The bow she wears on her head is designed to invoke this, giving the illusion of cat ears while hiding her real ones.
  • Animal Stereotypes: She's a cat Faunus and her favorite food is fish.
  • Badass Bookworm: As an outside huntress, Blake already has a wealth of combat experience that gives her a leg up above her peers. She also loves reading literature in her free time.
  • Bizarre Alien Biology: As a cat Faunus, Blake has a pair of Human ears and a pair of cat ears on her head.
  • Combat Pragmatist: She prefers to get the jump on her foes and take them down stealthily from behind, slowly moving through enemy ranks until no one is left standing.
  • Combat Stilettos: Blake's fighting style is highly mobile and acrobatic even though she runs around in high heels.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Blake used to be apart of the White Fang, a group of Faunus fighting for their freedom. She joined to get to know a White Fang member named Adam Taurus, and the two soon fell in love and were romantically involved...at least until Blake realized how unhinged Adam was. After defending herself during a mission, Blake kicked Adam off of a train car...and apparently killed him. She isn't sure, as she never checked the body. She now has to live with that guilt every day...
  • Doppleganger Attack: Played with. Blake's Semblance can create shadow clones to distract opponents and take attacks for her, but she can't actually manipulate them in any way.
  • Dual Wielding: Blake can wield her Gambol Shroud this way, holding the main body with one hand and the sheath (which also possesses a cleaver-like cutting edge) in the other.
  • Hide Your Otherness: As a Faunus, Blake is terrified of being outed because of the torment she would get from people like Cardin, a notorious racist.
  • In the Back: She tends to take down her foes from behind rather than trying to take them in a straight fight.
  • Little Bit Beastly: She's a cat Faunus, giving her cat-like ears on top of her head that she hides with a bow. She also has some cat-like behaviors
  • Meaningful Name:
    • "Blake" is derived from two Old English words that mean "black" and "pale" respectively, reflecting her black and white color motif.
    • To "gambol" is to run or jump around playfully while "shroud" means to hide or conceal something. The chaotic and mutable nature of her use of Gambol Shroud as a gun, sword, and kusarigama as well as her ninja-like combat style make the name a fitting a choice for her.
  • Mix-and-Match Weapon: The Gambol Shroud is a katana attached to a machine pistol. Because it's also tied to a ribbon, she can use it as a kusarigama as well. Even the sheath is able to be used as a cleaver.
  • Most Fanfic Writers Are Girls: Has apparently written “Ninjas of Love” fanfiction.
  • Ninja: She prefers to knock out people from behind before vanishing back into the shadows. She also makes shadow clones and is one of the best at sneaking around and gathering information.
  • Signature Headgear: She wears a bow to hide her cat ears.
  • Super-Senses: Like all Faunus, Blake has night vision.

    Yang Xiao Long
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/exw4ikbwoammmnf.jpg
Ruby's older half-sister, Yang is a fiery young woman who wants to become a Huntress in search of adventure and excitement. A skilled brawler with a powerful Semblance, her passion for fighting is only matched by her flirtatiousness, confidence, and her penchant for cracking lame puns.
  • The Ace: An expert in battle and incredibly smart and beautiful.
  • Adaptational Badass: Yang managed to go toe to toe with both Fourarms and Cannonbolt, aliens who have taken down giant robots and survived re-entry into Earth...and win!
  • Amazonian Beauty: Yang's beauty is on par with Ceres.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Yang is protective of Ruby but less so than canon.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Yang knows she has the skills to pay the bills and is happy to let everyone know it.
  • Boxing Battler: She primarily relies on boxing-style attacks in conjunction with the Ember Celica to deal punishing amounts of damage at point-blank range. She also integrates aspects of kickboxing when her fists aren't enough.
  • Bruiser with a Soft Center: Yang hits hard and fast in a fight and doesn't like to pull punches, but she's warm and friendly to those close to her and downright motherly to her sister.
  • Cleavage Window: As her art shows, her outfit leaves her bosom exposed for all to see.
  • Cool Big Sis: Yang is motherly and doting on Ruby, always rushing to her defense and wants the world to know how awesome she is.
  • Incendiary Exponent: Fire swirls around her while her Semblance is active and she prefers fire Dust rounds for Ember Celica.
  • Leitmotif: "I Burn", an "I Am Great!" Song that represents Yang's confidence in herself and her belief that she's unstoppable if she puts her mind to something.
  • Made of Iron: She can shrug off punches from Fourarms and Cannonbolt.
  • Missing Mom: Yang's birth mother, Raven, took off when she was young. Her stepmother, Summer, died when she was young as well.
  • Mix-and-Match Weapon: Ember Celica is part shotgun, part Power Fist.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She's the biggest source of eye candy amongst the girls, given her generous bust, exposed legs, flowing hair, and provocative outfit.
  • Parental Abandonment: Both of her mother figures, Raven and Summer, vanished on her. Raven disappeared shortly after Yang was born, while Summer went missing on a mission.
  • Parental Neglect: Yang had to pick up the pieces and take care of Ruby while her father Taiyang became emotionally withdrawn after Raven's and Summer's disappearances.
  • Proud Beauty: Yang is happy to show off her good looks and glamorous figure.
  • Pungeon Master: Yang has a penchant for coming up with awful puns in every situation, light-hearted or serious.
  • Recoil Boost: Yang actively uses the Ember Celica's shotgun rounds for this when she isn't firing them at her opponents, guiding her trajectory in midair and allowing her to quickly close the distance for elbow strikes.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her lilac eyes turn blood red when she's truly angry or when she activates her Semblance.
  • Super Mode: After Yang takes enough damage, she can activate her Semblance to dish out twice the damage she took. It also makes her significantly faster.

