This is the character sheet for the Fallout Equestria: Wasteland Jewel.

Ruby Starlight

A Stable Dweller from Stable 26 built on the outskirts of Neigh Orleans, she's an orphan who left the Stable after being chosen to survive on the outside for an entire year. She's a medical Pony who was drawn into the conflict between the New Canterlot Republic and the Crimson Empire.

  • Badass Pacifist: To an extent, she's willing and more than capable of fighting, but she refuses to kill unless pushed to that extreme or has no choice.

  • Chosen One: Played with, but mostly subverted. She is chosen by the Stable 26 computer to leave the Stable in order to see if she can survive for a full year, the idea of her being a Chosen One is mostly ignored outside the Stable.
  • Covert Pervert: She's one in denial if her tendency to check out mare's flanks is anything to go by, Bluesky even lampshades it.
  • Combat Medic: She was trained as a medic while she lived in the Stable, which is handy when you live in the Equestria Wastelands.
  • Expy: Of various Fallout protagonists, but quite a bit of Velvet Remedy from Fallout: Equestria.
  • Friend to All Children: She loves children, and is more than willing to help them out.
  • Official Couple: With Bluesky as of chapter 9.
  • Red Is Heroic: She's mostly red.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Ironically enough, she's the Blue Oni to Bluesky's Red Oni.

  • Through a Face Full of Fur: To the point its basically a running joke for someone to make her blush, and its apparently very visible through her natural red coloring.
  • Unicorn

Bluesky

A Pegasus mercenary that works for the New Canterlot Republic in an unofficial capacity, she is the first Pony that Ruby meets in the Wasteland. She often likes to tease Ruby, but really cares about her deeply. Not much is known about her past other than that her mother was a Dashite and her father lived on an island.

  • Blue Is Heroic: Her name even has the color in it.
  • Expy: Not of any particular character, but she shares some qualities with Calamity in the original Fallout: Equestria.
  • Meaningful Name: A reference to the phrase Blue-Sky means to not be grounded in the realities of the present.
  • The Nicknamer: She enjoys giving other ponies nicknames, like calling Ruby Doc.

  • Noodle Incident: Exactly what happened with her in Crystal City, all we know is that it somehow involved her being made Sheriff, which lasted a week and somehow involved a Brahman. She made a cameo in another fanfic after the incident, and it gave no further information.
  • Official Couple: With Ruby as of chapter 9.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Her actual name has never actually been mentioned.
  • Pegasus
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Ironically enough, she's the Red Oni to Ruby's Blue Oni.

Midnight

A Stable Dweller from Stable 13 who joined up with the New Canterlot Republic and was one of the founding members of the NCR Rangers. She comes from a tribe called the Dayrunners living up in the northern end of Equestria. She joined up with Ruby Starlight during the Battle of the Northern Fields during the first story arc.

  • Action Mom: She has a daughter named Aurora living with her tribe.
  • Arch-Enemy: Implied to have one in General Black Sun.
  • Colonel Badass: She's a Colonel in the New Canterlot Republic Rangers.
  • Ranger: She's the commander of the NCR Rangers in Neigh Orleans.
  • The Reveal: That she's a Stable Dweller from Stable 13, much like Ruby is a Stable Dweller.

Xiraia/Melody

A Zebra that serves as the DJ for NCR Radio, she disguises her voice to make others think she's a Pony. She's often heard broadcasting throughout the fanfic and appears in chapter 9.

  • Catchphrase: Only when she's broadcasting, but "Greetings everypony out there in Pony Post-Apocalyptia," doubles as a Mythology Gag.
  • Expy: Of Three Dog from Fallout 3 and Homage from the original Fallout: Equestria fanfic.
  • The Reveal: That she's really a Zebra in chapter 9.
  • Shock Jock: She serves as the DJ for NCR Radio.

Doctor Whooves/The Doctor

A time traveling Pony from before the war, he crash landed in the Wasteland and provided assistance and exposition to Ruby Starlight.

  • Ascended Extra: Compared to his role in the show he's gone from a background character to the Big Good.
  • Big Good: Is the closest thing in the fanfic to this, working to make sure that Ruby is on the right path.
  • Expy: In addition to obviously being one of the Doctor from Doctor Who, he also serves the same role Spike did in the original Fallout: Equestria.
  • Shout-Out: Has several to Doctor Who.
