  • Armoured Closet Gay: Has with time come to form a crush on his best friend, Bari, but refuses to admit his feelings.
  • Asshole Victim: Received absolutely no pity for his elimination, especially after what he did to Bari and Quincy.
  • The Big Guy: Intends to be this.
    • The Brute: But ultimately ends up being this instead due to his increasingly antagonistic and aggressive behavior.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Downplayed in the bruiser part, but is very accurate nonetheless for the boasting.
  • Dumb Muscle: Brick really isn't the brightest guy in the room usually, but that doesn't change the fact that he is pretty strong.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Has probably the worst temper of the entire cast.
  • Have I Mentioned I Am Heterosexual Today?: Repeatedly wastes time in FMTDI by attempting to flirt with the female competitors...Which never went well for him.
  • Heel–Face Revolving Door: Started off FMTDI as an antagonist, before attempting to become a better person, failing at that and becoming even worse than before, than again deciding to try and be a better person, and the result of that is unknown.
    • Heel–Face Turn: It was ultimately confirmed in the "Stories of Our Own" special that it actually stuck, and while he is still irritable, he is notably nowhere near as bad as before.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: Eventually forms this dynamic with Bari over time.
  • Hot-Blooded: Is prone for rushing to conclusions and getting easily aggressive at the smallest of things.
  • Jerkass: Practically his defining trait in FMTDI was just how much of a dick he is. Despite this, he repeatedly claimed he would change his ways.
    • Jerkass Ball: Throughout FMTDI, he would occasionally become even worse than he usually acts for seemingly no reason.
    • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: He ultimately turns on Bari and tries to get him voted out...Only to get himself voted out instead for betraying his closest friend. This leads to him screaming at everyone, and attempting to attack Quincy soon after.
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Ultimately does come to redeem himself in Bari's eyes, and nearly six years after the original show, he's now taking care of Bari, acting as his roommate and best friend.
  • The Load: Ultimately his terrible attitude, inability to work with his teammates, his lack of intelligence, and the fact he isn't as strong as his fellow teammates led to him ultimately being more of a hindrance to his team than anything remotely helpful.
  • Morality Pet: Bari, whose innocence and caring personality kept Brick in check...For a bit anyways.
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: It's revealed in the "Stories of Our Own" special that while he may still be a jerk, he's also confused on his sexuality, was kicked out of his home by his family, and is working a soul-sapping job just to keep his crappy apartment.
  • Street Smart: While he may not be too mentally smart, he sure knows how to work the streets nowadays.
  • Tsundere: Towards Bari, seemingly refusing to acknowledge him as his friend.

  • Berserk Button: Breaking her trust under any circumstances does not end well for anyone involved.
  • Child Hater: Less "hate", and more that she's uncomfortable around them, and certainly doesn't want to have some of her own.
  • Forceful Kiss: Ends up on the other end of one from Kanaya.
  • Forgiveness: Ultimately forgives Kanaya for all the stupid stuff she does around her multiple times throughout the series. Probably the two big ones though are when she first betrayed the team, and after their Forceful Kiss incident.
  • Freudian Excuse: Her having a hard time trusting those around her mostly comes from her mother abandoning her and her dad at a young age.
  • Heroic Willpower: Ends up making it through every situation, no matter how hopeless, all because of her sheer willpower and determination.
  • Official Couple: With Kanaya.
  • Third-Act Misunderstanding: Kanaya kissing Isabel while she's unconscious due to the former believing they were about to die causes a lot of drama between them.
  • Will They or Won't They?: With Kanaya. They Do.

  • All-Loving Hero: She thinks nothing but highly of basically the entire cast, even if some find her a little annoying.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: After a lot of trial and error across the entire season, she not only gets together with her crush, but also becomes friends with the rest of the cast(including Tempest), and even ends up maintaining connections with all of them.
  • Forceful Kiss: Ends up delivering one to Isabel while she was asleep.
  • Friend to All Children: Absolutely adores children of all ages, and basically fawns over them like a mother.
  • Genki Girl: Is overall really peppy and optimistic, to a point where it's both contagious...And annoying.
  • Odd Friendship: With the wild, incredibly aggressive Tempest.
  • Official Couple: With Isabel.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Multiple times in the story, she nearly ends up ruining her friendships with others due to her inability to properly communicate.

  • The Chessmaster: Singlehandedly masterminded both Alfred's and her own eliminations.
  • The Comically Serious: Treats everything with absolute seriousness.
  • The Cynic: Seemed to be incapable of seeing the good in the world and others...At least until Gareth and Juvia came around.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Upon evolving, her tendencies to be sarcastic and rude went through the roof.
  • Emotionless Girl: Rarely if ever actually shows actual emotions...Except towards Gareth.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Was not particularly popular with the original cast, mostly due to her tendency to approach situations without emotion, and her rather negative view on the world.
  • Ice Queen: Was rude, uncaring, and overall kinda creepy at the beginning of TPI.
    • Defrosting Ice Queen: Despite this, over the course of the season, Gareth and Juvia's influence steadily help her gain some social skills.
  • Little "No": Was more or less her reaction to being asked to join the new season.
  • No Social Skills: Both when evolved and when she wasn't, she is absolutely terrible in social scenarios.
  • Odd Friendship: With both Gareth and Juvia, who are very positive, and very loud, especially when compared to her.
  • OOC Is Serious Business: Faints on the spot after Gareth reveals his feelings for her.
  • Official Couple: With Gareth.
  • The Quiet One: Was easily the least talkative of the Baltoy.
  • Relationship Upgrade: Went from being best friends with Gareth to being his girlfriend.
  • The Stoic: Rarely shows much emotion outside of a single, straight expression.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Treats most of the cast with deadpan sarcasm...But treats Gareth really well, acting as his supportive girlfriend.