    Kylie Dombrowski
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kylie.PNG
Kylie is a Huntress turned Plumber and a member of the Zeta Squad. She's known for her gun-wielding skills, empathy, and humor. She is also an Osmosian, like her adopted brother.
  • Ambiguously Gay: It's hinted that she has feelings for Weiss that are more than platonic.
    • She outright asks if Min can sleep with her.
  • Badass Adorable: She takes a more supportive role in combat situations, usually by providing gunfire.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Oh yes. Her scenes are usually comical, but she literally shoots MULTIPLE bullets through Hawlett's head.
  • Childhood Friends: She's best friends with Weiss.
  • Cute Bruiser: Kylie has proven time and time again to be adorable...and also VERY violent on the battlefield, having used her gas mask to crack Fistrick's glass window and riddled a man with bullets.
  • Cuteness Proximity: She finds Echo Echo adorable. Ben gives her pictures of the alien as a birthday present, and when Weiss is turned into a member of Echo Echo's species by Animo's ray, Kylie is cuddling her like a living teddy bear until she returns to normal.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: What she sees when Lord Haslett uses his fear powers on her is what appears to be a flashback to her birth family being brutally murdered while she watched.
    • In a group therapy session, she reveals that she was the youngest child of a family of overachievers, and developed Stepford Smiler tendencies, faking being perfect, studying and doing things she hated for their attention, as they loved the false her for her achievements and not her personality, and she ran away at least once. Then Grimm came to her town, and a Seamstress Grimm, which drains the energy from their prey slaughtered her family, with Kylie managing to escape to a library, where she was rescued by Anna and Sienna.
  • Fighting from the Inside: Her Aura isn't strong enough to keep Zs'Skayr out of her body, but she manages to maintain some control over her body, which she uses to slap herself in the face.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Really fun to be around, but harm any of her friends and...BANG.
  • Genki Girl: Kylie is a very sociable person, having arranged the cabin idea and always happy to go somewhere.
  • Mid-Season Upgrade: Picks up her old weapon- a violin battle axe called "True Rebel."
  • Most Fanfic Writers Are Girls: Writes fanfiction that has her friends and enemies as Bleach characters.
  • Older Than They Look: Her petiteness means that people tend to be thrown by the fact that she's older than Kevin.
  • Odd Friendship: With Weiss. As cute as it is, there's a lot of questions to be asked about HOW they became friends.
  • Stepford Smiler: Weiss wonders if Kylie falls under this, as she's shown smiling off such a traumatic event the next day.
    • She was definitely this in the past as a way of dealing with her overachiever biological family, of whom she was the youngest, describing it as an "autopilot" that studied words she didn't know and did things that she hated.
  • Trauma Button: Whatever happened when she was young, Hawlett certainly pressed it.
    • As revealed in Duped, Kylie's hometown was attacked by Grimm, with her biological parents killed by a Seamstress Grimm, which apparently can suck the energy from their victims, draining them until they're nothing. Anna and Sienna saved her, but she was a wreck, and even after she recovered, she's still terrified at the thought of seeing another Seamstress, even joining the Plumbers in part to gain more experience in case she ever does.

    Rook Blonko
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rook.PNG
A Revonnahgander from Revonnah recently integrated into the Plumbers. A skilled, if inexperienced Plumber. Despite being an alien, he possesses no special powers, instead relying on his skills, training, intelligence, and a device called the Proto-tool that can transform into various weapons and equipment.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Rook's very much more stressed in this universe, given his parents are more vocal at their displeasure of Rook signing up for a war.
  • Badass Bookworm: He is extremely well-read and knowledgeable about galactic history, science, and technology.
  • Badass Normal: Unlike most alien species in the series, he lacks any ability that could be considered a super-power by human standards, and relies solely on his tech and Plumber training. Doesn't stop him from kicking ass.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He's very polite and VERY skilled at combat.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Rook's main color scheme is blue.
  • Character Tics: Rook does not speak with contractions.
  • The Comically Serious: Rook usually deadpans most of his funny lines and playful teasing.
  • Cool Sword: Doesn't get much cooler than a plasma blade.
  • Farm Boy: His entire species' culture is built around farming.
  • Foil: To Ben; he is a By-the-Book Cop with no actual experience, in contrast with Ben being Taught by Experience with little training.
  • Fur Is Skin: Being a cat-like alien, he has fur, but it looks like blue skin.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: Rather chivalrous in nature.
  • Last-Name Basis: Rook is the family name—Blonko is actually his first name.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: His powers are pretty basic, but the tools make it fun.
  • Nice Guy: As in the canon series, he's unflinchingly polite. This extends to his sense of empathy as well.
  • Non-Human Sidekick: Downplayed as he is a humanoid with some cat features.
  • Out-of-Character Moment: Once called the Incurseans "a vile, evil race that the universe would be better off without." Ruby says that she's never heard him speak like this before. A Justified trope; Rook's home planet, Revonnah, produces Amber Ogia, a super fruit so valuable that many would try to steal it. The Incurseans regularly threatened to conquer/destroy his homeworld to get their hands on the stuff.
  • Swiss-Army Weapon: His Proto-tool can transform into almost any kind of weapon, including a sword, energy bow, grappling hook pistol, shoulder cannon, and stun gun.
  • Trophy Child: Implied. His family held him to high standards since he was the firstborn son, and therefore a leader. Being seen and not heard, his every action was a reflection of his father, who was the chief of their people.

    Doppler
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/little_shit.png
Doppler is a "vaccine" created by Ceres, Ari, and Lev in order to keep Kevin alive. He can absorb and use the powers of his host.
  • Adaptation Name Change: From Skurd to Doppler, as the co-author thought Skurd was a "gross" name.
  • Adaptational Expansion: Is brought in much earlier than before, so he has a bigger role than his original counterpart.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: Doppler was made to help keep Kevin alive when his body and the Anti Trix start rejecting each other.
  • Arm Cannon: He manifests powers by either growing an extra arm or forming one from another alien form over an existing one.
  • Equippable Ally: His usual method of helping in a fight is to make a weapon from one of Kevin's aliens.
  • Fusion Dance: Of the composite type; on his own initiative he can mix and match the limbs of Kevin's alien forms.

A chaos demon Gwen accidentally summoned when trying to contact Max's spirit. Like Gwen, she uses magic. She also possesses probability manipulation.
  • Adaptation Personality Change: According to author Transwiththeplans, Min was originally a character in another story, and was written in a more somber tone. Here? She's a bastard and she knows it.
  • Bizarre Taste in Food: Her diet consists of blood because she has to remain on Earth.
  • Inexplicably Identical Individuals: Her human form, for some weird reason, looks almost exactly like Blake, just minus the Faunus cat ears.
  • Noble Demon: A heroic example; she came to Earth to assist Ben since she was writing Max's 'story'.
  • Our Demons Are Different: Min comes from a dimension similar to Ledgerdomain- they write the fate of people throughout the multiverse.
  • Winds of Destiny, Change!: Her ability to change the probability of things.