Inactive Former Cast Members

    Bari

Bari Adams

"TBA"

TBA

  • 100% Adoration Rating: Bari is adored by everyone in the cast at least on some level. This is mostly due to the fact that, unlike a good number of the cast, Bari is a genuinely kind-hearted guy who only seems to see the best in most people and constantly shows only Undying Loyalty towards his friends, even when he probably shouldn't be so kind. Even the most hateful contestants at least seem to admire something about him. He's even admired outside of the series.
  • Anti-Hero: Unwillingly ended up serving this role throughout FMTDI due to his poor choices in allies causing him to generally be at odds with most of the cast, whether he knew it or not.
  • Big Eater: Good God, this isn't even scratching the surface of it.
    • Black Hole Belly: He can seem put away nearly endless amounts of food, and he's always sure to clean his plate spotless, even if the actual food on said plate stacks up to the top of a house.
    • Too Desperate to Be Picky: Due to him growing up homeless on the streets, he rarely if ever gets a real chance to eat, so he's most certainly going to abuse the idea of free food.
    • Too Hungry to Be Polite: When he gets his paws on food, he more or less loses any sense of trying to be polite about it.
  • Break the Cutie: Brick betraying his trust really did a number on the poor guy.
  • Broken Pedestal: Basically loses any respect he once had for Brick after he attempts to eliminate him while insulting him as useless and pathetic.
    • Rebuilt Pedestal: However, after he genuinely apologizes to him for everything he's done, he decides to give Brick another chance.
  • Butt-Monkey: Acted as one during the pre-merge of FMTDI. Ultimately Downplayed after "Basic Straining", before being completely Inverted by the merge.

  • Abusive Parents: Due to him not acting like Gein, his parents did not react well and went on to become emotionally abusive towards him.
  • The Big Guy: Served this role on the Brainy Baltoy, ultimately being the strongest among them overall.
  • Brainless Beauty: Is seen as really attractive among the male cast. He's also easily among the dimmest of them.
  • Born Lucky: Gets almost ridiculously lucky throughout all of FMTDI when it comes down to avoiding eliminations.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Some of the rather insane stuff he does can best be chalked up to him being pretty hopelessly idiotic, mixed with this.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He may not be too bright, and is a bit too friendly, but he's actually pretty strong for his species, being considered the most athletic member of the Brainy Baltoy.
  • Demoted to Extra: Ultimately decides to not compete in the new season.
  • The Ditz: He's...Certainly not the brightest.
  • Dumb Is Good: Is both one of the dumbest, and kindest contestants of the entire series.
  • Idiot Hero: Served as a main character of FMTDI, and wasn't particularly intelligent.
  • Kindhearted Simpleton: She's easily one of the nicest, most idealistic people in the game. He's also kind of an idiot.
  • Loon with a Heart of Gold: He's very immature, stupid, childish, and downright moronic for his age. Doesn't mean he isn't a good person.
  • Odd Friendship: With the emotionless, creepy Violet.
    • Ultimately comes to respect his other half, Gein, even viewing him as a type of brother.
  • Official Couple: With Violet.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: With Juvia, who he's stayed in contact with even long after FMTDI.
  • Pretty Boy: Isn't particularly athletic or intelligent, but dang is he pretty.
  • The Protagonist: Served as the main character of FMTDI.
    • This is even reflected in the "Stories of Our Lives" special, where he's the first contestant shown on-screen, and the only one to get multiple appearances in the story.
  • Relationship Upgrade: Went from being best friends with Violet to being her boyfriend.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Basically everyone calls him out on the fact that his crush on Violet has made him not show up for the following challenge(Dodgeball), and even ends up avoiding Juvia and Violet, his best friends.

Gareth's "other half" that appears after Coulton hits him against a boulder.

  • Demoted to Extra: Due to Gareth no longer competing in the new season, he's likely going to get even less screentime than before, even when compared to Gareth.
  • Hate Sink: Openly portrayed as the exact opposite of Gareth, and not in a good way, supplying no likable qualities. Ultimately Inverted upon the reveal of how much he actually cares about Gareth.
  • Hidden Depths: Is nowhere near as terrible of a person as he lets on, as he looks out for Gareth and is more neutral than truly evil.
  • Jerkass: He's rude, cynical, and very antagonistic towards Gareth most of the time.
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While he is a jerk, that doesn't take away from the fact he truly does care about Gareth as his other half.
  • Kick the Dog: All of his actions towards Gareth's fellow contestants and Logan are very mean-spirited and cruel, to a pretty despicable extent.
  • Odd Friendship: Ultimately comes to respect his other half, Gareth, even viewing him as a type of brother.
  • Walking Spoiler: His entire existence is a spoiler.
